Qualitätsprodukt entschieden, das bei bestimmungsgemäßer Verwen-
dung eine lange Lebensdauer garantiert. Diese Betriebsanleitung in-
formiert Sie über den richtigen und sicheren Einsatz. Fragen Sie Ihren
SpanSet-Fachhändler oder SpanSet-Anwendungstechniker soweit Sie

SpanSet Jokerhaken sind für die gewerbliche Nutzung konzipiert.
Nutzen Sie die Jokerhaken erst dann, wenn Sie die Betriebsan-
leitung vollständig gelesen und verstanden haben! Beachten Sie außer-
dem die allgemeinen Regeln1zum Heben von Lasten. Die Betriebsan-
leitung ist über die gesamte Nutzungszeit aufzubewahren und mit dem
Produkt weiterzugeben. Bei Nichtbeachtung sind schwere Unfälle
mit Verletzungs- oder gar Todesfolge möglich!

Gefahr! Die Nichtbeachtung dieser besonders wichtigen Hin-
weise kann zu falscher Handhabung führen! Schwere Unfälle
mit Verletzungs- oder gar Todesfolge sind möglich.
Bitte beachten Sie die auf der ausklappbaren Seite vorhandenen Sym-
bole, die unter der nachstehenden Nummerierung erläutert werden:
1 Jokerhaken dürfen nicht über Nenntragfähigkeit (WLL) belastet wer-
den. Die Jokerhaken können brechen oder beschädigt werden!
2 Beschädigte, überlastete oder verschlissene Jokerhaken müssen
sofort außer Betrieb genommen werden. Die Tragfähigkeit ist nicht
mehr gewährleistet.
3 Der Jokerhaken darf nicht zum Personen- und/oder Tiertransport ein-
gesetzt werden, da die Haken für diese Anwendung nicht ausgelegt
sind!

4 Jokerhaken dürfen nur im Hakengrund tragen. Ein Verkanten stellt
eine Fehlbelastung dar. Der Haken kann brechen und die Last kann
herabfallen.
5 Den Jokerhaken nicht über eine Kante anschlagen. Der Jokerhaken
wird beschädigt und die Last kann herabfallen.
6 Lasthaken dürfen nicht auf der Spitze belastet werden. Der Jokerha-
ken wird beschädigt und die Last kann herabfallen.
7 Lasthaken dürfen nur so verwendet werden, dass ein unbeabsichtigtes
Aushängen und damit das Herabfallen der Last ausgeschlossen ist.
8 Metallische Beschlagteile (z.B. Lasthaken) dürfen nicht unter chemi-
schen Einflüssen, z.B. in Säuren, Laugen und deren Dämpfe einge-
setzt werden. Erhebliche Festigkeitsverluste sind die Folge.
9 Beim Heben darf die Last nicht außer Kontrolle geraten. Pendelnde
u. rotierende Lasten können Gebäude, Maschinen oder Menschen
verletzten, Bauteile können herabfallen.

1 Funktionsbeschreibung
SpanSet Jokerhaken werden nach DIN EN 1677-2 gefertigt und be-
stimmungsgemäß mit SpanSet Rundschlingen nach DIN EN 1492-2
und Hebebändern nach DIN EN 1492-1 kombiniert und zum Heben von
Lasten eingesetzt. Die verschieden Jokerhaken sind über ihre Herstel-
lerkennzeichnung und ihre Begleitpapiere eindeutig zu identifizieren.
Jede Veränderung an den Jokerhaken ist verboten. Mithilfe von Joker-
haken können SpanSet Rundschlingen und Hebebänder an z.B. Ringö-
sen, Ringschrauben, Schäkeln und Lastböcken angeschlagen werden.
2 Sicherheitshinweise u. Handhabung
Nur unterwiesene Personen (befähigte Person) dürfen Lasten

anschlagen. Es ist verboten, Jokerhaken für andere als die bestim-
mungsgemäße Verwendung einzusetzen. Nutzen Sie den Jokerhaken
ausschließlich in Kombination mit SpanSet Rundschlingen und Hebe-
bändern gleicher Tragfähigkeit oder textilen Anschlagmittel gleicher
Spezifikation. Lesen Sie unbedingt auch die Betriebsanleitung der
textilen Anschlagmitteln. Die Betriebsanleitung der Hebebänder und
Rundschlingen enthalten wichtige ergänzende Informationen, die für
einen sicheren Hebevorgang unerlässlich sind. Das textile An-
schlagmittel muss vollflächig im Jokerhaken aufliegen und darf nicht
gequetscht werden, da nur so die Nenntragfähigkeit des Anschlagmit-
tels gewährleistet ist. Jokerhaken werden aus Stahl der Güteklasse 8
gesenkgeschmiedet. Der Einsatz von Jokerhaken ist unbedenklich in
einem Temperaturbereich von - 40°C bis + 200 °C. In Kombination mit
textilen Anschlagmitteln begrenzt die geringe Einsatztemperatur der
textilen Anschlagmittel (z.B. PES 100°C) das Einsatzspektrum.

Der Aufenthalt im Gefahrenbereich (z.B. unterhalb der Last)
ist verboten!
$
Planen Sie den Anschlag-, Hebe- und Absetzvorgang der Last
vor dem Beginn des eigentlichen Hebevorganges mit großer
Sorgfalt. Wer unüberlegt anschlägt, nimmt eine mögliche Beschä-
digung der Last in Kauf oder gefährdet Leben und Gesundheit der
Mitarbeiter!
3 Betrieb der Jokerhaken
3.1 Inbetriebnahme
Vor dem ersten Einsatz prüft der Anwender ob der vorliegende Jo-
kerhaken dem Bestellten entspricht, die Vollständigkeit der Begleit-
papiere (u. a. Konformitätserklärung) und die Übereinstimmung der
Angaben in den Begleitpapieren mit der Produktkennzeichnung. Im
Rahmen der Inbetriebnahme ist eine Sichtprüfung durch die befähigte
Person durchzuführen und nach DGUV Regel 100-500, Kapitel 2.8;
früher BGR 500, Kapitel 2.8 zu dokumentieren. Hierzu kann z.B. eine
Tabelle erstellt oder eine Prüfkarte ausgefüllt und hinterlegt werden.
Die Ausrüstung von Jokerhaken mit RFID-Tags und die elektronische

Dokumentation der Inbetriebnahme z.B. mit IDXpert (Datenbank)
beschleunigt und vereinfacht die oben beschriebene Routine.
3.2 Montage
Jokerhaken dürfen nur mit Rundschlingen und Hebebändern gleicher
Tragfähigkeit kombiniert werden. Die Geometrien der Jokerhaken, He-
bebandschlaufen und z.B. der Anschlagpunkte an der Last sind hierbei
zu berücksichtigen (vgl. 3.3 u. 3.4).

Die Farbe der Jokerhaken wird analog der DIN EN 1492 ausge-
führt, so dass die Kombination der textilen Anschlagmittel über die
gleichartige, farbliche Kennung der Tragfähigkeit vereinfacht wird.
Sollte das Anschlagmittel bereits werksseitig mit Jokerhaken verbun-
den sein, so entfällt die Notwendigkeit zur Montage !
 So montieren Sie Jokerhaken
1. Drücken Sie die Sicherheitsfalle nach innen und führen Sie das An-
schlagmittel (z.B. Rundschlinge) bis zum Hakengrund in den Haken ein.
2. Ziehen Sie das das Anschlagmittel bis in den Hakenkopf.
3. Verteilen Sie das Anschlagmittel gleichmäßig und ohne Falten auf
die gesamte Innenbreite des Hakenkopfes. Eine Rundschlinge bzw.
Hebeband sollte die Bandaufnahme so weit ausfüllen, dass ein seitli-
ches Verschieben und damit Verkanten vermieden wird.
4. Jetzt ist der Joker am Anschlagmittel angebracht. Sie können jetzt
das Anschlagmittel mit dem Jokerhaken an der Last anschlagen

Gewicht, Geometrie, Oberflächenbeschaffenheit und die konstrukti-
ven Besonderheiten der Last sind die bestimmenden Kriterien für die
Auswahl des Anschlagmittels.

Die Kombination der Jokerhaken mit SpanSet Rundschlingen-
gleicher Nenntragfähigkeit ist zulässig.Der Haken mit WLL 6t
kann auch für die Rundschlingen/Hebebänder mit WLL 4t und WLL
5t genommen werden.Ebenso ist der Haken mit WLL 10t auch für

Rundschlingen/Hebebänder mit WLL 8t zu verwenden.
Hebebänder werden mit unterschiedlich konstruierten Schlaufen
gefertigt. Infolge sind Dicke und Breite der Hebebandschlaufe für
eine mögliche Kombination mit dem Jokerhaken entscheidend. Das
Hebeband muß vollflächig im Jokerhaken aufliegen, darf aber nicht
gequetscht werden .
3.4 Anschlagen
Hilfreich sind in Lastrichtung ausdrehende Anschlagpunkte, deren
Geometrien mit dem Jokerhaken harmonieren u. eine optimale (richti-
ge) Lastverteilung und Ausrichtung der Jokerhaken ermöglichen.
Positionieren Sie den Jokerhaken so am Anschlagmittel und an der
Last, dass er während des Hebevorgangs keiner Querbelastung ausge-
setzt ist. Der Hakengrund muss sich im Anschlagpunkt frei bewegen
können. Der Haken kann sich so ausrichten und die Last aufnehmen.
$Der Jokerhaken 1-3 to kann auch zum Verlängern u. Verbinden von SpanSet-Polyester-Rundschlingen gleicher Tragfähigkeit oder anderen
Rundschlingen gleicher Spezifikation genutzt werden . Prüfungen haben
belegt, dass die Auflage der Schlinge im Hakengrund kein Risiko darstellt.
4 Überprüfung, Pflege, Reparatur u. Außerbetriebnahme
Der Jokerhaken muss vor jedem Einsatz auf augenfällige Mängel über-
prüft werden. Stellen Sie Mängel fest, die die Sicherheit beeinträch-
tigen, dürfen Sie den Jokerhaken nicht mehr verwenden. Eine Prüfung
durch eine befähigte Person ist entsprechend der vom Unternehmer
festgelegten Prüffrist, mindestens jedoch einmal jährlich, durchzuführen.
Entsprechend den Einsatzbedingungen und den betrieblichen Gegeben-
heiten können zwischenzeitlich weitere Prüfungen erforderlich werden.
Die Prüfungen sind nach DGUV Regel 100-500 zu dokumentieren. Der
Jokerhaken muß zusätzlich mindestens einmal alle 3 Jahre einer Riss-
prüfung unterzogen werden. Die Prüfung muss in Übereinstimmung mit
EN 10228 Teil 1(Magnetpulverprüfung - „Fluxen“) oder Teil 2 (Eindring-
prüfung) erfolgen. Eine außerordentliche Prüfung nach Schadensfällen
oder besonderen Vorkommnissen, die die Tragfähigkeit beeinflussen, ist

durch eine befähigte Person durchzuführen.

Beschleunigen und vereinfachen Sie die Dokumentation der An-
schlagmittelprüfungen. Mit IDXpert bietet SpanSet geeignete Soft-

Der Jokerhaken darf nicht mehr verwendet werden, wenn Sie einen
der folgenden Mängel feststellen:
-Schäden durch Einwirkung aggressiver Stoffe wie z.B. Säuren oder Laugen
-Die Kontaktflächen mit dem textilen Anschlagmittel beschädigt sind
oder Gebrauchsspuren, wie z.B. Kerben aufweisen
-u.a. der Hakengrund mehr als 5% des Querschnitts verschlissen ist
-Die Sicherheitsklappe beschädigt ist, klemmt oder offen steht
-Der Haken verbogen ist oder Korrosion zeigt
-Risse oder Quetschstellen vorhanden sind
-Der Haken Spuren von zu großer Hitzeeinwirkung zeigt
Reparaturen darf nur der Hersteller oder eine von ihm beauftragte
Person durchführen. Sie beschränken sich bei Jokerhaken auf die
Sicherungsklappe. Können Jokerhaken nicht mehr repariert werden,
kann das metallische Beschlagteil der Wertstoffverwertung zugeführt
werden. Mit Ölen und/oder Chemikalien verunreinigte Jokerhaken
sind als Sondermüll zu entsorgen.
5 Lagerung u. Reinigung
Bewahren Sie Jokerhaken in trockenen und belüfteten Räumen, frei
von chemischen Einflüssen auf. Verschmutzte Jokerhaken reinigen und
die Mechanik der Sicherungsfalle leicht einölen. Für die Reinigung
können handelsübliche Kaltreiniger (ohne Kaliumhydroxid und/oder
Glykolether) genutzt werden. Methoden wie Abbrennen oder andere
Verfahren, die zu Wasserstoffversprödung, Materialabnahme (z. B.
Sandstrahlen) oder Rißbildung führen, sind unzulässig.
6 Wissenswertes u. Schulung
Jokerhaken entsprechen in vollem Umfang den Forderungen der DGUV
Regel 100-500 , der EG-Maschinenrichtlinie 2006/42/EG sowie der DIN EN
1677. Wir weisen darauf hin, dass die aufgeführten Normen und Vorschrif-
ten beispielhaft sind. Bitte beachten Sie, dass für bestimmte Branchen und

Einsatzbereiche spezielle Sicherheitsregeln bestehen können, die unbedingt
zu beachten sind. Beachten Sie die regionalen Arbeitsschutzvorschriften
beim Einsatz von textilen Anschlagmitteln, wie z.B. die Regeln der Berufsge-
nossenschaften in Deutschland. Weitere Informationen und die Bezugsquel-
len der Regelwerke erhalten Sie bei Ihrem SpanSet-Fachhändler oder direkt
bei SpanSet. Die zusätzliche Ausrüstung von Jokerhaken mit RFID-Tags zur

stand the operating manual! Also, follow the general rules1for lifting
loads. The operating manual must be kept for the entire period of use
and passed along with the product. Non-compliance may cause

Please observe the symbols on the foldout pages, which are explained

1 Joker hooks must not be loaded above their working load limit (WLL).
Joker hooks can be broken or damaged!
2 Damaged, overloaded or worn joker hooks must immediately be re-
moved from use. The load-bearing capacity is no longer guaranteed.
3 The joker hook must not be used when transporting people and/or
animals, because the hooks are not designed for this application!
4 Joker hooks must be used only in the hook bed. Tilting causes a false
load. The hook may break and the load may fall.
5 Do not fasten the joker hook against an edge. The joker hook may be
damaged and the load may fall.
6 Load hooks must not be loaded on the hook tip. The false load consi-

derably reduces load capacity.
7 Load hooks must be used only in such a way as to prevent unintenti-
onal unhooking. The load may fall.
8 Metal fittings (such as load hooks) must never be used in acids. This
will considerably reduce strength.
9 During lifting, the load should never get out of control. Swinging or
rotating loads may hurt buildings, machines or people, and compo-
nents may fall.

1 Functional description
Joker hooks are manufactured for their intended purpose in accordance
with DIN EN 1677-2 and combined with SpanSet round slings in ac-
cordance with DIN EN 1492-2 and lifting straps in accordance with
DIN EN 1492-1 and used to lift loads. The various joker hooks can be
clearly identified by their manufacturer labelling and accompanying do-
cuments. All modifications to joker hooks are forbidden. Using joker
hooks, SpanSet round slings and lifting straps can be fastened to ring
lugs, eye bolts, shackles, load frames, etc.
2 Safety instructions and handling
Only trained (authorized) persons may fasten loads. It is forbidden to use
joker hooks for any unintended use. Use the joker hook only in combination
with SpanSet round slings and lifting straps of the same load capacity or
with textile slings of the same specification. The operating manual for the
textile sling must also be read. The operating manual for the lifting straps
and round slings contain important additional information necessary for a
safe lifting process. The textile sling must lie fully in the joker hook and not
be pinched, because this is the only way to guarantee the sling’s nominal

load capacity. Joker hooks are drop forged from class 8 steel. It is safe to
use joker hooks within a temperature range of -40°C to +200°C. When used
in combination with textile slings, the lower operating temperature of the
textile slings (e.g. PES max. 100°C) limits the range of applications.
#Never stay in the danger zone!
$ Plan the load’s fastening, lifting and lowering process with the greatest of care before the actual lifting process. Reckless fas-
tening can damage the load or endanger employees’ life and health!
3 Operating joker hooks
3.1 First use
Before first use, the user must inspect the lifting straps/belt strap hangers
for compliance with the order, completeness of accompanying documents
(e.g. declaration of conformity and manufacturer certificate) and con-
formance of the data in the accompanying documents with the product
labels. Upon first use, an authorized person must make a visual check and
document it according to DGUV rules 100-500, chapter 2.8; former BGR
500, chapter 2.8. For this, a chart can be created or an inspection card
filled out and saved. Equipping products with RFID tags and electronic do-
cumentation of commissioning, such as with IDXpert®(database), speeds
up and simplifies the routine described.
3.2 Mounting
Joker hooks must be combined only with round slings and lifting straps of
the same load capacity. Always observe the geometries of the joker hook,
lifting strap loops and fastening points to the load (see 3.3 and 3.4).
#Joker hooks are coloured according to DIN EN 1492 to simplify their combination with textile slings of the same load capacity
and colour code .
If the sling has already been connected to joker hooks at the factory,
mounting is not necessary!

How to mount joker hooks
1. Press the safety latch inward and guide the sling (e.g. round sling)
to the bed of the hook.
2. Pull the sling into the head of the hook.
3. Distribute the slinging gear evenly and without wrinkles to the
entire internal width of the hook head. A round sling or lifting strap
should fill the strap holder to the extent that lateral shift and the
associated tilting is prevented.
4. Now the joker hook has been fastened to the sling. You can now
use the joker hook to fasten the sling to the load.
3.3 Selection 
The weight, geometry, surface condition and design features of the
load are crucial criteria for choosing the sling.

The combination of the Joker hook with SpanSet round slings
with the same working load limit is permitted. The hook with
WLL 6t can also be used for round slings/lifting straps with WLL 4t
and WLL 5t. In the same way the hook with WLL 10t may also be used
for round slings/lifting straps with WLL 8t.
Lifting straps are made with various loop constructions. Therefore,
the thickness and width of the lifting strap loop is decisive for possi-
ble combination with the joker hook. The lifting strap must lie fully in
the joker hook and must not be pinched 11 .
3.4 Fastening
It is helpful to use sling points that turn in the direction of the load.
Their geometry must be compatible with the joker hook and allow opti-
mal load distribution and direction of the joker hook. Position the joker
hook on the sling and the load in such a way that there is no transverse
load during the lifting process. The hook bed must be able to move
freely in the sling point. The hook can line up and take up the load.

The joker hook 1-3 to can also be used for extending and con-
necting round slings 10 . Tests have shown that the condition of

the sling in the hook base does not pose a risk.
4 Inspection, maintenance, repair and end of use
Joker hooks must be checked for defects before each use. If you detect
defects, the joker hooks must be set aside.An authorized person must
perform the check according to the employer’s specified inspection inter-
val, but at least once per year. Depending on the usage and operational
conditions, interim inspections may also be necessary. The inspections
must be documented according to DGUV rules 100-500. Additionally,
all metallic fittings must undergo crack inspection at least once every
three years. The inspection must be done according to EN 10228 Part 1
(Magnetic powder testing - “fluxes”) or Part 2 (Penetration Test). After
first use, an authorized person should make special inspections after
damage or special incidents that may affect the load capacity. An excep-
tional check is to be carried out by a suitably qualified person following
damage or a special occurrence which may affect the carrying capacity.

The joker hook must no longer be used if you discover one of the
following defects:
-Damage from aggressive substances, such as acids or lye
-The contact surfaces to the sling are damaged or show signs of wear,
such as notches
-I.a. Hook base is worn by more than 5% of the cross section
-The safety flap is damaged, sticks or stays open
-The hook is bent or shows corrosion
-There are cracks or crush points
-The hook shows signs of major heat damage
Repairs can be made only by the manufacturer or a manufacturer-
authorized person. For joker hooks, they are limited to the safety flap.
If joker hooks can no longer be repaired, the metal fitting can be
recycled. Joker hooks contaminated with oils and/or chemicals must
be discarded as special waste.

5 Storage and cleaning
Store joker hooks in a dry, ventilated area, free of chemical effects.
Clean dirty joker hooks and lightly oil the safety jaw mechanism.
Cleaning can be done with commercially available cold cleaners (free
of potassium hydroxide or ethylene glycol). Methods such as burning
or other processes that lead to hydrogen embrittlement, material loss
(such as sandblasting) or cracking are forbidden.
6 Training and important things to know
SpanSet lifting straps/belt strap hangers fully meet the requirements
of DGUV rules 100-500, 1492-2, EC machine guideline 2006/42/EC, as
well as DIN EN1977. Please note that the standards and guidelines
listed are only examples. Please be aware that specific industries and
applications may have special safety requirements that must be com-
plied with. When using textile slings, observe regional occupational
safety regulations, such as the rules of the professional associations
in Germany. You can get more information and access sources for the

1 Description du fonctionnement
Les crochets Joker sont fabriqués en conformité avec la norme DIN
EN 1677-2 et combinées avec les élingues rondes SpanSet conformes
à la norme DIN EN 1492-2 et les élingues plates en sangles tissées

conformes à la norme DIN EN 1492-1 et utilisés pour le levage de char-
ges. Les différents crochets de fixation Joker peuvent être identifiés
de façon évidente grâce au marquage du fabricant et aux documents
d’accompagnement. Il est interdit d’apporter des modifications aux
crochets de fixation Joker. À l’aide des crochets de fixation Joker, il
est possible de positionner des élingues SpanSet et des bandeaux de
levage, comme des œillets circulaires, des vis à œillets, des manilles et
des supports de charge.
2 Consignes de sécurité et utilisation
Seules les personnes autorisées (personnes qualifiées) doivent posi-
tionner des charges. Il est interdit d’utiliser les crochets de fixation
Joker pour une utilisation non conforme. Utilisez exclusivement les
crochets de fixation Joker en association avec des élingues SpanSet
et des bandeaux de levage ayant une capacité de charge identique ou
des moyens de butée textiles ayant des spécifications identiques.
Lisez également impérativement le mode d’emploi des moyens de
butée textiles. Le mode d’emploi des bandeaux de levage et des
élingues contient des informations complémentaires importantes,
qui sont essentielles pour garantir un processus de levage en toute
sécurité. Le moyen de butée textile doit reposer entièrement à plat
dans le crochet de fixation Joker et ne doit pas être écrasé, afin que la
capacité nominale de charge du moyen de butée soit garantie.
Les crochets de fixation Joker sont fabriqués en acier de catégorie 8.
Les crochets de fixation Joker peuvent être utilisés sans risque
dans une plage de température de - 40°C à + 200 °C. En association
avec des moyens d’accrochage textiles, la plus faible température
d’utilisation de ces derniers (par ex. PES max. 100 C°) limite le champ
d’application.
