branche , witch off and di connect the
machine from the main ocket before
inve tigating and rectifying the cau e of
the jam. Take pecial care when witching
the machine on again.
5. Check the flex and all connection for

u e a faulty flex.
6. Keep the flex away from the cutting area.
7. Do not u e the trimmer in wet weather
and do not u e it to cut wet hedge .

11.After witching off the hedge trimmer
and before carrying out any cleaning,
en ure that the motor cannot be
witched on inadvertently by engaging
the witch lock. In any ca e, di connect
plug from main ocket.
12. Check the cutting unit regularly for damage
and if damage i di covered, the cutting
unit hould be properly repaired.

and en ure that you have ufficient
working pace. There hould be no
people, animal or object within the
working area. Select the cutting height
o that the blade doe not make contact
with the ground and you can operate the
equipment from a ecure po ition.
18. Take care when tran porting the equipment
(only with blade cover!).
19. For initial u e of the hedge trimmer we
would recommend that in addition to reading
the operating in truction , you al o eek a
practical demon tration from an expert.
20.Alway en ure that all protective device
and handle are properly fitted. Never
attempt to u e an incomplete machine.
21. The u e of the hedgetrimmer i to be
avoided if other per on , above all children,
are within the working area.
22.Familiarize your elf with the working area
and pay attention to po ible danger
which you might not be able to hear due to
the noi e of the machine.
5. Before U e
Safety Guard (Fig. 1)
Fit the enclosed safety guard in the slot on the
hedgetrimmer. The safety shield prevents
touching the blades during operation. Hold tool
with both hands!
Power connection
The machine can only be connected to a single-
phase a.c. current connection. The machine is
protectively insulated in accordance with classi-
fication II of VDE 0740 and can therefore be connected
to sockets without earth connections. Before using
the machine ensure that the mains current agrees
with the operating voltage data on the machine’s
identification plate.
