The locking casters are located at the front of the bench.
To lock the casters, use your foot to push the caster lock (A) down (Figure 2).
To unlock the casters, use your foot to pull the caster lock up.

2. Pull the strap (A) on the front of the recliner to slide out the extension frame (B) (Figure 3).
3. Pull the strap up and out to raise the ottoman cushion (C) to its upright position.
4. Reverse steps to store away.

Remove product from service before you perform the preventive maintenance inspection. Check all items listed during
annual preventive maintenance for all Stryker Medical products. You may need to perform preventive maintenance checks
more often based on your level of product usage. Service only by qualified personnel.
Inspect the following items:
All fasteners are secure
All casters are secure
All casters roll and swivel freely
Front casters lock
No debris in casters
Back, arms, seat, and foot section are not damaged
Foot and seat sections slide out and stop freely

Stryker’s preferred wipes (2060-000-001 6'' x 10'' or 2060-000-002 9'' x 12'') include the following active ingredients:
• n-Alkyl (60% C14, 30% C16, 5% C12, 5% C18) dimethyl benzyl ammonium chloride - 0.154%
• n-Alkyl (68% C12, 32% C14) dimethyl ethylbenzyl ammonium chloride - 0.154%
• Isopropanol - 21.000%
Non-active ingredient: Ethylene Glycol Monobutyl Ether – < 3%
NNoottee -- For safety information, read the product label.
Follow these steps to clean the external product surface using SSiiddeeKKiicckk wipes. SSiiddeeKKiicckk wipes are not approved to
disinfect your product.
1. Rub with a fresh, clean SSiiddeeKKiicckk wipe to remove all visible soils. Repeat as necessary until the product is clean.
NNoottee -- Use as many wipes as necessary.
2. Allow the external product surface to air dry before you return the product to service.

Recommended cleaners:
• Quaternary solutions (active ingredient – ammonium chloride) that contain less than 3% glycol ether
• Chlorinated bleach solution (1 part bleach solution to 100 parts water, 520 ppm available chlorine solution)
• Isopropyl alcohol (active ingredient ≤ 21%)
Recommended cleaning method:
1. Follow the cleaning solution manufacturer’s dilution recommendations.
2. Hand wash all surfaces of the product with a cleaning solution.
3. Avoid oversaturation. Do not allow the product to stay wet longer than the chemical manufacturer’s guidelines for
cleaning.
4. Dry the product.
5. Verify proper operation before you return the product to service.

1. Pull the recliner away from the wall.
2. Lay a blanket, or equivalent, on the floor behind the recliner.
3. Using two hands, lift up on the bottom of the recliner to flip the recliner onto its back.
CCAAUUTTIIOONN -- Always confirm stable foot placement and back support or get assistance from another person to avoid the
risk of injury or product damage.
4. Using a #3 Phillips screwdriver, remove the four screws that secure the caster to the recliner frame and remove the
caster. Save the screws.
5. Reverse steps to reinstall.
6. Verify proper operation before you return the product to service.

3. Using a #3 Phillips screwdriver, reach through the extension frame to remove the four screws that secure the ottoman
cushion to the extension frame. Save the screws.
4. Remove the ottoman cushion.
5. Reverse steps to reinstall.
6. Verify proper operation before you return the product to service.

(D) to the seat frame. Save the screws.
5. Remove the cushion.
6. Reverse steps to reinstall.

1. Pull the strap (A) on the front of the recliner to slide out the extension frame (B) (Figure 6).
2. Pull the strap up and out to raise the ottoman cushion (C) to its upright position.
3. Pull the strap to slide out the extension frame until it stops.
NNoottee -- The seat cushion should slide out when extended.
4. Using a #3 Phillips screwdriver, reach through the seat frame (F) to remove the two bottom screws (one on each side)
that secure the back cushion hinge mechanism to the recliner frame. Save the screws.
5. Grasp the top of the back cushion (E) and fold forward.
6. Using a #3 Phillips screwdriver, remove the two top screws (one on each side) that secure the back cushion hinge
mechanism to the recliner frame. Save the screws.
7. Remove the back cushion assembly.
8. Reverse steps to reinstall.
NNoottee
• The left and right stampings on the hinges are a directional reference as you look at the front of the chair. The hinges
have two screw holes on each side. Reinstall the screws through the inner holes.
• Use caution when you slide the hinges down to install the new back cushion assembly to avoid the risk of damage to
the fabric.
9. Verify proper operation before you return the product to service.

to the extension frame. Save the screws.
4. Remove the footboard.
5. Reverse steps to reinstall.
6. Verify proper operation before you return the product to service.

• Rubber hammer
• Large flat screwdriver
PPrroocceedduurree::
1. Using a rubber hammer, hit the back of the arm cap (A) toward the front of the recliner until it stops moving forward
(Figure 7).
NNoottee -- Use caution when you hit the arm cap to avoid the risk of damage to the fabric.
2. Position a large flat screwdriver between the arm cap and arm to pull up on the arm cap and loosen the arm cap from
the recliner. Remove and discard the arm cap.
3. Align the new arm cap bolts with the holes at the front of the arm slots.
4. Using a rubber hammer, hit the arm cap down until it is tight to the arm.
5. Using a rubber hammer, hit the arm cap toward the back of the recliner until it stops moving back.
NNoottee -- Use caution when you hit the arm cap to avoid the risk of damage to the fabric.
6. Verify proper operation before you return the product to service.
