1. ВВЕДЕНИЕ
Èñòî÷íèê áåñïåðåáîéíîãî ïèòàíèÿ (ÈÁÏ) ñ òåõíîëîãèåé äâîéíîãî ïðåîáðàçîâàíèÿ On-line – ýòî èäåàëüíîå îáîðóäîâàíèå äëÿ çà-
ùèòû íàèáîëåå ÷óâñòâèòåëüíûõ ïîòðåáèòåëåé (êîìïüþòåðîâ è ïåðèôåðèéíûõ óñòðîéñòâ: ìîíèòîðîâ, äèñêîâûõ ïîäñèñòåì, ìîäå-
ìîâ, ñòðèìåðîâ è ò. ï.).
 ñëó÷àå ñáîåâ ýëåêòðîñíàáæåíèÿ ÈÁÏ ïðîäîëæàåò ïèòàòü ïîäêëþ÷åííîå ê íåìó îáîðóäîâàíèå, èñïîëüçóÿ ýíåðãèþ âíóòðåííèõ
àêêóìóëÿòîðîâ è ïðîèçâîäÿ ïðè ýòîì âèçóàëüíóþ è çâóêîâóþ èíäèêàöèþ, êîòîðàÿ çàáëàãîâðåìåííî ïðåäóïðåäèò Âàñ î íåïîëàä-

2. МЕРЫ БЕЗОПАСНОСТИ

Óñòàíàâëèâàéòå ÈÁÏ â çàêðûòûõ ïîìåùåíèÿõ ñ êîíòðîëèðóåìîé òåìïåðàòóðîé è âëàæíîñòüþ âîçäóõà.
z
Çàìåíÿéòå ïðåäîõðàíèòåëè ïðåäîõðàíèòåëÿìè òîãî æå òèïà è íîìèíàëà.
z
Íå îòêðûâàéòå àêêóìóëÿòîð: âûòåêøèé ýëåêòðîëèò îïàñåí äëÿ êîæè è ãëàç.
z
Îòêëþ÷àéòå ÈÁÏ îò ñåòè ïåðåä ïîäêëþ÷åíèåì êàáåëÿ ê êîìïüþòåðó è øíóðà ïèòàíèÿ ê ñåòè äëÿ óìåíüøåíèÿ ðèñêà ïîðàæåíèÿ
ýëåêòðè÷åñêèì òîêîì.

Îòñîåäèíèòå îò ñåòè øíóð ïèòàíèÿ è âûêëþ÷èòå ÈÁÏ â àâàðèéíîé ñèòóàöèè.
z
Ðîçåòêà äëÿ ïîäêëþ÷åíèÿ äîëæíà íàõîäèòüñÿ âáëèçè îò óñòðîéñòâà è áûòü äîñòóïíîé.
z
ÈÁÏ ñîäåðæèò âíóòðåííèé èñòî÷íèê, èìåþùèé âûñîêîå íàïðÿæåíèå äàæå â îòêëþ÷åííîì îò ñåòè ñîñòîÿíèè.
z
Îáñëóæèâàòü ÈÁÏ è îòêëþ÷àòü âíóòðåííèé èñòî÷íèê ïèòàíèÿ (àêêóìóëÿòîð) äîëæåí òîëüêî êâàëèôèöèðîâàííûé ñïåöèàëèñò.

5. УСЛОВИЯ ЭКСПЛУАТАЦИИ И ХРАНЕНИЯ
Íå ýêñïëóàòèðóéòå ÈÁÏ â ïîìåùåíèÿõ, ãäå òåìïåðàòóðà îêðóæàþùåãî âîçäóõà íå ñîîòâåòñòâóåò ïðèâåäåííîé â ðàçäåëå «Òåõíè-
÷åñêèå õàðàêòåðèñòèêè».
Óñëîâèÿ õðàíåíèÿ
ÈÁÏ äîëæåí õðàíèòüñÿ çàêðûòûì â âåðòèêàëüíîì ïîëîæåíèè â ñóõîì ïðîõëàäíîì ìåñòå ñ ïîëíîñòüþ çàðÿæåííûì àêêóìóëÿòî-
ðîì. Ïåðåä òåì êàê ïîñòàâèòü ÈÁÏ íà õðàíåíèå, çàðÿäèòå åãî â òå÷åíèå 10 ÷àñîâ.
Âî èçáåæàíèå èñòîùåíèÿ àêêóìóëÿòîðà îòêëþ÷èòå êàáåëè, ïîäêëþ÷åííûå ê ïîðòó èíòåðôåéñà êîìïüþòåðà.
Äëèòåëüíîå õðàíåíèå
Ïðè äëèòåëüíîì õðàíåíèè â óñëîâèÿõ òåìïåðàòóðû îêðóæàþùåé ñðåäû îò +15 äî +30 °Ñ àêêóìóëÿòîð ÈÁÏ ñëåäóåò çàðÿæàòü êàæ-
äûå 6 ìåñÿöåâ.

6. 1. Âíåøíèé âèä ëèöåâîé ïàíåëè ìîäåëåé Smart L
aÊíîïêà ÂÊË/ÂÛÊË
Ýòà êíîïêà óïðàâëÿåò âêëþ÷åíèåì è âûêëþ÷åíèåì âûõîäíîãî íàïðÿæåíèÿ ÈÁÏ.
Âêëþ÷åíèå âûõîäíîãî íàïðÿæåíèÿ
Ïðè âêëþ÷åíèè âûõîäíîãî íàïðÿæåíèÿ íàæìèòå êíîïêó ÂÊË/ÂÛÊË íà ïåðåäíåé ïàíåëè. Ïðè ýòîì â òå÷åíèå 4 ñåêóíä ÈÁÏ áóäåò
ïðîèçâîäèòü êîíòðîëü âíóòðåííèõ ñõåì è èçäàâàòü êîðîòêèå çâóêîâûå ñèãíàëû, ïîñëå ÷åãî âûõîäíîå íàïðÿæåíèå áóäåò ïîäàíî
íà âûõîä ÈÁÏ.
Ïîñòîÿííîå ñâå÷åíèå çåëåíîãî ñâåòîäèîäà óêàæåò íà òî, ÷òî ÈÁÏ âîøåë â íîðìàëüíûé ðåæèì ðàáîòû.
Õîëîäíûé ñòàðò
Âêëþ÷åíèå ÈÁÏ îò áàòàðåéíîãî (àâàðèéíîãî) ïèòàíèÿ.
Äëÿ òîãî ÷òîáû âêëþ÷èòü ÈÁÏ áåç èñïîëüçîâàíèÿ ñåòåâîãî èñòî÷íèêà ïèòàíèÿ ïåðåìåííîãî òîêà, íàæìèòå êíîïêó ÂÊË/ÂÛÊË. Ïðè
ýòîì â òå÷åíèå 10 ñåêóíä ÈÁÏ áóäåò ïðîèçâîäèòü êîíòðîëü âíóòðåííèõ ñõåì è èçäàâàòü êîðîòêèå çâóêîâûå ñèãíàëû, ïîñëå ÷åãî
âûõîäíîå íàïðÿæåíèå áóäåò ïîäàíî íà âûõîä ÈÁÏ.
Ïîñòîÿííîå ñâå÷åíèå çåëåíîãî ñâåòîäèîäà óêàæåò íà òî, ÷òî ÈÁÏ âîøåë â íîðìàëüíûé ðåæèì ðàáîòû.
Âûêëþ÷åíèå âûõîäíîãî íàïðÿæåíèÿ
Äëÿ òîãî ÷òîáû âûêëþ÷èòü âûõîäíîå íàïðÿæåíèå, íàæìèòå êíîïêó ÂÊË/ÂÛÊË íà ïåðåäíåé ïàíåëè ïðèáîðà .
bÑâåòîäèîä ÎÒ ÑÅÒÈ (çåëåíûé)
Ïðè ïèòàíèè ÈÁÏ îò ñåòè ýòîò ñâåòîäèîä áóäåò ãîðåòü íåïðåðûâíî.
cÑâåòîäèîä ÍÅÈÑÏÐÀÂÍÎÑÒÜ ÁÀÒÀÐÅÈ (êðàñíûé)
Ýòîò ñâåòîäèîä áóäåò ãîðåòü ïðè ðàáîòå ÈÁÏ â ðåæèìå îò áàòàðåé, à òàêæå ïðè íåèñïðàâíîñòÿõ è ïåðåãðóçêå ÈÁÏ.
dÏåðåêëþ÷àòåëü âûáîðà ðåæèìà LCD-ïàíåëè
Ýòîò ïåðåêëþ÷àòåëü ïîçâîëÿåò ïåðåêëþ÷àòü ðåæèìû îòîáðàæåíèÿ ñòàòóñà è äàííûõ ÈÁÏ.
Ïàíåëü ìîæåò èíäèöèðîâàòü øåñòü ðåæèìîâ ðàáîòû ÈÁÏ, óðîâåíü ïîäêëþ÷åííîé íàãðóçêè, óðîâåíü çàðÿäà áàòàðåé, çíà÷åíèå âõîä-
íîãî è âûõîäíîãî íàïðÿæåíèé è âõîäíîé — âûõîäíîé ÷àñòîòû.

Òèï âõîäíîãî ðàçúåìà IEC 320 (âèëêà) äëÿ ìîäåëåé Smart L 1000 è Smart L 2000.
Êëåììû ïîä âèíòîâîå ñîåäèíåíèå äëÿ ìîäåëè Smart L 3000.
Èñïîëüçóéòå âõîäíîé ñåòåâîé øíóð, ÷òîáû ñîåäèíèòü ÈÁÏ ñ ñåòüþ ýëåêòðîñíàáæåíèÿ.
Ïðèìå÷àíèå. ÈÁÏ òðåáóåò ñîáëþäåíèÿ ïðàâèë ôàçèðîâêè ïðè ïîäêëþ÷åíèè ê ïèòàþùåé ñåòè.
bÄåðæàòåëü ïðåäîõðàíèòåëÿ (äëÿ ìîäåëåé Power Smart L 1000 è Power Smart L 2000) ñîäåðæèò ïðåäîõðàíèòåëü, çàùèùàþ-
ùèé îò ïåðåãðóçêè ïî òîêó îò ïèòàþùåé ñåòè.
cÂõîäíîé àâòîìàòè÷åñêèé ïðåäîõðàíèòåëü (äëÿ ìîäåëè Power Smart L3000) ñîäåðæèò ïðåäîõðàíèòåëü, çàùèùàþùèé îò ïå-
ðåãðóçêè ïî òîêó îò ïèòàþùåé ñåòè.
dÂûõîäíûå ðàçúåìû
Òèï âûõîäíûõ ðàçúåìîâ IEC 320 (ðîçåòêà). Èñïîëüçóéòå âûõîäíîé ñåòåâîé øíóð äëÿ ïîäêëþ÷åíèÿ Âàøåãî îáîðóäîâàíèÿ ê ÈÁÏ.
eÂåíòèëÿòîðû îõëàæäåíèÿ ïðåäîòâðàùàþò ïåðåãðåâ îò ðàáîòàþùèõ òåïëîâûäåëÿþùèõ ýëåìåíòîâ âíóòðåííåé ñõåìû ÈÁÏ.
fÐàçúåì ïîäêëþ÷åíèÿ âíåøíèõ áàòàðåé (îïöèîíàëüíî) ïðåäíàçíà÷åí äëÿ ñîåäèíåíèÿ ÈÁÏ ñ áëîêîì âíåøíèõ áàòàðåé (äëÿ
óâåëè÷åíèÿ âðåìåíè ðàáîòû â àâòîíîìíîì ðåæèìå).
gÈíòåðôåéñíûé ðàçúåì DB9
Ðàçúåì DB9 ïîçâîëÿåò ñîåäèíèòü ÈÁÏ ñ ïîðòîì RS-232 Âàøåãî êîìïüþòåðà èíòåðôåéñíûì êàáåëåì (èç êîìïëåêòà ïîñòàâêè). Èñ-
ïîëüçîâàíèå ïðîãðàììíîãî îáåñïå÷åíèÿ «Upsilon 2000» àâòîìàòè÷åñêè ñîõðàíÿåò ôàéëû è îòêëþ÷àåò êîìïüþòåð ïðè äëèòåëüíîì
îòñóòñòâèè ïèòàíèÿ.
Ïðèìå÷àíèå. Ýòî ñîåäèíåíèå íå ÿâëÿåòñÿ îáÿçàòåëüíûì äëÿ ðàáîòû ÈÁÏ.

7. УСТАНОВКА И ПОДКЛЮЧЕНИЕ ИБП
7.1. Ïîäêëþ÷åíèå
Ñåòåâîé êàáåëü êîìïüþòåðíîãî îáîðóäîâàíèÿ ïåðåñòàâüòå âî âõîäíîé ðàçúåì ÈÁÏ, à îñâîáîäèâøèéñÿ âõîäíîé ðàçúåì êîìïüþ-
òåðíîãî îáîðóäîâàíèÿ ïîäêëþ÷èòå ê îäíîé èç âûõîäíûõ ðîçåòîê ÈÁÏ ñåòåâûì øíóðîì èç êîìïëåêòà ïîñòàâêè.
Ïîäêëþ÷àéòå ÈÁÏ òîëüêî ê äâóõïîëþñíîé, ñ òðåòüèì çàçåìëÿþùèì ïðîâîäîì, ðîçåòêå. Êðàéíå íåæåëàòåëüíî èñïîëüçîâàòü óä-
ëèíèòåëè è ïåðåõîäíèêè. Êàáåëü ïèòàíèÿ îò èñòî÷íèêà ê ðîçåòêå íå äîëæåí ïðåâûøàòü äåñÿòè ìåòðîâ.
Ïðèìå÷àíèå. Ìîäåëü ÈÁÏ Smart L 3000 ìîæåò èìåòü âõîäíûå êëåììû ïîä âèíòîâîå ñîåäèíåíèå äëÿ ïîäêëþ÷åíèÿ ê ñåòè. Ïåðåä
ïîäêëþ÷åíèåì ÈÁÏ ê ñåòè ïîäñîåäèíèòå ïèòàþùèé êàáåëü ê âõîäíûì êëåììàì ÈÁÏ ñ ñîáëþäåíèåì ïðàâèë ôàçèðîâêè.
Ïðè ïîäêëþ÷åíèè ÈÁÏ ê ïèòàþùåé ðîçåòêå âõîäíîå íàïðÿæåíèå ñåòè íà÷èíàåò ïèòàòü åãî âíóòðåííþþ ñõåìó. Ïðè ýòîì çàãîðàþòñÿ
èíäèêàòîðû íà ëèöåâîé ïàíåëè ÈÁÏ: ìèãàåò çåëåíûé ñâåòîäèîä è ïîñòîÿííî ñâåòèòñÿ LCD-ïàíåëü.
Ïðèìå÷àíèå. Ìîäåëü ÈÁÏ Smart L 3000 èìååò ñîâìåùåííûé ñ âõîäíûì àâòîìàòè÷åñêèì ïðåäîõðàíèòåëåì âûêëþ÷àòåëü íà çàäíåé
ïàíåëè.
7.2. Ïîäçàðÿäêà àêêóìóëÿòîðíîé áàòàðåè
ÈÁÏ ïîñòàâëÿåòñÿ ñ ïîëíîñòüþ çàðÿæåííûìè âíóòðåííèìè àêêóìóëÿòîðàìè. Îäíàêî àêêóìóëÿòîðû ìîãóò ïîòåðÿòü ÷àñòü çàðÿäà
âî âðåìÿ òðàíñïîðòèðîâêè è ïðè õðàíåíèè, ïîýòîìó, âêëþ÷èâ ÈÁÏ, ïðîâåäèòå ïîäçàðÿäêó àêêóìóëÿòîðîâ â òå÷åíèå 8 ÷àñîâ.
7.3. Ïîäêëþ÷åíèå îáîðóäîâàíèÿ ê ÈÁÏ
Äëÿ òîãî ÷òîáû áûòü óâåðåííûì, ÷òî êîìïüþòåðíîå îáîðóäîâàíèå áóäåò çàùèùåíî ïðè îòêëþ÷åíèè è îæèäàåìîå âðåìÿ àâòîíîì-
íîé ðàáîòû îáåñïå÷åíî, íåîáõîäèìî îöåíèòü ñóììàðíóþ ìîùíîñòü ïîäêëþ÷åííîãî ê ÈÁÏ îáîðóäîâàíèÿ. Òðåáóåìàÿ ñóììàðíàÿ
ìîùíîñòü äîëæíà áûòü ìåíüøå èëè ðàâíÿòüñÿ íàãðóçî÷íîé ñïîñîáíîñòè ÈÁÏ, â ïðîòèâíîì ñëó÷àå ÈÁÏ áóäåò èçäàâàòü çâóêîâûå

1. INTRODUCTION
The On-Line uninterruptible power supply (UPS) protects your sensitive electronic equipment from basic power problems such as power
failures, power sags, power surges, brownouts, line noise, and frequency variation, switching transient and harmonic distortion.
Power outages can occur when you least expect it and power quality can be erratic. These power problems have the potential to corrupt
critical data, destroy unsaved work sessions, and damage hardware – causing hours of lost productivity and expensive repairs. This UPS
is using the most advanced PWM technology, with the On-Line UPS, you can safely eliminate the effects of power disturbances and guard
the integrity of your equipment.
2. SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Inspection the Equipment
If any equipment has been damaged during shipment, keep the shipping cartons and packing materials for the carrier or place of purchase
and file a claim for shipping damage. If you discover damage after acceptance, file a claim for concealed damage.
To file a claim for shipping damage or concealed damage: 1) File with the carrier within 15 days of receipt of the equipment; 2) Send a copy
of the damage claim within 15 days to your service representative.
Precaution
Read the following precaution before you install the UPS.
SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIN. This manual contains important instructions that you should follow during installation and maintenance of the
UPS and batteries. Please read all instructions before operating the equipment and save this manual for further reference.
FOR THIS FIRST TIME USE, YOUR UPS SHOULD BE PLUGGED IN (THE POWER I/O SWITCH DOES NOT HAVE TO BE ON) FOR
AT LEAST 10 HOURS TO FULLY CHARGE THE BATTERY.

The batteries used by this uninterruptible power system are recyclable. Proper disposal of the batteries is required. The batteries con-
tain lead and pose a hazard to the environment and human health if not disposed of properly. Please refer to local codes for proper dis-
posal requirement or return the unit to a factory authorized service center for battery replacement or disposal.

Intended for installation in a controlled environment. Refer to manual for environmental conditions.

When replacing batteries, use the same number and type of batteries.

Servicing of Battery Bank Connection should be performed by service personnel knowledgeable of batteries and the required precau-
tions. Keep unauthorized personnel away from batteries.

A battery can present risk of electric shock and high short circuit current. The following precautions should be observed when working
on batteries.

Remove watches, rings, or other metal object.
z
Use tools with insulated handles.
z
Wear rubber gloves and boots.
z
Do not lay tools or metal parts on the top of batteries.

Disconnect charging source prior to connecting or disconnecting battery terminals.
z
Risk of electric shock. Battery circuit is not isolated from AC input; hazardous voltage may exist between terminals and ground. Test
before touching.

Do not attempt to power the UPS from any receptacle except a 2-pole 3-wire grounded receptacle.
z
Do not place the UPS near water or in environments of excessive humidity.
z
Do not allow liquid or any foreign objects to get inside the UPS.
z
Do not block air vents in front of the UPS or air exhausts on the back.
z
Do not place the UPS under direct sunshine or close to heat-emitting sources.

Do not plug appliances such as hair dryers into the UPS receptacles.

Do not disassemble the UPS.

The power socket should be installed near the equipment. It should be easily accessible to isolate it from AC input. To disconnect, pull
the plug from the receptacle.

5. SERVICE AND STORAGE
Cleaning
Before cleaning, turn off the switch of the UPS. Unplug the UPS from the power outlet. Also unplug the battery cable for the long back up
time model.
Clean all surfaces with a soft, lint-free cloth that you have dampened in a mild solution of detergent and water. The cloth must not be too
wet.
Warning Never spill water or cleaning fluid inside the unit. Should this happen accidentally, call your maintenance authority immediately.
Do not use scouring pads, steel wool, harsh chemical agents, or anything that can damage the surface of the unit.
Storage
If you plan to store the UPS, there is a risk that the battery might discharge to the point where is permanently discharged. To prevent this
from happening, follow these steps before storing the UPS:
a. Fully charge the battery before storing the UPS.
b. Recharge the battery for 24 hours at intervals not greater that 3 months.

6.1. Front Panel
aMain Switch
Turn on or off the UPS by depress this switch.
bOn-Line LED
The green LED is on when the output power is normal.
cAlarm LED
This red LED is on when the UPS power is in a fault condition.
dLCD Panel Switch
Each press of the switch will lead to a UPS status and data. The LCD can indicate that the UPS is Normal Mode, Battery Mode, Bypass
Mode, Internal Fault, Charge, Overload, Load Capacity, Battery Capacity and show each data.

This socket is for the power cable of the UPS connected to the AC utility.
bFuse Holder
Contain the fuse of the UPS to protect the over current from the incoming AC utility.

The circuit breaker is protecting the over current from the incoming AC utility.
dPower Output Sockets
These sockets are for the power cables of the devices connected to the UPS.
eCooling Fan
The Fan is to prevent the UPS to overheat.
fBattery Socket
This socket is for the external battery cable of the battery bank connected to the UPS.
gInterface Socket
This socket combines contact closure signals and RS232 signals on one DB9 connector.

7. INSTALLATION
1). Selecting a Site
The UPS is a free standing unit and intended to be installed in a controlled environment. Ensure that air flow through the openings is not
hindered or obstructed. Obstructing the free flow of air could cause the UPS to overheat.
2). Connecting the UPS to a Battery Bank (for long back up time model only)
Verify the polarity of the external battery cable is correct, screw the external battery cable to the terminal on the battery bank and insert
this cable to the battery socket on the UPS.
3). Connect the UPS to AC Power outlet
The UPS should be installed and operated in accordance with the electrical codes for the area in which it is installed and operated.
Ensure that the voltage and frequency of the input AC power are correct for the UPS, and that the combined loads do not exceed the total
power rating for the UPS.
Note Please charge the battery at least 10 hours before you connect this UPS to your equipment.
4). Connect the Loads and Equipments to the UPS
Verify that the total power consumption specifications of the load do not exceed the rating of the UPS.
Plug the loads into any of the UPS output receptacles and turn on the loads. The UPS is now providing continuous protected AC power to
the loads or equipments.
5). Testing Operation
Follow the steps below to check if the UPS is working properly.
a. Verify the battery has been fully charged.
b. Disconnect the UPS from the power outlet. Do not turn of the switch of the computer and the UPS.
c. Check the following:
The LCD display shows the UPS is battery mode.
The alarm should sound for every 4 seconds.
d. If the computer system continues to run normally fro about 5 minutes, the UPS is working properly.
If an overload occurs with only the system unit and either a modem or a monitor connected, contact your maintenance authority.
6). Powering Down the loads and UPS
Follow these steps to turn off the power of the UPS:
b. Turn off the power to loads connected to the UPS. Refer to the operating instructions for each load.
c. Turn of the UPS.
