1 Introduction
Please read the safety instructions before com-
missioning. Further information can be found on
the Swissphone website at:

1.1 Safety Instructions
• This product must not be used in a potentially
explosive environment, such as an area designated as
an ATEX Zone, or similar.
• Keep the SOS-Beacon out of the reach of children.
• The labels must not be removed.
• The battery should not be changed under static
charge (ESD protected environment
• The battery monitoring is carried out via the
SOS-Portal.
• The battery protection strip must be removed before
commissioning.

1.4 Declaration of conformity
The device complies with the European Radio Directive
RED 2014 / 53 / EU (Radio Equipment Directive). You can
request a copy of the declaration of conformity at
info@swissphone.com.
1.5 Disposal
The operator is obliged to comply with local laws regarding
equipment and battery disposal. This applies in particular
to the decommissioning of the device as well as to battery
replacement.
2 Installation and maintenance
2.1 Assembly
Loosen the SOS-Beacon from the base by turning it
1/8 turn counterclockwise. Tighten the base by means of
1-2 screws, there are 4 prepared holes in the base.
Then place the SOS-Beacon on the base and fix it by
turning it 1/8 turn clockwise.

2.2 Inserting the battery and
changing the battery
Lift up the lid of the beacon, on one side there is a bar to
help hold the base plate.
Remove the battery or place the new and full battery in the
bottom of the SOS-Beacon housing with the negative pole
facing up.
Gently press the cover onto the SOS-Beacon until it clicks
into place.
