2.Beforeusingthebatterycharger,readalltheinstructionsand
cautionarymarkingsonthebatterycharger,batterypack,and
productusingthebatterypack.
3.CAUTION—Toreduceriskofinjury,chargeT oro60Vlithium-ion
batterypackswithToro60Vlithium-ionbatterychargersonly.Other
brandsofbatterypacksmayburst,causingpersonalinjuryand
damage.
4.WARNING—Pluggingthebatterychargerintoanoutletthatisnot
220to240Vcancauseareorelectricshock.Donotplugthe
batterychargerintoanoutletotherthan220to240V.Foradifferent
styleofconnection,useanattachmentplugadapteroftheproper
congurationforthepoweroutletifneeded.
I.Training
1.Donotallowchildrenoruntrainedpeopletooperateorservicethis
device.Allowonlypeoplewhoareresponsible,trained,familiarwith
theinstructions,andphysicallycapabletooperateorservicethe
device.
2.Donotallowchildrentouseorplaywiththebatterypackorbattery
charger;localregulationsmayrestricttheageoftheoperator.
II.Preparation
1.Useappliancesonlywithspecicallydesignatedbatterypacks.
Usingothertypesofbatterypacksmaycreateariskofinjuryand/or
re.
2.Donotuseadamagedormodiedbatterypackorbatterycharger.
Itmayexhibitunpredictablebehavior,resultinginre,explosion,
orriskofinjury.
3.Ifthesupplycordtothebatterychargerisdamaged,contactan
AuthorizedServiceDealertoreplaceit.
III.Operation
1.Chargethebatterypackwithonlythebatterychargerspeciedby
Toro.Achargersuitablefor1typeofbatterypackmaycreatearisk
ofrewhenusedwithanotherbatterypack.

2.Chargethebatterypackinawell-ventilatedareaonly.
3.Followallcharginginstructionsanddonotchargethebatterypack
outsideofthetemperaturerangespeciedintheinstructions.
Otherwise,youmaydamagethebatterypackandincreasetherisk
ofre.
4.Underabusiveconditions,thebatterypackmayejectliquid;avoid
contact.Ifyouaccidentlycomeintocontactwiththeliquid,ushwith
water.Iftheliquidcontactsyoureyes,seekmedicalhelp.Liquid
ejectedfromthebatterypackmaycauseirritationorburns.
5.Donotexposeabatterypackortooltoreorexcessivetemperature.
Exposuretoreortemperatureabove130°C(265°F)maycause
explosion.
6.CAUTION—Amistreatedbatterypackmaypresentariskofre,
explosion,orchemicalburn.
•Donotdisassemblethebatterypack.
•ReplacethebatterypackwithagenuineTorobatterypackonly;
usinganothertypeofbatterypackmaycauseareorriskof
injury.
•Keepbatterypacksoutofthereachofchildrenandintheoriginal
packaginguntilyouarereadytousethem.
IV.MaintenanceandStorage
1.Donotallowchildrentocleanormaintainthebatterycharger.
2.Whenthebatterypackisnotinuse,keepitawayfrommetalobjects
suchaspaperclips,coins,keys,nails,andscrewsthatcanmakea
connectionfrom1terminaltoanother.Shortingthebatteryterminals
maycauseburnsorare.
3.Donotattempttorepairthebatterypackorbatterycharger.Have
anAuthorizedServiceDealerperformserviceonthebatterypack
orbatterychargerusingidenticalreplacementpartstoensurethat
theproductissafelymaintained.
4.Checkwithlocalcodesforpossiblespecialbatterydisposal
instructions.
