themachinewhilewearingsandals,tennisshoes,
orsneakers.Donotwearloosettingclothingor
jewelrywhichcouldgetcaughtinmovingparts
andcausepersonalinjury.
•Wearingsafetyglasses,safetyshoes,longpants,
andahelmetisadvisableandrequiredbysome
localsafetyandinsuranceregulations.
•Avoiddrivingwhenitisdark,especiallyin
unfamiliarareas.Ifyoumustdrivewhenitisdark,
besuretodrivecautiously,usetheheadlights,and
evenconsideraddingadditionallights.
•Beextremelycarefulwhenoperatingaround
people.Alwaysbeawareofwherebystanders
mightbeandkeepthemawayfromtheworkarea.
•Beforeoperatingthesprayer,alwayscheckthe
designatedareasofthesprayerthatarestatedin
thePre-StartingChecksintheOperationsection.
Ifthemachinedoesnotfunctioncorrectlyoris
damagedinanyway,donotusethesprayer.
Makesurethattheproblemiscorrectedbeforethe
sprayerorattachmentisoperated.
•Ensurethatalluidlineconnectorsaretightand
allhosesareingoodconditionbeforeapplying
pressuretothesystem.
•Sincegasolineishighlyammable,handleit
carefully.

–Donotsmokewhilehandlinggasoline.
–Fillthefueltankoutdoors,andllittoabout
1inch(25mm)belowthetopofthetank(the
bottomofthellerneck).Donotoverllit.
–Wipeupanyspilledgasoline.
WhileOperating
WARNING
Engineexhaustcontainscarbonmonoxide,
whichisanodorless,deadlypoisonthatcan
killyou.
Donotrunengineindoorsorinanenclosed
area.
•Theoperatorshouldremainseatedwhenever
thesprayerisinmotion.Theoperatorshould
keepbothhandsonthesteeringwheelwhenever
possible.Keepyourarmsandlegswithinthe
sprayerbodyatalltimes.
•Failuretooperatethesprayersafelymayresultin
anaccident,tipoverofthesprayer,andserious
injuryordeath.Drivecarefully.T opreventtipping
orlossofcontrol:
–Useextremecaution,reducespeed,and
maintainasafedistancearoundsandtraps,
ditches,creeks,ramps,unfamiliarareas,or
anyareasthathaveabruptchangesinground
conditionsorelevation.
–Watchforholesorotherhiddenhazards.
–Useextracautionwhenoperatingthesprayer
onwetsurfaces,inadverseweatherconditions,
athigherspeeds,orwithafullload.Stopping
timeanddistancewillincreasewithafullload.
–Avoidsuddenstopsandstarts.Donotgo
fromreversetoforwardorforwardtoreverse
withoutrstcomingtoacompletestop.
–Slowdownbeforeturning.Donotattempt
sharpturnsorabruptmaneuversorother
unsafedrivingactionsthatmaycausealoss
ofsprayercontrol.
