Procedure
1.Unlatchandraisethehood.Usetheproprodto
holditinplace.Locatetheupper(rear)metalframe
supportrunningacrosstheundersideofthehood.
2.Intheupper,leftcornerofthemetalframe,locate
theholedrilledinthefaceofthesupport.Usea
drilltoopentheholetoaccepta5/16inch(8mm)
fastener.
3.InstallthelatchlocatorbracketasshowninFigure1
usingabolt(5/16x3/4inch)andlocknut(5/16
inch).
4.Useapenciltomarkthehoodatthecenterholeon
thepunch-outofthelatchlocatorbracket.Remove
thelatchlocatorbracket.
5.Pilotdrillaholeintheplastichoodatthemarked
spotandthenexpandtheholetoadiameterof1
inch.
6.Removethepunch-outfromthelatchlocator.Install
thelatchlocatorbrackettotheframeasinStep3
usingthebolt(5/16x3/4inch)andlocknut(5/16
inch).
7.Removethelockingnutfromthelatchassembly.
8.Installthelockinglatchthroughtheholedrilledin
thehoodandthepunchedoutholeinthelatch
locatorbracketwiththecatchfacingtheforward.
9.Installthelockingnutontothebottomofthelatch
tosecureitinplace.

1.Locatethehoodsupportrailontheinsideofthe
leftsideofthehood.

2.Measureup,fromthesupportedge,alongtherail
1-1/2inches(3.8cm)(Figure4).Installtheclamp
aroundtherailatthislocation.
3.Usingtheclampasatemplate,markaspotinthe
hoodanddrilla5/16inch(8mm)diameterhole.
4.Installawasher(5/16inch)andplastitescrew(1/4x
1.12inch)throughtheclampanddrilledholeinthe
hoodandintothehoodhandle.
5.Withthehoodhandleintheapproximateposition
showninFigure4markthesecondspottodrill4.8
inches(12.2cm)fromtheinitialdrilledhole.Swing
thehoodhandleoutofpositionanddrilla0.3125
inchdiameterholeatthatpositioninthehood.
6.Installawasherontotheotherplastitescrew(1/4x
1.12inch)andthroughthehood.Securethehandle
tothehoodbytighteningplastitescrews.

Installeachdecalasfollows:
1.Thoroughlycleantheareawhereyouwillinstallthe
decal.
2.Dampentheareawithwaterormildlysoapywater.
3.Peelthedecalfromthebackingandinstallitinplace.
4.Squeegeeacrossthesurfaceofthedecal,starting
atthecenterofthedecalandworkingtowardthe
edges,usingoverlappingstrokes.
