II.Preparation
1.Keepbystandersandchildrenawayfromthe
operatingarea.
2.UseonlythebatterypackspeciedbyToro.
Usingotheraccessoriesandattachmentsmay
increasetheriskofinjuryandre.
3.Pluggingthebatterychargerintoanoutletthatis
not120Vcancauseareorelectricshock.Do
notplugthebatterychargerintoanoutletother
than120V.Foradifferentstyleofconnection,
useanattachmentplugadapteroftheproper
congurationforthepoweroutletifneeded.
4.Donotuseadamagedormodiedbackpack,
batterypack,orbatterycharger,whichmay

III.Operation
1.Avoiddangerousenvironments—Donotusethe
toolinrainorindamporwetlocations.
2.Usethepropertoolforyourapplication—Using
thebackpackorattachedtoolforpurposesother
thantheirintendedusecouldprovedangerous
toyouandbystanders.
3.Preventunintentionalstarting—Ensurethatthe
switchisintheOFFpositionbeforeconnectingto
thebackpackandhandlingthetool.Donotcarry
thetoolwithyourngerontheswitchorenergize
thetoolwiththeswitchintheONposition.
4.Operatethebackpackandattachedtoolonlyin
daylightorgoodarticiallight.
5.Removethebatterypackfromthebackpack
anddisconnectthetoolbeforeadjustingitor
changingaccessories.
6.Shutoffthetool,removethebatterypackfrom
thebackpack,andwaitforallmovementtostop
beforeadjusting,servicing,cleaning,orstoring
thetoolorbackpack.
7.Removeanybatterypack(s)fromthebackpack
wheneveryouleaveitunattended.
8.Donotforcethepowertool.Usethecorrect
powertoolforyourapplication.Thecorrect
powertoolwilldothejobbetterandsaferatthe
rateforwhichitwasdesigned.
9.Donotoverreach—Keepproperfootingand
balanceatalltimes,especiallyonslopes.Walk,
neverrunwiththebackpack.
10.Stayalert—Watchwhatyouaredoinganduse

2.Whenthebatterypackisnotinuse,keepit
awayfrommetalobjectssuchaspaperclips,
coins,keys,nails,andscrewsthatcanmakea
connectionfrom1terminaltoanother.Shorting
thebatteryterminalsmaycauseburnsorare.
3.Keepyourhandsandfeetawayfrommoving
parts.
4.Shutoffthetool,removethebatterypackfrom
thebackpack,andwaitforallmovementtostop
beforeadjusting,servicing,cleaning,orstoring
thebackpackortool.
5.Checkthebackpackfordamagedparts—Ifthere
aredamagedguardsorotherparts,determine
whetheritwilloperateproperly.Checkfor
misalignedandbindingmovingparts,broken
parts,mounting,andanyotherconditionthat
mayaffectitsoperation.Unlessindicatedinthe

previstospodríaserpeligrosoparaustedypara
otraspersonas.
3.Eviteelencendidoaccidental–Asegúrese
dequeelinterruptorestáenlaposición
deDESCONECTADOantesdeconectarla
herramientaalamochilaymanejarla
herramienta.Notransportelaherramientacon
eldedosobreelinterruptor;noenergicela
herramientaconelinterruptorenlaposiciónde
ENCENDIDO.
4.Utilicelamochilaylaherramientaconectada
únicamenteconluznaturaloconunabuena
iluminaciónarticial.
5.Retirelabateríadelamochilaydesconectela
herramientaantesdeajustarlaocambiarde
accesorio.
6.Apaguelaherramienta,retirelabateríade
lamochilayespereaquesedetengatodo
movimientoantesdeajustar,revisar,limpiaro
almacenarlaherramientaolamochila.
7.Retirecualquierbateríadelamochilaantesde
dejarlamochiladesatendida.
8.Nofuercelaherramientaeléctrica.Utilicela
herramientaeléctricaadecuadaparaeltrabajo
arealizar.Laherramientaeléctricacorrecta
realizaráeltrabajomejoryconmayorseguridad
alavelocidadparalaquefuediseñada.
9.Nointentealcanzarzonasdemasiadoalejadas
–pisermeymantengaelequilibrioentodo
momento,sobretodoenpendientes.Camine,
nocorranuncaconlamochila.
10.Manténgasealerta—Estéatentoaloqueestá
haciendoyutiliceelsentidocomúnmientras
trabajeconlamochila.Noutilicelamochilasi
estáenfermo,cansado,obajolainuenciade
alcoholodrogas.
11.Asegúresedequelosoriciosdeventilación
estánlibresderesiduos.
12.Encondicionesabusivas,labateríapuede
expulsarlíquido;eviteelcontacto.Encasode
uncontactoaccidentalconellíquido,enjuague
conagua.Siellíquidoentraencontactocon
susojos,busqueayudamédica.Ellíquido
expulsadodelabateríapuedecausarirritación
oquemaduras.
13.Noexpongalabateríaoelcargadoralfuegooa
temperaturasexcesivas.Laexposiciónalfuego
oatemperaturassuperioresalos130°C(265
°F)puedecausarunaexplosión.
14.CUIDADO–unabateríamaltratadapuede
representarunriesgodeincendio,explosióno
quemaduraquímica.

IV.Mantenimientoyalmacenamiento
1.Nodescuideelmantenimientodelamochila
–Manténgalasiemprelimpiayenbuenas
condicionesdeusoparaobtenerelmejor
rendimientoyparareducirelriesgodelesiones.
Sigalasinstruccionesallubricarycambiarde
accesorio.Mantengalasempuñadurassecas,
limpiasylibresdeaceiteygrasa.
2.Cuandolabateríanoseestáutilizando,
manténgalaalejadadeobjetosmetálicoscomo
clips,monedas,llaves,clavosytornillosque
pudieranhacerunaconexiónentreunterminal
yotro.Uncortocircuitoentrelosterminales
delabateríapuedecausarquemadurasoun
incendio.
