When switching on the appliance for the first time, allow it to run at full
power for about two hours to get rid of the unpleasant smell. Make sure
that the room in which the appliance is located is well ventilated during this
operation. It is normal for the appliance to emit small cracking sounds when
you turn it on if the first time.

and whenever the heater is eft operating unattended.

5. Do not operate any heater with a damaged cord or p ug or after the heater
ma functions, has been dropped or damaged in any manner. Return the heater to an
authorized service faci ity for examination, e ectrica or mechanica adjustment or
repair.
6. Do not use outdoors.
7.This heater is not intended for use in any area where there is standing water. Never
ocate heater where it may fa into a bathtub or other water container.
8. Do not run cord under carpeting. Do not cover cord with throw rugs, runners or
simi ar items.
Do not route cord under furniture or appliances. Arrange cord away from
high traffic areas where it wi not be tripped over.
9. To disconnect the heater, turn contro s to OFF, then remove the p ug from the
out et.
10. Connect to proper y po arized out ets on y.
11. Do not insert or a ow foreign objects to enter any venti ation or exhaust opening as
this may cause e ectric shock, fire or damage to the heater.
12. To prevent possib e fire, do not b ock air intakes or exhaust in any manner. Do not
use on soft surfaces ike a bed, where openings may become b ocked.
13. A heater has hot, arcing or sparking pads inside. Do not use it in areas where
gaso ine, paint or f ammab e iquids are used or stored.
14. Use this heater on y as described in this manua . Any other use not recommended by
the manufacturer may cause fire, e ectric shock, injury to persons or other damage to
property.
15. To prevent over oad and b own fuses, be sure that no other app iance is p ugged into
the same out et or into another out et wired into the same circuit.
16. It is norma for the heater’s p ug and cord to fee warm to the touch. A p ug or cord
which becomes hot to the touch or becomes distorted in shape may be a resu t of a
