Lifejacket with Hammar inflator
1. Place the lifejacket flat on a clean
surface.
2. Attach the LIFT webbing on the loop
material on the buoyancy chamber and
fold up the bottom
right side.
3. Fold the cover in along the hook.
4. Fold the other side of the cover over
and close it along the hook/loop
closure.
The release line/handle must protrude
from the bottom of the cover.
5. Fold up the bottom of the left side.
6. Fold the cover in along the hook.
7. Fold the other side of the cover over
and close it along the hook/loop
closure.
8. If the lifejacket is equipped with a
sprayhood, the sprayhood is folded
three times.
9. Fold the neck like a fan with the
welding visible. Place the sprayhood
into the neckfolds.
Make sure the welding on the neck is
still visible.
10. Close the cover in the middle.
11. Fold in the corners. The welding must
be visible.
12. Close the cover completely.
Important: The release line/handle must be
visible outside the cover.
4.4 REPLACEMENT OF CO2 CYLINDER –
HALKEY ROBERTS
Automatic inflator (Fig. 4.4)
After use in fresh water dry the lifejacket.
If the lifejacket has been used in salt water,
it must be rinsed with fresh water and then
dried. Empty the lifejacket of air using the
oral inflation valve.
a. Unscrew the automatic holder (8) and
throw away the bobbing (7). Rinse the
holder carefully in fresh water and dry
it carefully.
b. Unscrew and throw away the used CO2
cylinder.
c. Place a new bobbing (7) in the release
mechanism. Screw the automatic holder
onto the inflator.
d. The green indicator must be visible on
the back.
e. If the release arm (3) has been pulled
out, press it back into position and
place the indicator clip (4) over the
release arm.
f. Gasket (2) under the CO2cylinder must
be removed and discarded. Insert a new
gasket in the inflator (5). Place it right
at the bottom of the inflator.
g. Screw the CO2cylinder (1) into the
inflator and hand tighten.
Manual inflator (Fig. 4.4a)
After use in fresh water dry the lifejacket.

dried. Empty the lifejacket of air using the
oral inflation valve.
a. Unscrew and discard the used CO2
cylinder (1).
b. If the release arm (3) has been pulled,
push it back in place and attach the
Lock pin (4) above the release arm.
c. Gasket (2) under the CO2cylinder must
be removed and discarded. Insert a new
gasket in the inflator (5). Screw the CO2
cylinder (1) tightly onto the inflator (5)
by hand.

5. SPARE PARTS
Halkey Roberts automatic inflator
CO2cylinder, bobbin, gasket and lock-pin
are delivered separately. Do not open until
required for use.
It is recommended always to keep a spare set.
