The intended use also includes compliance with this
operation manual. Any use of the device that goes
beyond the intended use or is dierent is considered
misuse and may lead to dangerous situations.
This charger is intended for use in industrial areas
and can cause radio interference in residential areas.
WARNING! Danger due to misuse!
Misuse of the device may lead to dange-
rous situations. Therefore:
• Do not operate the device outside of its speci-
cations and application limits (see also chapter
"Technical data").
• Do not use the device in explosive atmospheres.
• Do not open, change or tamper with the device.
Claims of any type due to damage as a result of
improper use are excluded.
1.8 Responsibility of the operating
company
1.8.1 General obligations
The device is used for commercial purposes. The
company operating the device is therefore subject to
statutory occupational health and safety obligations.
In addition to the safety instructions in this operation
manual, the valid safety, accident prevention and
environmental protection regulations must be obser-
ved for the area of use. The following are particu-
larly important:
• The operating company must be familiar with the
applicable occupational health and safety regula-
tions and determine additional hazards that result
from the specic local operating conditions by
compiling a risk analysis. This must be implemen-
ted in the form of operating instructions for opera-
ting the device.
• For the entire service life of the device, the opera-
ting company must check whether the operating
instructions it has created correspond to the cur-
rent status of the regulations and must adapt them
if necessary.
• The operating company must clearly regulate and
dene the responsibilities for installation, opera-
tion, maintenance and cleaning.
• The operating company must ensure that the per-
sonnel who work with the device have read and
understood this operation manual. In addition, the
operator must train the personnel on a regular
basis and inform them of possible dangers.
• The operating company must provide the person-
nel with the necessary protective equipment and
check at regular intervals that it is in a proper con-
dition. Protective equipment that is not intact must
be replaced by new equipment.
• The operating company must take the necessary
re protection measures and provide re extingu-
ishing as well as rst aid equipment and keep it
intact.
Furthermore, the operating company is responsible
for ensuring that the device is always in perfect wor-
king order from a technical point of view. The fol-
lowing therefore applies:
• The operating company must ensure that the
maintenance activities described in this operation
manual are carried out.
• The operating company must regularly check all
safety markings on the device to ensure they are
legible and complete.
1.8.2 Requirements for the personnel
WARNING! Danger of injury in the event
of inadequate qualications! Incorrect hand-
ling may result in signicant personal injuries
and damage to property. Therefore:
• Have all tasks performed exclusively by personnel
with the appropriate qualications.
• In general, only personnel who can be expected to
carry out their work reliably should be authorised.
• People with impaired reactive abilities, e.g.,
because of drugs, alcohol or medication, are not
permitted to work with the device.
• When selecting personnel, observe the age and
job-specic regulations applicable at the place of
use.
