1. Before beginning any exercise program, 9.

bike in agarage or covered patio, or near

Place the exercise bike on alevel surface,
with amat beneath it to protect the floor or
carpet. Make sure that there is at least 2 ft.
(0.6 m) of clearance around the exercise bike.

The heart rate monitor is not a medical
device. Various factors may affect the accu-
racy of heart rate readings. The heart rate
monitor is intended only as an exercise aid
in determining heart rate trends in genera!.
The exercise bike does not have a freewheel;
the pedals will continue to move until the
flywheel stops. Reduce your pedaling speed
in a controlled way.
Over exercising may result in serious injury
or death, if you fee! faint or if you experience
pain while exercising, stop immediately and
cool down.

BEFORE YOU BEGIN
Thank you for selecting the new WESLO <_'PURSUIT CT
2.2 exercise bike. Cycling is an effective exercise for
increasing cardiovascular fitness, building endurance,
and toning the body. The PURSUIT CT 2.2 exercise
bike provides a selection of features designed to make
your workouts at home more effective and enjoyable.
For your benefit, read this manual carefully before
you use the exercise bike. If you have questions after
reading this manual, please see the front cover of this
manual. To help us assist you, note the product model
number and serial number before contacting us. The
model number and the location of the serial number
decal are shown on the front cover of this manual.
Before reading further, please review the drawing
below and familiarize yourself with the labeled parts.

ASSEMBLY

Assembly requires two persons.
Place all parts in a cleared area and remove the
packing materials. Do not dispose of the packing
materials until you finish all assembly steps.
Left parts are marked "L" or "Left" and right parts
are marked "R" or "Right."
In addition to the included tool(s), assembly
requires the following tool(s):
one Phillips screwdriver
one adjustable wrench
one pair of pliers
Assembly may be easier if you have a set of
wrenches. To avoid damaging parts, do not use
power tools.
.Identify the Rear Stabilizer (10), which has a
leveling dial on each end.
Set a sturdy piece of packing material under the
rear of the Frame (1). Have a second person
hold the Frame to prevent it from tipping
while you complete this step.
Attach the Rear Stabilizer (10) to the Frame (1)
with two M8 x 92mm Screws (50) and two M8
Curved Washers (51).
Remove the packing material.

If there is a cardboard tube (not shown) on the
front the Frame (1), remove and discard the
attachment screw and the cardboard tube.
Set a sturdy piece of packing material under the
front of the Frame (1). Have a second person
hold the Frame to prevent it from tipping
while you complete this step.
Attach the Front Stabilizer (9) to the Frame (1)
with two M8 x 92mm Screws (50) and two M8
Curved Washers (51).
Remove the packing material.

,While a second person holds the Upright (3)
near the Frame (1), connect the Extension Wire
(38) to the Reed Switch Wire (26).
Next, connect the Resistance Cable (24) to the
Lower Resistance Cable (27) in the following
way:
See drawing A. Pull upward on the metal
bracket on the Lower Resistance Cable (27),
and insert the tip of the Resistance Cable (24)
into the wire clip inside the metal bracket.
• See drawing B. Firmly pull the Resistance
Cable (24) upward and slide it into the top of
the metal bracket.
• See drawing C. Using pliers, squeeze the
prongs on the upper end of the metal bracket
together.
Insert the wires and cables into the Frame (1).
Tip: Avoid pinching the wires and cables.
Slide the Upright (3) onto the Frame (1). Attach
the Upright with four M8 x 20mm Screws (52)
and four M8 Curved Washers (51).

Have a second person hold the Handlebar (4)
near the Upright (3). Insert the two Pulse Wires
(19) into the Upright, and pull them out of the top
of the Upright.
Tip: Avoid pinching the Pulse Wires (19).
Open the indicated clamp on the Upright (3),
hold the Handlebar (4) inside the clamp, and
close the clamp. Then, slide the Handlebar
Cover (21) onto the Handlebar and the clamp.
Slide the Knob Spacer (23), an M8 Split Washer
(54), and an M8 Small Washer (53) onto
the Handlebar Knob (22). Then, tighten the
Handlebar Knob into the clamp.

.The Console (2) requires two AA batteries (not
included); alkaline batteries are recommended.
Do not use old and new batteries together or
alkaline, standard, and rechargeable batter-
ies together, iMPORTANT: If the Console has
been exposed to cold temperatures, allow
it to warm to room temperature before you
insert batteries. Otherwise, you may dam-
age the console displays or other electronic
components.
Press the tab on the battery cover, and remove
the battery cover. Next, insert batteries into the
battery compartment. Make sure to orient the
batteries as shown by the diagram inside the
battery compartment. Then, reattach the bat-
tery cover.

Have a second person hold the Console (2)
near the Upright (3). Connect the wires on the
Console to the Extension Wire (38) and to the
Pulse Wires (19).
Insert the excess wire into the Upright (3) or into
the Console (2).
Tip: Avoid pinching the wires. Attach the
Console (2) to the Upright (3) with four M5 x
10mm Screws (55).

.Attach the Seat (6) to the Seat Post (7) with
three M8 Locknuts (43), three M8 Split Washers
(54), and three M8 Large Washers (57).
Note: The Locknuts, Split Washers, and
Large Washers may be preattached to the
underside of the Seat.

.Loosen and remove the Seat Knob (25) from the
Frame (1).
Next, insert the Seat Post (7) into the Frame
(1), adjust the Seat Post to the desired height,
and insert the Seat Knob (25) into the indicated
hole in the Frame and into one of the adjustment
holes in the Seat Post.
Tighten the Seat Knob (25). Make sure that the
Seat Knob is inserted into one of the adjust-
ment holes in the Seat Post (7).

9. Identify the Right Pedal (16).
Using an adjustable wrench, firmly tighten the
Right Pedal (16) clockwise into the right arm of
the Crank (35).
Tighten the Left Pedal (not shown) counter-
clockwise into the left arm of the Crank (not
shown).
Adjust the strap on the Right Pedal (16) to the
desired position, and press the end of the strap
onto the tab on the side of the Right Pedal.
Adjust the strap on the Left Pedal (not
shown) in the same way.
10. Make sure that all parts are properly tightened before you use the exercise bike. Note: Extra parts may
be included. Place a mat beneath the exercise bike to protect the floor.

HOW TO USE THE EXERCISE BiKE
HOW TO ADJUST THE SEAT POST
For effective exercise, the seat should be at the proper
height. As you pedal, there should be a slight bend in
your knees when the pedals are in the lowest position.
To adjust the height
of the seat, first
loosen and remove
the seat knob. Next,
slide the seat post
upward or down- Knob
ward and align one
of the adjustment
holes in the seat
post with the hole
in the frame. Insert
the seat knob into
the frame and the
seat post, and
then tighten the
seat knob. Make
sure that the seat knob is inserted into one of the
adjustment holes in the seat post.
HOW TO ADJUST THE HANDLEBAR
To adjust the angle
of the handlebar,
loosen the handle-
bar knob, rotate the
handlebar to the
desired position,
and then tighten the
handlebar knob.
HOW TO ADJUST THE PEDALING RESISTANCE
To increase the
resistance of the
pedals, turn the
resistance knob
clockwise; to
decrease the resis-
tance, turn the knob
counterclockwise.
iMPORTANT: Stop
turning the knob
when turning
becomes difficult,
or you may dam-
age the exercise bike.
