Overview
PowerOutageAlarmisasimpletodetectlossofpower(powercuts).Oncepowerlossisdetected,theunit
willcallandSMStoyourcellphoneviathemobilephonenetworkto5designatedphonenumberand/or
soundanaudiblealerttomakeyouawareofthepowerfailure.
Theunitalsohas1x30Aheavydutyrelayoutputcanbeusedtoswitchonanyapplicationlikelamps,
pumps,heaters,motoretcwhenpoweroutage.OutputrelaycanbeswitchedONorOFFbycallingitscell
phonenumberorbysendinganSMScommand,thereisnocallchargesincurredwhendiallingtheunitasit
willrecognizeanauthorisedtelephonenumbercallingitandrejectthecallwithoutanswering.Thisfunction
isimportanttoswitchonthegenerator,backupbatteryandetc.
TheGSMRemoteControlsystemsupportstimerfunction,theusercansetscheduletoturnon/offthe
switch.Forexample,putyourpump,motoronaschedule.“Turnoffin5minutes”,“turnonat17:00,“turn
on1yearlater”
Thisfunctionisimportanttouseintherentingandleasingindustryofelectricalappliances,heavyvehicle,
andrentalofsiteequipmenttoturnoffthemachineswhenoffhiretimecompleted
ThisfunctionalsoimportantastheremindertotheownertomonitortheSIMCardexpirydate.Usercan
instructtheunittotriggertherelayinthespecifiedtimesandsenttheSMStotheusertokeeptheSIMcard
activewhenexpirydates.

SETTINGUPANDPROGRAMMING
WhenfirstbootingupthesystemyouwillseeGreenLEDLightsonthesideoftheEnclosureanditshould
lightupwhentheNetworkisappliedtotheunit.
TheGreenLEDisthenetworkIndicatorandthiswilllightupwhenattemptingtologontothenetworkflash
inconsistentlyuntilitlocatesthenetwork.
APhoneCalltotheSIMCardNumberwillnowLatchtheRelaypermanentlyONandSwitchthedevicebeing
ControlledOn.
TheStatusoftheRelaywillremainason,untiltheunitreceivesasecondCalltotheUnitofwhichwillnow
LatchtheRelayPermanentlyoff.
BothCallsusedtoLatchtheRelayeitheronoroffareautomaticallydisconnected,oncetherelaysare
activatedandneverincuranyNetworkCallCosts.

TheGSMPowerOutageAlarmiseasytosetupanduse.InserttheSIMcard,simplyuseyourmobilephone
calltotheunit,yourmobilephonenumberwillautomaticallyregisterasthe1stAdministrators
