Hazards to the operator
At WMF, safety is one of the most essential product features.
Theeffectiveness of the safety devices can only be ensured
ifthefollowing points are observed:
> Do not touch hot device
components.
> Do not use the device if it is
not working properly or if it is
damaged.
> Use the device only when it is
completely assembled.

Despite the safety devices, every coffee machine poses hazard
potential if incorrectly used. Please observe the following
instructions when using the device so as to prevent injury and
health hazards:

> Never loosen the screws, and do
not remove any housing parts.
WARNING
> Never use adamaged mains cable.
> Avoid damage to the mains cable. Do not kink or crush it.
> Never immerse the mains plug in water or other liquids,
or pour water or other liquids over the mains plug.
Always keeps the mains plug dry.

Safety
This coffee station is designed to operate acompatible
WMFcoffee machine without requiring awater infeed or drain.
The station can be set up anywhere within aroom, but
must not be pushed across steps, door thresholds, or other
obstacles.
The use of the device is subject to this User Manual. Any other
use or use that goes beyond the aforementioned is considered
incorrect use. Themanufacturer shall not be liable for any
damage resulting from this.
Tipping hazard
• The coffee station can tip over

when it is loaded with acoffee
machine and optional add-on
equipment.

Any necessary on-site preparatory work for electricity at
the customer‘s premises is to be arranged by the machine
owner/operator. The work must be carried out by authorised
installation technicians in compliance with general, country-
specific and local regulations. The WMFService engineers may
only connect the coffee machine to existing prepared connection
points. WMFService is neither authorized nor responsible for
carrying out any on-site installation work prior to connection.
The potential equalization terminal is installed by WMFService
ifneeded.

Introduction and general information
2.2 General functional description
The coffee station can be equipped with asuitable
WMFcoffee machine and matching cooler, or with
anarrow cup rack. The coffee machine sits in the
middle of the cart. If there is no cooler, then the cup
rack can be placed on either the left or right side of
the coffee machine.
2.3 Versions
The coffee station is available in different versions.
• with shelf, no equipment
• with shelf, with grounds container, no equipment
• with equipment, no shelf
• with equipment, with grounds container, no shelf

Risk of injury
> Always secure the coffee station by locking
the swivel rollers.
• The coffee station can roll away if
unsecured, causing injury or damage.
> Always secure the coffee station and lock
the swivel rollers.
3.1 Starting operation
Open the door of the coffee station
Remove fresh water tank and waste water tank
Unscrew the lid on the fresh water tank
Fill the fresh water tank with clean, cold water
Replace the lid on the fresh water tank
Check that the waste water tank is empty
Screw the lid, with hose, on to the waste water tank
Replace both tanks in the coffee station
Close the door of the coffee station
Plug the connector into agrounded outlet
Switch on the coffee machine, as described in the
user manual

3.2 Empty message
Scalding hazard
• The waste water tank does not have afill
level message or overflow safety.
> Empty the waste water tank every time the
fresh water tank is filled.
> If the fresh water tank is removed, coffee
dispensing is automatically locked out.
> Remove the waste water tank only if the
fresh water tank has already been removed.
When the fresh water tank is empty, amessage
appears.
For example
WMF1100 S Display: Check external water tank
After the fresh water tank is filled, the message
disappears, and the coffee machine is once again
ready to use.
Unscrew the lid with the hose from the waste water
tank, and clip it to the bracket on the right inside
the coffee station
Remove and empty the waste water tank
Replace the lid on the waste water tank
3.3 With water filter (optional)
An angle is mounted on the bottom of the
table top for ease in changing the filter. The
filter head is hung on the angle to secure it
during the change.
Optionally, the coffee station can be run with
aWMFwater filter.

Care
4 Care
4.1 Cleaning
Daily cleaning of the coffee station is done after close
of business.
Perform the coffee machine cleaning program
Switch off the coffee machine
Unplug the mains plug from the outlet
Open the door
Remove fresh water tank and waste water tank
Unscrew the lids from both tanks
Completely empty both tanks
Remove any soiling and lime deposits with abrush
Rinse out the tanks thoroughly with hot water
Leave the tanks open to dry
Clean the coffee station using adamp cloth
Wipe dry using afine woolen cloth
• There is arisk of causing scratches or
scoring.
> Do not clean with scouring powders or
thelike.
> Do not use any strong cleaning agent.
> Use soft cloths for cleaning.
> We recommend adamp microfiber cloth.

6.1 Hazards to the coffee machine

We do not accept any warranty for damage
resulting from failure to follow this
requirement.
Follow the conditions for use and installation.
Installation location
• The installation location must be dry and
protected against water spray.
Please observe the following instructions so as to
prevent problems with and damage to the device:
• For insurance reasons always ensure that, at the end
of operation the mains switch is switched off or the
mains plug is unplugged.
• We recommend damage prevention measures:
- e.g. installation of smoke alarms.
• After shut off for several days we recommend
thorough cleaning.

Safety and warranty | Duties of the owner/operator
6.2 Duties of the owner/operator
The operator of such equipment must ensure regular
maintenance by WMFService technicians, their agents
or other authorised persons, and checking of safety
devices.
Access to the service area is permitted only for persons
with knowledge and practical experience with the
device, especially regarding safety and hygiene.
The coffee machine must be set up by the operator
such that care and maintenance can be performed
without hindrance.
In office/floor supply or similar self-service
operations, only staff instructed in operation of the
coffee machine should supervise the coffee machine.
Trained personnel should carry out care procedures and
be available for questions regarding use.
The operator shall ensure that electrical equipment
and operating facilities are in afit state (e.g., to DGUV
Regulation3) [German Accident Prevention Association
or equivalent]. In order to ensure the operating safety
of your coffee machine, it is essential to perform
regular checks of the safety valves and the pressure
containers, among other checks.
These measures are conducted by WMFService or
by WMFauthorised service personnel as part of the
maintenance work.

6.3 Warranty claims

• We do not accept any warranty for damage
resulting from failure to follow this
requirement.
> Follow the conditions for use and
installation.
Whether the purchaser has any rights under warranty,
and the nature of any such warranty rights that the
purchaser may have, is determined by the agreement
made between the purchaser and the vendor. If the
requirements of this User Manual are not followed,
warranty claims will not be recognised.
No warranty is provided:
• On any parts subject to natural wear and tear.
• For malfunctions due to weather, chemical,
electrochemical, or electrical effects, unless
attributable to afault on the part of WMF.
• For malfunctions that occur as aresult of failure
to follow handling instructions and regulations,
intended use, maintenance, and care of the unit
(e.g., user manual).
• With respect to faults which occur as the result of
failure to use original WMFspare parts or incorrect
assembly by the purchaser or by third parties or by
faulty or negligent treatment.
• With respect to the consequences of improper
modifications undertaken without the consent of
WMF, or by repair or reconditioning work on the
part of the purchaser or by third parties.
• With respect to faults caused by inappropriate or
improper use.
