The2N®SpeedRouteLTE/HSPA+/UMTS/GSMdatarouterhasbeendevelopedand
manufacturedtoprovidethemaximumutilityvalue,qualityandreliability.Wehope
youwillbefullysatisfiedwith2N®SpeedRouteforalongtime.Therefore,useyour
2N®SpeedRouteforpurposesithasbeendesignedandmanufacturedfor,in accordance
herewith.
BasicFeatures
n2N®SpeedRouteallowsoperateaccess pointtoInternetusinghighspeed
technology LTE,HSPA orHSPA+, eventually other technologieswithlower
speeddataconnection.Itsupportsboththelocalnetwork connectionby
GigabitEthernetswitchandWiFiroutersupportingallusedstandards
nThedeviceprovidesacontinuousbroadbandInternetconnectionformultiple
usersviatheGigabitEthernetswitchortheWiFinetwork providedby
2N®SpeedRoute.
nItispossibletoconnectanaloguephonedevicewithFXOportandperform
voiceconnectionusingVoIPtechnology
nTheHSPA andHSPA+versionsallowstheconnectionusingvoicechannelof
mobileconnectiontoo.Theselectionofthecommunicationchannelisdoneby
theroutingtable.Thisisnot possiblewiththeLTEversion,theLTEtechnology
supportsthedataconnectiononly,forthevoiceconnectiontheVoIP
technologymustbeused.
nProductversionsare describedinsection‘Technicalparameters’. Versionsare
designedtocover wideselectionoftechnologiesandbands(especially LTE
technologyusesmanydifferentbands,itisnotpossibletocoveritby onetype
of device).
nThe2N®SpeedRouteLTEparametersaredesignatedas LTE2.
nThe2N®SpeedRouteHSPAandHSPA+parametersaredesignatedas LTE3.

5GHzinterface.Thestandards802.11a/b/g/nare supported.
SafetyPrecautions
Donotswitchon2N®SpeedRouteinthevicinityof medicalapparatusesto
avoidinterference.Theminimum distanceoftheantennaandpacemakers
shouldbe0.5m.
Donotswitchon2N®SpeedRouteaboardof aplane.
Donotswitchon2N®SpeedRoutenearpetrol stations,chemicalfacilitiesor
siteswhereexplosivesare used.
Any mobiletelephoneuseprohibitionbasedonRF energyradiationappliesto
2N®SpeedRoutetoo.

InstallationRequirements
2N®SpeedRouteisdesignedforverticalmountingonsuspensionholes.Itcanbe
placedinthehorizontalpositiononthetabletoo.
Install 2N®SpeedRoutewithrespecttothesignalstrength–check thesignalstrength
usingthe2N®SpeedRoutewebinterfaceorLEDindicatorinthefrontpage.When
week signalisindicated,trytofindbetterpositionforantennaoruseantennawith
highergain.
Place2N®SpeedRouteoutof rangeof sensitivedevicesandhumanbodiestominimize
electromagneticinterference.
Fortheallowedrangeof operatingtemperaturesrefertotheTechnicalParameters
chapter.
Itisimpossibletooperate2N®SpeedRouteonsitesexposedtodirectsolarradiation
ornearheatsources.
2N®SpeedRouteisdesignedforindooruse.Itmaynotbeexposedtorain,flowing
water,condensedmoisture,fog,etc.
2N®SpeedRoutemaynot beexposedtoaggressivegas,acidvapours,solvents,etc.
2N®SpeedRouteisnot designedforenvironmentswithhighvibrationssuchasmeans
of transport,machinerooms,etc.

nMakesure thatyouare providedwithallnecessary technicaldevices–SIM
withLTE/UMTSdataconnectionsupport,aPC, eventually ananalogue
telephonesetoraPBX withafreeexternalanalogueinterfaceFXO.

External AntennaConnection
Screwtheconnectorof antennaincludedinthepackageintotheSMA antenna
connector.
Caution
nTightentheantennaconnector gently byhand – neverusewrenches!
Note
nTheantennahasasufficientgainforatrouble-free operationinnormal
conditions.Ifthesignalispoor,youcanuseanantennawithanSMA-
connectorterminatedcableandwithhighergain (usuallydirectional
antenna).
nTheantennashouldbelocatedwithin thesamebuildingas2N®SpeedRoute.
Whentheoutsideantennaisused,theinstallationmustbedoneaccording
appropriatestandards(grounding,overvoltageprotection).
SIMCard Installation
Releasethesafety pin andopentheSIMcardholderonthe2N®SpeedRoutebackside.
InserttheSIMcardandclick theholderback intoposition.
Cautions
nMakesure thatyourGSMprovider’sSIMcardiscompatiblewiththe
LTE/UMTS/GSMnetworksupportedbyyour2N®SpeedRouteversion.

nSelecttherequiredGSMproviderandSIMcardservices,suchascall
forwarding,callbarring,preferrednetworks,SMS centre,etc.inyour
mobilephonebeforeinsertingyourSIMcardin2N®SpeedRoute.
PowerSupply
2N®SpeedRouteisfedwith10–16VDC.Where asourceotherthantheincluded
power supplyadapter isused,thecorrectvoltagerangemustbeconnected.Supply
voltagemustbeconnectedwithcorrectpolarity– positivepoletotheinternalcontact
of theconnector.
Warning
nDo notconnectthe powersupply untiltheantennaisconnectedto
2N®SpeedRoutetoavoidtheLTE/UMTS/GSMmoduledamage.
Restart(Reset) Button
Therestart(reset)buttonislocatedontheright sideoftheconnectorpanel.When
pressedshortly,itrestarts2N®SpeedRoute.Whenpushedlonger than10s,itresets
2N®SpeedRoutetodefault values(factorysetup).
Tip
nYouwillfindthedefault valuesettinguseful,forexample,whenyou
forgetthepassword or thegateway IPaddress foryourwebinterface
access.

Connect2N®SpeedRoutetoavacantCOlineof yourPBX.ConfigureyourPBX
accordingtothedemandsforroutingoutgoingcallstotherouter.Theincomingcalls
routingmustbesetinthePBXtoo.

n2N®SpeedRoute-isequippedwiththeFSK-basedCLIPfunction.Ifyour
PBX isabletoprocessthecaller’sID,youareadvisedtoenablethis
function.

inthegatewayandassignsyourPCanIPaddress rangingfrom192.168.1.100to
192.168.1.200 bydefault.Whenyour2N®SpeedRoutegetsconnectedtothePC and
readstheIPaddress,entertheIPaddress192.168.1.1intoyourwebbrowser toget
accesstothe2N®SpeedRoutewebinterfaceforconfiguration.Thefollowinglogin
dialogueisdisplayed.
Toenterthewebinterfaceenter thecorrectusernameandpassword.Thedefault
valuesfortheAdministratorare asfollows:
