nTheprimarypurposeofEasyGateistotransmitvoicebetweenamobile
network andanattachedFXO-interfaceterminal(PBX,telephone,answering
machine,etc.).
nEasyGateisproducedintwobasicmodifications– GSMandUMTS.Some
GSMmodelssupportsanaloguefaxconnection.
nYoucanestablishdataconnectionsandsend/receiveSMSusingEasyGatein
combinationwithaPC andappropriatesoftware.VersionGSMsupportsGPRS

Any mobiletelephoneuseprohibitionbasedonRF energyradiationappliesto
EasyGatetoo.

ScrewtheantennaenclosedintotheSMA antennaconnector.

nTightentheantennaconnector gently withyourhand – neveruse
wrenches!
Note
nTheantennawithout cablehasasufficientgainfortrouble-freeoperation
innormalconditions.Ifthesignalispoor,iftheinterferenceoccuroryou
want toplaceyourantennaseparatelyfromEasyGate,youcanusean
antennawithanSMA-connectorterminatedcable.Theantennashouldbe
mountedvertically.
nTheAntennashallbelocatedwithinthesamebuildingasthemainequipment.
nForantennaparameters seethe“TechnicalParameters”.
SIMCard Installation
Slot forSIMcardisplacedontheconnectorpanel.InserttheSIMcardtotheslotwith
contactsorientedtothefrontpanelwithLED.Makesurethatthecardislocked
properly.
Cautions
nMakesure thattheprovider’sSIMcardiscompatiblewiththeGSM(UMTS)
network supportedbyyourEasyGateversion.
nOperatorservicesandSIMcardservices,suchaspreferrednetworks,SMS
servicecentre,PINprotectionetc.mustbesetinyourmobilephone
before insertingyourSIMcardintoEasyGate.
PowerSupplyConnection
EasyGateisfedwith 10-16V DC.Whereasourceotherthantheincludedpowersupply
adapterisused,thevoltagerangeandpolarityhavetobemaintained.See technical
parameters.
EasyGatewithbattery optionallowstosupportfunctionalityincaseofpower failure.
Forbackupusefourpiecesof accumulatorsNiMhsizeAA.Theseaccumulatorsare
usuallynot partof delivery.Puttheaccumulatorstothebatteryholder onthebottom
sideunderthecover priortoinstallation.Polarity of accumulatorsismarkedinsideof
thebattery space.
