1Introduction
1.1 Scope of the document
The content of the document deals with how to update or reinstall a MicroBrowser on an
CP600-WEB.
1.2 Compatibility
The application note explained in this document has been used with the below CP600-WEB
panels:
•CP620-WEB
•CP630-WEB
•CP635-WEB
•CP650-WEB
•CP651-WEB

1.3 Explanation from files
AUTOEXEC.bat:
Allow to execute ubrowser.exe automatically when this file will be placed under \Flash folder
Disable_Autostart.bat:
Remove autoexec.bat file from \Flash folder
Enable_Autostart.bat:
Copy autoexec.bat file from current folder to \Flash folder
KioskMode.bat:
Substitute current configuration file with uBrowser_Kiosk.xml
NoKioskMode.bat:
Substitute current configuration file with uBrowser_NoKiosk.xml

uBrowser.xml:
Ubrowser configuration default file (version 130)
uBrowser_Kiosk.xml:
Ubrowser configuration file with option kiosk mode enabled
uBrowser_NoKiosk.xml:
Ubrowser configuration file with option kiosk mode disabled

2How to
2.1 Format Flash
1. We need to start the panel in configuration mode, to do this you need to power on the
panel and start tap quickly in the middle of the screen, when the procedure is accepted,
you'll see "Tap Tap detected, going to config mode" on screen and after some time the
panel will show you a page with the rotating menu.
2. Now we need to format the panel so into the rotating menu select the "Format flash", set
a pick at “Uninstall HMI” and confirm with OK. Wait for the deleting operation to be com-
pleted, this may take some minutes.
3. Now restart the panel. You should see this screen.
2.2 Install MicroBrowser
1. Create an empty folder called “Microbrowser”
2. Extract the “MicroBrowser 1.5.15.xxx.zip” file into this folder
3. Copy the folder “Microbrowser” into an USB pen drive
4. Plug the USB Flash Drive to the panel
5. Tap on “Transfer from disk” and select the folder “MicroBrowser” on your USB Flash Drive.
After the copy is finished the Windows-CE environment will be started automatically.
6. Set the IP-Address of the panel via:
“Start/Settings/Network and Dial-up connections/EMAC1”
7. Use Shortcut “Registry Save” on Desktop to permanently flash the IP-Settings

2.3 Check MicroBrowser version
1. Please connect a keyboard to the panel and push “ALT + X” if you are in the full screen
mode
2. You will see the WinCE surface
3. Please navigate to “My Device/Flash/MicroBrowser”
4. Plug in a USB flash drive (with FAT or FAT32 format, NTFS is not supported)
5. Select the “MicroBrowser_CE.exe” file
6. Copy the “MicroBrowser_CE.exe” to this USB device, using the taskbar functions (Edit-
>Copy and Edit->Paste)
7. Disconnect the USB flash drive
8. Plug the USB flash drive to your computer
9. Check the properties with a right click on the “MicroBrowser_CE.exe” file
10. Select the second tab "version"
11. MicroBrowser version will be shown
2.4 Update MicroBrowser to the latest version
1. Please connect a keyboard to the panel and push ALT + X if you are in the full screen mode
2. You will see the WinCE surface
3. Extract the “MicroBrowser 1.5.xx.yyy.zip” to the root of your USB flash drive (FAT or FAT32
format, NTFS is not supported)
4. Disconnect the USB flash drive from the computer
5. Plug in the USB flash drive to the CP600-WEB panel
6. Please navigate to “My Device/USBMemory/” where the “MicroBrowser_CE.exe” is located
7. Select all files located in the folder using the keyboard for selecting
8. Using the taskbar functions (Edit->Copy)
9. Please navigate to “My Device/Flash/MicroBrowser”
10. Using the taskbar functions (Edit->Paste) and insert the new files, replace the old ones
11. Disconnect the USB flash drive from the panel
12. Start the “MicroBrowser_CE.exe” with a double click

1. How to Exit full screen?

2. Is an SNTP service available?
The CP600 Panels Operating System features an integrated SNTP (Simple Network Time
Protocol) that synchronizes the internal RTC panel whenever the predefined server is avail-
able.
The server addresses are hard-coded and cannot be changed by the user. The system
searches for the following servers:
-time.windows.com
-tock.usno.navy.mil
