Achtung
Zur bestimmungsgemäßen Bedienung
des Schlosses ist ein Bluetooth®-fähiges
Smartphone sowie die ABUS SmartX
App erforderlich.
Laden Sie den Akku zu 100% auf (der
Ladestand des Akkus kann in der
SmartX App angezeigt werden), danach
ist das Schloss einsatzbereit.
Drücken Sie die Kappe nach dem Auf-
laden wieder fest an! Die Kappe besitzt
eine Dichtungsfunktion und schützt
die Elektronik vor dem Eindringen von
Feuchtigkeit und Schmutz.

Laden Sie die ABUS SmartX App herun-
ter, installieren Sie diese und folgen Sie
den Anweisungen in der App bis zum
Scannen des QR-Codes der mitgeliefer-
ten ABUS Codekarte.
Bewahren Sie die Codekarte unbe-
dingt auch nach dem Einlernvor-
gang an einem sicheren Ort auf! Sie
benötigen die Codekarte für Soware-
Updates, bei Verlust des Smartphones
sowie als Eigentumsnachweis bei
Gewährleistungsansprüchen und Re-
paratur. Geben Sie die Karte nicht an
Dritte weiter.
Zum elektronischen Betrieb des
Schlosses muss die Bluetooth® Funktion
am Smartphone aktiviert sein. Das
Smartphone muss eine Internetverbin-
dung besitzen und darf sich nicht im
Flugmodus benden.

3. Signaltöne und LED-Anzeige
Im Auslieferzustand und wenn das
Schloss ohne Bremsscheibe geschlos-
sen wird, bendet sich das Schloss im
Transportmodus.
Im Transportmodus ndet keine
Kommunikation / Suche nach einem
berechtigten Smartphone statt. Bewe-
gungen am Schloss lösen keinen Alarm
aus.
Wird das Schloss mit Bremsscheibe
geschlossen, wird automatisch der
Überwachungsmodus aktiviert. Im
Überwachungsmodus bietet das Schloss
zusätzlich elektronische Überwachung
auf Er-
schütterung /
Bewegung
und löst bei
Erkennen
lautstarken
Alarm aus.

Sicherheitshinweise Lithium-Ionen-Akku
und Lithium-Knopfzelle CR2032
Dieses Produkt enthält einen Lithium-Ionen-
Akku und eine Lithium-Knopfzelle. Ein
Wechsel ist nicht erforderlich und nur durch
den Hersteller (ABUS) erlaubt. Lesen Sie diese
Sicherheitshinweise durch und befolgen Sie
diese. Das Nichtbeachten kann zu einem
Brand und / oder Personen- und Sachschä-
den führen!
- Lagern und benutzen Sie das Produkt nicht
in Bereichen, in denen die Temperatur
-20°C unterschreiten oder +40°C überschrei-
ten kann. Setzen Sie das Produkt nicht für
längere Zeit direkter Sonneneinstrahlung
aus!
- Laden und benutzen Sie das Produkt nicht
in Umgebungen, in denen Explosionsgefahr
besteht, z.B. durch brennbare Flüssigkeiten,
Gase oder Staub.
- Versuchen Sie niemals, das Produkt zu
önen und den Akku zu entnehmen. Es
besteht die Gefahr einer Beschädigung
(Ausgasen des Akkus, Kurzschluss, etc.)
- Akku und Batterie dürfen nicht in die
Hände von Kindern gelangen. Kinder
können Akku und Batterie in den Mund
nehmen und verschlucken. Dies kann zu
ernsthaen Gesundheitsschäden führen.

Suchen Sie in einem solchen Fall sofort
einen Arzt auf!
- Ein beschädigter Akku kann Reizungen der
Atemwege, der Haut und der Augen verur-
sachen. Spülen Sie in diesem Fall die be-
troene Stelle sofort mit Wasser und suchen
Sie einen Arzt auf. Die in dem Akku enthal-
tene Flüssigkeit ist brennbar!
- Der Akku darf nur geladen werden, wenn
das Gehäuse des Schlosskörpers unbeschä-
digt ist. Weist der Schlosskörper sichtbare
Beschädigungen auf, z.B. Risse, Löcher, darf
der Akku nicht geladen werden!
- Verwenden Sie zum Auaden ausschließlich
das mitgelieferte USB-Kabel in Verbindung
mit einem geeigneten Ladegerät (Netzteil
5V DC, Ladestrom mindestens 500 mA)!
Lassen Sie das Schloss während des Aua-
dens nicht unbeaufsichtigt!
- Verbrennen Sie das Produkt niemals! Der
Akku und die Batterie können im Feuer
explodieren. Außerdem entstehen dadurch
giige Stoe.
Allgemeine Sicherheitshinweise
- Verwenden Sie zur Reinigung des Schlosses
keinen Hochdruckreiniger und keine
aggressiven Reinigungsmittel.
- Prüfen Sie das Schloss mindestens einmal
im Jahr auf Beschädigungen. Weist der
Schlosskörper sichtbare Beschädigungen

nicht mehr verwendet werden.

in order to correctly operate the lock.
Charge the battery to 100% (the
charge level of the battery can be
displayed in the SmartX app), and the
lock will be ready for use.
Aer charging, remember to properly
close the cap again! The cap seals the
device and protects the electronics
from humidity and dirt.

Download the ABUS SmartX app, install
it and follow the instructions in the
app until you have scanned the QR
code on the ABUS code card provided.
It is imperative to keep the code card
in a safe place even aer completing
the setup. You need the code card
for soware updates, if you lose your
smartphone, and for proof of owner-
ship for matters related to warranty
claims and repair. Do not give the
card to third parties.
The Bluetooth® function must be swit-
ched on in your smartphone to operate
the lock electronics. The smartphone
must be connected to the Internet and
not be in ight mode.

3. Signal tones and LED display
When delivered, and if the lock is clo-
sed without a brake disc, the lock will
be in transport mode.
It does not communicate or search for
an authorised smartphone while in
transport mode. Moving the lock will
not trigger the alarm.
If the lock is closed with a brake disc,
monitoring mode automatically
enabled. In monitoring mode, the
lock additionally provides electronic
monitoring for shock/movement and
triggers a loud alarm upon detection. LED

Charging the battery
You can view the battery charge status
on the SmartX app. Charge your 8078
lock as soon as the app prompts you
to do so. The lock cannot be opened or
closed if the battery is depleted.

Safety information regarding the lithium-
ion battery and lithium button cell CR2032
This product contains a lithium-ion battery
and a lithium button cell. Changing the bat-
teries is not required and is only permissible
if performed by the manufacturer (ABUS).
Please read and observe these safety instruc-
tions. Non-observance of these instructions
could lead to re, injury to persons and/or
device damage!
- Do not use or store the product in areas
where the temperature could reach below
-20°C or above +40°C. Do not expose the
product to direct sunlight for long periods
of time.
- Do not use or charge the product in areas
with a risk of explosion, e.g. due to am-
mable liquids, gases or dust.
- Never attempt to open the product and re-
move the battery. This could lead to dama-
ge (battery outgassing, short circuit, etc.)
- Batteries must be kept out of the reach of
children. Children may put batteries in their
mouths and swallow them. This can cause
serious harm to their health. Seek imme-
diate medical attention in this event!
- A damaged battery could irritate your
airways, skin and eyes. In the event of
contact, immediately rinse the aected

on. The liquid inside the battery is am-
mable.
- The battery may only be charged if the lock
body housing is not damaged. If there is vi-
sible damage on the lock body such as
cracks or holes, the battery must not be
charged.
- Only use the USB cable provided and a
suitable charging device (5V DC power
supply unit, charging current at least 500
mA) to charge the device. Do not leave the
lock unattended while it is charging.
- Never burn the product. Batteries could
explode in the re. This would also release
toxic substances.
General safety information
- Do not use a high-pressure cleaner or
aggressive cleaning agents to clean the
lock.
- Check the lock for damage at least once a
year. If there is visible damage on the lock
body such as cracks or holes, the lock must
no longer be used.
