OPERATING FEATURES OF THE INSTRUMENT
The instrument has two operating modes: basic functions (direct access) and advanced
functions. In addition to the conguration functions, 2 working reference functions can be
accessed, in MIN, MAX and DELTA (TIR) mode, plus input of multiplication factor other than 1:1.
Sets a zero (long press), RESET the MIN/MAX mode, veries a selection, and controls switching
off the instrument. By default, SIS mode enables automatic switch-off with no loss of origin.
The «enter» key gives direct access to the function used most often.

Personalising the functions - lt is possible to activate or de-activate certain functions of the instrument via RS232

Prolonged pressure (>2s) on MODE gives access to the advanced functions. Then, each short press
on MODE accesses the next function:

The «enter» key gives direct access to a predened function, and can be congured according to
the needs of the user. In order to assign a function to the «enter» key, give a prolonged press on
ENTER, and then select the required function:

The dial gauge goes automatically into stand-by if not used for 20 minutes, unless Auto OFF mode
has been turned off.
Stand-by mode can be forced by a prolonged press (> 2 sec) on :

In stand-by mode, the value of the origin is retained by the sensor (SIS mode), and the instrument
automatically restarts with any movement of the measurement probe.
The instrument can be switched off completely for a long period of non-use, but this will
necessitate a zero RESET on restart (the origin will be lost):

The initial instrument setting can be restored at any time by prolonged press(>4sec) simultaneously
on MODE and ZERO unti I the message RESET is displayed.
RE-INITIALISING THE INSTRUMENT
LINEAR CORRECTION INPUT
Linear correction can be introduced either by command or by keyboard. The range of the correction is
+/- 999um/m.
By command: LIN+/-xxx[cr]
By keyboard: after the "rst" start-up of the module (every time the battery is re-inserted) press
MODE button >4s until "Lin.Co" is displayed the release the button. When a val id linear correction is
introduced, the menu will no longer be available until nextbattery re-insertion.

Linear correction example:
- Set the zero
- Measure a master
- Compute linear correction with measured value
- Introduce it by command or menu
- lnstrument ready and corrected
- 0.00
- master: 100.00mm, meas: 100.01mm, diff.: +0.01mm
- corr = 1000*diff/master
- corr = 1000*0.01/100 = 0.1mm/m => +100um/m
- Lin + 100 / + 100
