Placement and Maintenance
Your Kite Shelf is designed for indoor use on level floors.
Clean wood veneer and steel parts with a moist cloth.
Kite is engineered for easy assembly. Carefully follow this procedure to
prevent any damage. Do not use power tools for assembly of this product.
Step 1
Unpack and identify the parts listed below. The assembly workspace
should be a non-marring surface such as carpet. For missing hardware
pieces, contact BDI Customer Service at: [email protected].

Step 2 - Place shelf A1 on a worktable or non-marring floor. Position shelf rail A2 as shown with holes facing
the back. Important! Make sure the ends of the shelf and rail are aligned. If the rail is not completely aligned
with the end of the shelf, lift the entire rail straight up and reposition.

Step 3 - Place the hex driver T1 into each of the 5 holes and turn clockwise to tighten.

Step 4 - Unscrew the 5 flathead screws that attach the top shelf to the frame using hex driver T1 and set
the top shelf aside.

Step 5- Remove the 5 top caps by un-screwing them by hand.
