This is a guide for replacing the seat for the Discovery DLS. Follow along to the instructions
depending on which part you have that needs replacing instructions. Bio Bidet By Bemis is not
responsible for any damages that result from aempng this repair/replacement at home. If
you do not feel comfortable attempting this repair/replacement, please contact us to obtain an RMA
and return the bidet to our service center. *Be aware that replacing the seat involves wiring*
Before You Begin
• Unplug the bidet
• Turn off the water valve and drain the bidet
• Disconnect the bidet from the water supply and toilet and place on
a at, dry, and well-lit surface
Remove Screws Take Out Control Panel
• Turn the unit upside down and take out the screws
that are holding down the control panel. Be sure to
use a phillips screw driver.
• After the screws have been taken out, use a
at head screw driver to unlock the top housing
from the base by inserting the tip of a at head
screw driver into the 2 slots on the bottom
and/or top.
• You will have to use some force with the screw
driver to pop open the housing.

Remove Dampers
• To replace the seat/lid, you will need to remove the seat and lid dampers rst.
• Use a phillips screwdriver to take out the rst damper. Set the screws aside.
• Remove the second damper using the same screwdriver. Set the screws aside.
Unclip Wires
• Pull out the control board. Clipped wires should be connected. There are red dots on the left photo
that tell you which wires need to be pulled out. All wired clips are color coded.
• The following colored clips should be disconnected from left to right: Blue, Black, Black
• These wires should be unclipped since they are connecting the seat to the control board.
• Carefully detach the seat, lid, and control panel from each other. Carefully pull the seat wires out from the hole to
replace your seat.

Replace Seat
• Place the new replacement seat upside down down.
• Line up the lid to the housing and lay it upside down shown in the second picture. It should be loosely connected.
• Carefully thread the wires of the new seat through the side hole of the housing.
Reattach Dampers
• Your seat and lid should look like the left picture shown above.
• Reattach the two dampers back in their places. You might need to adjust the seat and/or lid so that the
dampers can t back in their places.
• Attach the bottom damper rst before attaching the second damper that rests above it. After attaching
the two dampers, your seat and lid should be secure back in their spots.

Reclip Wires To Control Panel
• Reconnect the clipped wires back into the control board. There are red dots on the left photo that tell you
which wires need to be connected again. The following color coded wires should be connected back from
left to right: Black, Black, Blue
• Make sure to double check that the correct wires have been reconnected to the control board.

Put Base Back On You’re Finished!
• After the wires are all connected, put the control
board back in the slot and snap the base back into
the housing. You may need to use force.
• Use a phillips screwdriver and
tighten the screws back in.
• Flip over the unit.
• Your Discovery DLS should be ready for use!
