• Intended solely for the purpose for which it is designed

Improper use can be dangerous.

and the attachments:

– On animals.
– On persons suffering from a herniated disk or from
abnormal changes to the vertebrae.
– To massage the heart region of persons fitted with a
pacemaker. Always consult a doctor before using this
Fascia-ReleaZer

tem diseases (e.g. sciatica) or acute inflammations.
• Never pull on the power cable or on the appliance in order
to disconnect the plug.
• Never hold or carry the device by the power cable. Keep
the cables away from hot surfaces.
• Never open the device for any reason.
• If the power cord of the device is damaged, have it
replaced right away.

• Make sure the massage device, plug and the power cord
do not come into contact with water or other fluids.
• Operate the device:
– Only inside dry rooms
– Only with dry hands
– On ly with the supplied accessories

Never in the bath, in the shower or near a filled basin
– Never in swimming pools, whirlpools or in the sauna
• Repairs to electrical appliances must only be carried out
by qualified persons.
• Never leave the device unsupervised, particularly if chil-
dren are around.
• Never use the device under covers, such as blankets or

• Before use, ensure that the device and accessories show
no visible damage. If you have any doubts, do not use the
device and contact your retailer or the specified Customer
Services address.
Rechargeable Battery Handling Safety Precautions
• If your skin or eyes come into contact with fluid from the
battery cell, flush out the affected areas with water and
seek medical assistance.

• If a battery has leaked, put on protective gloves and clean
the battery compartment with a dry cloth.
• Protect rechargeable batteries from excessive heat.
• Risk of explosion! Never throw batteries into a fire.
• Do not disassemble, split or crush the rechargeable bat-
teries.
• Only use chargers specified in the instructions for use.
• Batteries must be charged correctly prior to use. The
instructions from the manufacturer and the specifications
in these instructions for use regarding correct charging
must be observed at all times.
• Fully charge the battery prior to initial use (see Chapter
4/Before First Use).
• In order to achieve the longest battery service life possi-
ble, fully charge the battery at least every three months.
CAUTION
• Switch the device off and disconnect the power supply
after every use and before every cleaning.
• Avoid contact with sharp or pointed objects.
• Make sure the device is not too close to heat sources such
as ovens, radiators or direct sunlight.

2. Introduction
What is Fascia?
Fascias are fine, tough connective tissue fibers that pass through
our entire body like a three-dimensional network. Fascia surrounds
all muscles, bones, organs and nerve cells in the body and ensures
that when we move, the individual parts of our body glide past one
another and remain in place. Fascias also act as links between the
muscle fibers and ensure that we are able to use our muscle strength.
The strain energy between the tendons and bones is stored and then
suddenly released upon relaxing.
Fascias shorten and harden if not used regularly (similar to mus-
cles). The structures of the fascias stick together and thicken, which
causes them to become porous and lose their elasticity. This results
in small tears and inflammation, which also affects the transmission
of force and your coordination. In isolated cases, thickened fascia
may also press down on the nerves and cause discomfort. There
are a variety of reasons why fascias shorten or stick together, such
as a lack of movement, protective postures or psychological stress.
How does the Fascia-ReleaZer
®
work?
If fascia tissue has become stuck together or hardened, you can
improve its suppleness and elasticity by alternately applying pressure

and tension. By using the Fascia-ReleaZer®as a self-help device,
you can positively stimulate these receptors in your tissue. This will
increase and speed up the regenerative capacity of the tissue.
Your blood supply will also be improved and your nerves will function
better. The stimulation from the Fascia-ReleaZer
®
allows new nutri-
ents to reach the cells and makes it easier to transport away waste.
In this way, the tissue is replaced and the elasticity and resilience of
the tissue in the treated area are improved.

Another way to boost the elasticity of the tissue is with the vibration
massage, which relaxes the muscles. This reduces stiffness, which
in turn improves your movement.
The massage treatment must feel pleasant at all times. A slight hema-
toma may well occur – this is a positive therapeutic effect as the use
of the Fascia-ReleaZer
®
can selectively encourage your blood flow.

In isolated cases areas of redness may also occur on the skin. If you
experience excessive skin irritation, stop using the
Fascia-ReleaZer
®
and consult a doctor.

4. Before First Use
Before using the Fascia-ReleaZer
®
for the first time, charge it for at
least 2½ hours as follows:
1 . Connect the USB power cord to the AC Adapter and to the micro
USB port on the end of the Fascia-ReleaZer
®
(Figure 1). Plug the
AC adapter into an electrical outlet. Alternatively, you can con-
nect the power cord to a USB port on your computer or laptop
(Figure 2).
2 . While charging, the Power Button flashes yellow. When the
Fascia-ReleaZer
®
is fully charged, the Power Button will change
to solid yellow. The device will operate for about 11 hours on a
full charge. Charge the Fascia-ReleaZer
®
whenever the Power
Button flashes red.

Preparing for Use:
You can use the device with or without plant-based massage oil. If
you have thick body hair, using massage oil will yield better results
but we recommend using the device on smooth, hair-free skin when-
ever possible. Do not use any oils or creams with a strong cooling
or heating effect, as they may cause skin irritation.

5. To Use
NOTICE
Only use plant-based oils as other oils may stain or damage the
wooden finish.
Treatment without massage oil: (if you have little or no
body hair)
A massage treatment without massage oil provides a surface mas-
sage, which activates the reflex zones and treats the surface of
the tissue.
Treatment with massage oil: (recommended if you have
thick body hair or if you would like a deep massage)
When using massage oils, the massage will penetrate deep into
the tissue, increasing blood circulation in the treatment area.
1 . Put a couple of drops of plant-based oil in the palm of your
hand.
2 . Rub the plant-based oil evenly over the area you wish to mas-
sage. Before starting the massage treatment, wipe your hands
with a soft cloth to prevent them from slipping during the treat-
ment and to prevent damage to the silicone handles.
3 . After treatment, wipe the wooden surface of the Fascia-
ReleaZer
®
and the treated body area with a soft, clean cloth.

The amount of oil to be used depends on the effect you want. More
oil causes faster vibration and therefore a more intensive reflex
action and blood circulation. Less oil causes a slower treatment
that penetrates deeper, with a very relaxing effect that loosens
the tissue.
It is also possible to combine the two. To do so, apply a larger
amount of oil onto the area to be treated and move the Fascia-
ReleaZer
®
over the area quickly. Then wipe off some of the oil with
a cloth and treat the same area again, but this time with slower
movements.
NOTE
Do not use the massage device right before going to bed.
The massage can have a stimulating effect and may make it
difficult to fall asleep.

can be used statically (targeted application)
or dynamically (moving application).
Static application:
This method loosens specific areas of hardness. Press down evenly
on the same spot approx. 3 times in succession.
Dynamic application:
The movement smooths out the fascias. Moving the device quickly
forwards and backwards provides a surface massage for the upper
tissue. Moving the device more slowly allows the massage effect
to penetrate deeper.
Avoid striking the device against the treatment area as this may
result in hematoma.

Treatment surfaces:
We recommend starting the massage treatment with one of the two
different convex treatment surfaces. After approx. one week, the
massage treatment can be continued with both edges. The edges
penetrate deep into the tissue and provide a deep massage treat-
ment.
6. Exercises
NOTE
We recommend treating each area (lower body, midsection,
and upper body) three times a week for 15 minutes each. Ide-
ally, you should treat all three areas during the same treatment
but you may choose to focus on one. After each massage
treatment, wipe down the Fascia-ReleaZer
®
with a dry cloth,
ensuring all traces of oil are removed.

7. Care and Storage
WARNING
• Disconnect the device before cleaning it.
• Only clean the appliance in the manner specified. Ensure
no fluids enter the device or accessories.
• Do not use the device until it is completely dry.
• Protect the Fascia-ReleaZer
®
and the attachments from
knocks, dust, chemicals, drastic changes in temperature,
electromagnetic fields and nearby sources of heat (ovens,
heaters).
Cleaning
Unplug the device and allow it to cool before cleaning it with a damp
cloth and, if necessary, a mild detergent.
Storage
Keep the massage device in a cool and dry place where it is out of
the reach of children, preferably in its original packaging.
