WARNING To reduce the risk of serious personal injury:

• Do not step on the edge of the scale (e.g. when getting on or off), otherwise it may tip.
• Do not jump on the scale.
• Do not drop the scale or drop any objects on it.
• Do not step or stand on the scale when your body and/or feet are wet, for example after taking
a bath or shower. There is a danger of slipping.
• Do not step on the scale when its surface is wet. There is a danger of slipping.
• Do not use the unit on slippery surfaces such as wet floors. There is a danger of slipping.
• This product does not and is not intended to provide a medical diagnosis.

• Consult your physician or healthcare provider before beginning a weight reduction or exercise
program.
• Always consult your physician to determine what will be suitable for you.
• People with disabilities, such as impairments, activity limitations, and participation restrictions,

• Do not step on the scale if you weigh more than 400 lb (180 kg/28 st). When in doubt contact
your physician.
• Do not weigh more than one person on the scale at one time.
• Do not use this product for any purpose other than weighing human beings.
• Place the scale on level flooring, otherwise it may tip.
• If the glass platform is damaged, there could be risk of danger or injuries caused by broken glass.
CAUTION: To prevent personal injury and/or product/property damage:

This unit is intended for home use only. It is not intended for professional use in hospitals or
other medical facilities. This unit does not support the standards required for professional use.

Please note that technically related measuring tolerances are possible, as the scale is not cali-
brated for professional applications.
•
Carefully step on the scale surface. Pay attention to avoid stepping with your toes under the scale
surface. This might lead to injuries.
•
Do not disassemble this unit.
•
Do not put your fingers in any slot, inside or under the scale.
NOTICE:
• Protect the scale against hard knocks, moisture, dust, chemicals, major temperature fluctuations
and heat sources which are too close (e.g. stoves, heating radiators). This may damage the unit.
Please see section 5 ‘Care and Maintenance’ and section 8 'Specifications' for details.
• Prevent impact with hard objects.
• Do not use any aggressive solvents, cleaning agents, detergents or any other strong chemicals
to clean the device.
• Never immerse and/or spill water or any other liquid onto the scale, otherwise liquid will enter
the scale and cause damage.
• Make sure that you enter the desired unit of mass regarding the weight results.
• Do not wash the scale in a washing machine, dish washer or tumble dryer.
• Do not use mobile telephones, microwaves, and other devices which generate strong electrical
or electromagnetic fields near the unit. This may result in incorrect operation of the unit.
• Never attempt to repair the instrument or adjust it yourself. This may damage the unit and
impair the functions. If you need to have the unit repaired, please contact our customer service.
Please see warranty for service contact. Before submitting any complaint, first check the
battery and replace it if necessary.
• Changes or modifications to the device will nullify the user warranty.

BATTERY SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
•Useonlythesizeandtypeofbatteriesspecified.
•Besuretofollowthecorrectpolaritywheninstallingthebatteries.Reversedbatteriesmaycause
damage to the device.
•Donotmixdifferenttypesofbatteriestogether(e.g.AlkalineandCarbon-zinc)oroldbatterieswithfresh
ones. Always replace batteries as a simultaneous set.
•Ifthebatteriesinthedevicearedepletedorthedevicewillnotbeusedforalongperiodoftime,remove
the batteries to prevent damage or injury from possible battery leakage.
•Donottrytorechargebatteriesnotintendedtoberecharged;theycanoverheatandrupture
(follow battery manufacturer’s directions.)
•Donotdisposeofbatteriesinfire,batteriesmayexplodeorleak.
•Cleanthebatterycontactsandalsothoseofthedevicepriortobatteryinstallation.
•Removedischargedbatteriesfromtheproductanddispose/recycleincompliancewithallapplicable
laws.
•Keepbatteriesawayfromchildrenandpets.Batteriesmaybeharmfulifswallowed.Shouldachildor
pet swallow a battery, seek medical assistance immediately.

RemovetheBatteryCompartmentCoverlocatedunderneaththescaleandinsertthree'AAA'sizebatter-
ies(included)accordingtothepolaritymarkingsinsidethecompartment.ReplaceBatteryCompartment
Cover.When'Lo' appears in the LED Display, the batteries need to be replaced.

1.PresstheUnitSelectorButton,locatedunderneaththescale,toshow'lb'(pounds),'kg'(kilograms),or
'st'(stones)intheLEDDisplay.Resultsareshowninincrementsof0.2lb(0.1kg/0st:1lb)
2. Place the scale on a flat, hard, and level surface to ensure accurate measurement.
3.Carefullystepontothescale.
4. Stand still and distribute your weight evenly on both feet.
5.Afterafewseconds,thescalewillstabilizeandyourweightwillflashontheLEDDisplay.Stepoffthe
scale;theLEDDisplaywillshutoffafterafewseconds.

lean the scale with a damp cloth and a mild detergent. Do not immerse the scale in water or rinse it
under running water.
