uNote the mains voltage! The voltage of the power source
must match the voltage specified on the rating plate of
the charger. Chargers marked with 230V can also be op-
erated with 220V.
Note: The battery is supplied partially charged. To ensure
the maximum performance of the battery, use the charger to
fully charge the battery before first use.
The lithium-ion battery can be charged at any time without
reducing its service life. Interrupting the charging process
does not damage the battery.
The Li-ion battery is protected against deep discharge. A
protective circuit switches the glue gun off when the battery
is drained, meaning the adhesive is no longer being heated.
If the battery charge indicator(8) flashes red, the battery
has less than 30% capacity and should be charged. When
the battery is fully charged, the battery charge indicator is
continuously lit red.
To charge the battery, connect the Micro-USB con-
nector(10) of the charging cable(11) to the charging
socket(9) and the USB charging connector(12) to the char-
ger(13). Then plug the mains cable of the charger into the
mains socket.
The battery charge indicator(8) will flash green during the
charging process. When the charging process is complete,
the battery charge indicator will be continuously lit green.
Unplug the charger from the mains.
The glue gun cannot be used during the charging process.
The lack of function during the charging process does not
mean that the tool is defective.
uProtect the charger from moisture.
Operation
Start-up
Switching On and Off
To switch on the glue gun, press and hold the on/off but-
ton(7) until the heating indicator(6) lights up green.
The heating indicator(6) will flash while the tool is heating
up. Once it is continuously lit, the glue gun is ready to use.
To switch off the glue gun, press and hold the on/off but-
ton(7) until the heating indicator(6) goes out.
Note: If the glue gun is not used for longer than five minutes,
it will switch off automatically to save energy.
When switching on again, check the battery charge indic-
ator(8): If it lights up red, the battery needs to be charged.
uSafely place the glue gun down after use and let it cool
completely before packing it away. The hot nozzle can
cause damage.
Practical advice
uKeep people and animals away from the hot adhesive
and the nozzle tip. Adhesive and nozzle tip will heat up to
170°C, posing a risk of burns. If hot adhesive comes into
contact with skin, immediately hold the affected area un-
der a stream of cold water for several minutes. Do not try
to remove the hot adhesive from the skin.
Only use adhesives that have been recommended by the
manufacturer of the glue gun.
Adhesive bonds can become unstuck when they are affected
by moisture.
Preparing for gluing
The bonding locations must be clean, dry and free from
grease.
The materials to be glued together and the work surface
must not be easily ignited or flammable.
Test whether heat-sensitive materials are suitable before-
hand on a sample workpiece.
The ambient temperature and the workpieces to be glued
must not be colder than +5°C and not warmer than +50°C.
Materials that cool the adhesive down quickly should be
warmed first with a hot air gun.
Gluing
Push the glue stick(4) suited to the material into the glue
stick compartment(5).
Switch on the glue gun and allow it to heat up. The heating
indicator (6) will flash during heating.
Once the heating indicator (6) is continuously lit, the glue
gun is ready to use.
Apply moderate pressure to the feed trigger(3).
Apply the adhesive to a single side.
Press the materials you wish to glue together against each
other for around 10 to 30 seconds immediately after apply-
ing the adhesive. It is still possible to correct the bonding
location at this point.
The bond is stable after approx. two minutes of cooling time.
