Instructions for use:
Brother LC123 Cartridges - See Page 2 on Fittings Enclosed with your cartridges
We remove the air bungs which reveal your air vent before you receive your cartridges. This is to avoid
mistakes, as leaving these in the cartridges will prevent ink being released.
If we have supplied you the cartridges with the clear rubber bungs inserted, please remove them.
For First Use
1 Remove co oured stoppers and fi with ink
2. P ace a cartridges in your printer in the order that your printer requests.
3. Ensure that a cartridges are c icked firm y in p ace.
4. Run head c eaning uti ty to charge the cartridges.
5. If the cartridges do not recognise immediate y,
a. Remove cartridges from your printer
b. Switch printer off/remove power ead and USB ead for approx 2 minutes.
c. P ug the power ead and USB ead back in the printer and switch printer back on
d. P ace refi ab e cartridges in your printer in the order hat your printer requests.
e. If you experience broken ines in your printing
pu out co oured stoppers to re ease va ve,
rep ace when prob em c ears.
(You may need to repeat this process to reset the printer
firmware after re-fillin your cartrid es)

1. Remove cartridge from printer
2. Remove co oured stoppers from cartridge, and re-fi
3. P ace cartridge in printer and run head c ean uti ity.
4. Only refill the cartridge that the printer has advised is empty,
to refi a cartridges may confuse your printer firmware.
(If this happens repeat steps b to d)
Notes, Tips & Tricks
1. P ease monitor your ink eve s in your cartridges as it is not possib e for the printer uti ity program
to show the exact vo ume of ink in the cartridges as the firmware is set to recognise sing e use on y cartridges.
2. P ease ensure that you print using the paper settings for matte/inkjet or g oss and set to high qua ity.
We wou d suggest you use these settings even when you are printing on PLAIN paper.
3. To c ear a minor b ocked head, try printing our test sheet which can be found on www.printingbuddy.co.uk
