B’TWIN E-FOLD 500

Dear cuomers.
Thank you for buying a B’TWIN electric-assied bike.
Please read the inruction manual so you can really get the mo out of your B’TWIN E-FOLD
500 bike.
Remember that an electric-assied bike is not a moped and your input is required to make it
go further, faer and for longer.
We sugge that you learn how to use your electric-assied bike in an open area in order to
get used to the feel of the motor kicking in and ensure optimum control when riding.
An electric-assied bicycle is heavier than a conventional bicycle (weight of the B’TWIN
E-FOLD 500 without rider is 21.4 kg). Pedalling without assiance can be more dicult.
You mu always ensure you are capable of completing the entire journey without using the
pedal-assi, in case of breakdown.
Here are some recommended biking practices to ensure you really get the mo out of your
B’TWIN E-FOLD 500 bike.
Please note, these inructions only refer to the bike’s electric features.
For other features, common to all our bikes, you need to refer to the B’TWIN user
manual which accompanies this document and is also available on our website
www.supportdecathlon.com or on reque from our DECATHLON ores.

Pedal-assi mode overview
- The electric-assied bicycle can be used with or without assiance by pressing the ON/OFF button and playing around with the ECO -
NORMAL - BOOST modes. The ECO - NORMAL - BOOST pedal-assi modes, which you can select in the «D» screen, let you choose
a level of electrical assiance in addition to the eort provided. The electrical assiance will only work if you pedal with the screen on
and one of the 3 modes is selected. Assiance cuts out if the bike is travelling in excess of 25 km/h (+/-10%). During intensive use and in
exceptional weather conditions, the pedal-assi mode may cut out to safeguard the syem. The power supplied is calculated by control-
ler «B» according to the mode selected. Depending on the mode selected, the controller «B» regulates the amount of current sent to the
motor «G,» providing you with the required level of assiance.
Pedal-assi mode does not activate or shuts down in the following situations:
- Your speed is above 25km/h (+/-10%)
- You’re not pedalling
- The battery has insucient remaining charge.
- When the control panel is turned o, unplugged or no mode is selected.
- During intensive use and in exceptional weather conditions the pedal-assi mode may cut out to safeguard the syem
