on 2 wheels for your leisure, it will be the mo󰘵 practical and economical way for you to get around in
town and will allow you to burn calories to keep 󰘰t.
We invite you to read this in󰘵ruction manual to get the mo󰘵 out of your B’TWIN electrically-assi󰘵ed
bike.
Never forget that an electrically-assi󰘵ed bike is not a moped. It needs your help to go further, fa󰘵er and
longer.
We sugge󰘵 that you learn how to use your electrically-assi󰘵ed bike in an open area in order to get used
to the feel of the motor kicking in and thus ensure optimum control of your bicycle.
Only use sport mode for your 󰘰r󰘵 kilometres if you are sure that you are able to control your bike.
Here are the 10 commandments to get the be󰘵 use of your B’TWIN electrically-assi󰘵ed bicycle.
Electrically assi󰘵ed bicycles are heavier than classic pushbikes. Without assi󰘵ance, pedalling can be
harder.
You mu󰘵 always make sure you are capable of riding the entire journey without assi󰘵ance, in case your
battery runs 󰘱at.
Important, this in󰄋ruction manual only applies to the electrical characteri󰄋ics of your bicycle.
You mu󰄋 refer to the B’TWIN user guide and warranty in󰄋ructions that are shared by all of our
bikes and which are provided with this document. They can also be found on our website at

General operation of the electrical assi󰄋ance
The electrically-assi󰘵ed bike can be used with or without assi󰘵ance by pressing the ON/OFF button. Always lock the battery with the key when in use. The
electrical assi󰘵ance will only operate if you pedal. The assi󰘵ance will switch o󰘯 the moment either of the two brake levers is depressed or the speed reaches
more than 25 km/h. It will then re󰘵art automatically when below 23 km/h. In order to preserve battery life, the bike is equipped with a «power» limiter that li-
mits assi󰘵ance when the motor is under heavy 󰘵rain. During intensive use and in exceptional weather conditions, the assi󰘵ance may switch o󰘯 to safeguard
the entire sy󰘵em.

»0» no power assi󰘵ance.
»1» is the default power assi󰘵ance mode.
Each mode corresponds to the maximum assi󰘵ance speeds set out below:

Switch to «walk assi󰘵» mode by holding the button down for a few seconds.
4»-» button:
Step down to the lower assi󰘵ance mode

Lighting button
The lighting on the bicycle can be switched on and o󰘯 by brie󰘱y pressing the button
Go to the settings by holding the button down for a few seconds
6Speed indicator**

»Walk assi󰄋» mode:
For walking beside the bicycle in walk assi󰘵 mode, up to 6 km/h, without pedalling. Please note that this mode should not be
used when riding the bicycle

ODO: Records the total di󰘵ance travelled. It cannot be reset to zero.
TRIP: Records the partial di󰘵ance travelled. It can be reset to zero by pressing the «-» button for 10 seconds.
TRIPtoGO: Remaining di󰘵ance that may be covered with the power assi󰘵ance mode.
This is automatically displayed on the control screen.

BATTERY AND CHARGER
All our electric bike batteries use lithium-ion technology and are not subject to the memory e󰘯ect. Recharging the battery after each use is recommended.
Charge the battery to 100% prior to its 󰄈r󰄋 use.

Your battery is guaranteed for up to 500 charging and discharging cycles (1 cycle = 1 charge and discharge) subject to compliance with the conditions of
correct usage and 󰘵orage.

Hold the «Lighting» button down for a few seconds to enter or quit the settings
Brie󰘱y press the «Lighting» button to display the di󰘯erent settings
Brie󰘱y press the «+» and «-» buttons to display the di󰘯erent adju󰘵ments.
SET 1: Indication of the maximum power assi󰘵ance speed. This setting cannot be adju󰘵ed. SET 2: Adju󰘵ment of the circumfe-
rence of the wheels.
SET 2 : Regulation of the circumference of wheels.
SET 3: Choice of units (km/h or mph)
SET 9: Information on the battery (charge percentage, voltage, number of charging/discharging cycles

Your battery can be completely charged and drained 500 times. Hereafter, the capacity and autonomy of the
battery is reduced.
Always make sure that the battery and charger are compatible.

In󰄋alling and removing the battery
Insertion:
Prior to inserting your battery into its slot, unlock it using the key and check that there are no foreign objects or matter in the battery sheath. Then turn on
the power switch.
Removal:
Prior to removing your battery from its slot, unlock it using the key. Toggle o󰘯 the power switch. Then remove your battery by pulling it.
Important notes:
Do not attempt to insert or remove your battery when the lock is locked (vertical position). You risk breaking the security lock on your battery.
