of travelling on 2 wheels for your leisure, it will be the mo󰘵 practical and economical way for
you to get around in town and will allow you to burn calories to keep 󰘰t.
We invite you to read this in󰘵ruction manual to get the mo󰘵 out of your B’TWIN electrical-
ly-assi󰘵ed bike.
Never forget that an electrically-assi󰘵ed bike is not a moped. It needs your help to go further,
fa󰘵er and longer.
We sugge󰘵 that you learn how to use your electrically-assi󰘵ed bike in an open area in order
to get used to the feel of the motor kicking in and thus ensure optimum control of your bicycle.
Only use sport mode for your 󰘰r󰘵 kilometres if you are sure that you are able to control your
bike.
Here are the 10 commandments to get the be󰘵 use of your B’TWIN electrically-assi󰘵ed
bicycle.
Electrically assi󰘵ed bicycles are heavier than classic pushbikes. Without assi󰘵ance, pedal-
ling can be harder.
You mu󰘵 always make sure you are capable of riding the entire journey without assi󰘵ance,
in case your battery runs 󰘱at.
Important, this in󰄋ruction manual only applies to the electrical characteri󰄋ics of
your bicycle.
You should refer to the B’TWIN user manuals common to all our bicycles that ac-
company this document and are also available on our website www.btwin.com or on
reque󰄋 in our DECATHLON 󰄋ores.

General operation of the electrical assi󰄋ance
The electrically-assi󰘵ed bike can be used with or without assi󰘵ance by pressing the ON/OFF button. Always
lock the battery with the key when in use. The electrical assi󰘵ance will only operate if you pedal. The assis-
tance will switch o󰘯 the moment either of the two brake levers is depressed or the speed reaches more than
25 km/h. It will then re󰘵art automatically when below 23 km/h. In order to preserve battery life, the bike is
equipped with a «power» limiter that limits assi󰘵ance when the motor is under heavy 󰘵rain. During intensive
use and in exceptional weather conditions, the assi󰘵ance may switch o󰘯 to safeguard the entire sy󰘵em.

BATTERY AND CHARGER
All our electric bike batteries use lithium-ion technology and are not subject to the memory e󰘯ect.
Recharging the battery after each use is recommended.
Charge the battery to 100% prior to its 󰄈r󰄋 use.

Your battery is guaranteed for 2 years or 500 charging and discharging cycles (1 cycle = 1 charge from 0% to
100% + 1 discharge from 100% to 0%) subject to compliance with the proper conditions of use and 󰘵orage.

In󰄋alling and removing the battery
Insertion:
Prior to inserting your battery into its slot, unlock it
using the key and check that there are no foreign
objects or matter in the battery sheath.
Removal:
Prior to removing your battery from its slot, unlock it
by lifting the loop of the battery.
Important notes:
Do not attempt to insert or remove your battery
when the loop is lowered (vertical position). You
risk breaking the security lock on your battery.

Recharging the Battery
The LED is red as charging 󰘵arts.
Green LED when charging is complete. LED 󰘱ashes red, charging problem,
contact the after-sales service.
Maintenance and lifetime (warranty conditions)
Do not 󰘵ore the discharged battery to prevent deep discharge that may
cause malfunction.

In cases of extended 󰘵orage, recharge the battery once every 3 months.

Additional precautions for use
Always carry out maintenance operations in su󰘲cient light.
Warning, in the event of wheel removal, you mu󰘵 ensure the direction
of rotation of your wheel is correct.
Before each use you mu󰘵 make sure that your brakes and electric
sy󰘵em are working properly
The weight, power, manufacturing year and maximum speed are indi-
cated on your bicycle’s frame.
As the weight of your bike with electric assi󰘵ance exceeds 15kg, we
recommend that 2 persons transport it.
Always wear a helmet when riding your bike.
These electric bikes are designed for persons aged 14 and over.
Caution: in rain, fro󰘵, or snow, you may have less tyre traction.

The bicycle mu󰘵 be parked with its kick󰘵and on 󰘱at, 󰘵able ground or
using a parking device.
Maintenance
Warning - the maintenance of electrical components requires special
skills and is not carried in 󰘵ores but in Decathlon regional workshops
and can take several days.
All cleaning and electrical or mechanical maintenance mu󰘵 be carried
out with the power switched o󰘯 and the battery removed from the bike!
Maintenance operations speci󰘰c to the electric sy󰘵em mu󰘵 be perfor-
med by trained, quali󰘰ed 󰘵a󰘯. If the chain comes o󰘯, turn the power o󰘯
before attempting any repairs.
NB: the weight of the bicycle may exceed that of your assembly 󰘵and
or bicycle rack.
6 months
We advise you to bring your electrically-assi󰘵ed bike back to your
DECATHLON 󰘵ore for its 6-month service.
For more information on use, maintenance, after-sales services or in

decathlon.fr or visit a DECATHLON 󰘵ore.
Prohibited: cleaning using a high-pressure jet.
Not recommended: cleaning under running water.
Recommended: cleaning using a damp sponge.

The rims are subject to wear which mu󰘵 be checked to ensure they are
intact.
The motorised wheel is also subject to higher 󰘵ress than a 󰘵andard
bike wheel, and although it is reinforced, it is possible that spokes may
break. If a spoke breaks, contact your DECATHLON 󰘵ore.
If the bike or battery su󰘯ers a fall, check that your battery is intact.
Caution: the watertightness of your battery is no longer guaranteed
following a fall.

CONTENTS OF THE COMMERCIAL WARRANTY FOR YOUR ELECTRI-
CALLY-ASSISTED BIKE
Please ensure that you keep your invoice as proof of purchase.
The bicyle has a lifelong guarantee on the 󰘵ructural components (frame, handlebar 󰘵em, handlebar and saddle-pillar), 2 years on
parts subject to normal wear and tear.
The warranty does not cover damage resulting from misuse, from a failure to respect the precautions for use, from accidents, from
improper use or from commercial use of the bike.
This bike is for personal use only and not for professional use.
The warranty does not cover damage resulting from repairs carried out by persons not authorised by Decathlon.
Each electronic component is permanently sealed. Opening one of these components (battery, battery sheath, controller, screen,
motor) may cause physical injury to persons or damage to the sy󰘵em. Opening or modifying a component in the sy󰘵em will void the
warranty for the bike. The warranty does not cover cracked or broken screens showing visible signs of impacts.
FURTHER DETAILS REGARDING THE LIFETIME WARRANTY ON B’twin BIKES, purchased as of 1 June 2013.
B’twin brand bikes are products designed to provide complete satisfaction to their users. For this reason,
B’twin wishes to commit to the quality and durability of its bikes.
Within this context, B’twin o󰘯ers its clients a lifetime warranty which exclusively covers the following noncarbon parts: frames, rigid
forks (non-suspension forks), handlebars and 󰘵ems 󰘰tted to B’twin brand bikes. This warranty begins on the date of purchase of (a)
B’twin brand bike(s).
It is speci󰘰ed that, for the lifetime warranty to be valid, the buyer mu󰘵:
either have a DECATHLON 󰘵ore loyalty card and regi󰘵er his/her purchase on it at the time of checkout,
or complete the warranty certi󰘰cate available online on the www.btwin.com site within one month of the purchase date. During this re-
gi󰘵ration, the buyer mu󰘵 provide the following information: la󰘵 name, 󰘰r󰘵 name, purchase date, e-mail address, and bicycle tracking
number.
By virtue of this warranty, B’twin o󰘯ers either the replacement by an equivalent of the frame, rigid fork, handlebars or 󰘵em, or their
repair, within a reasonable time period, after being brought to a DECATHLON retail 󰘵ore repair shop. It is speci󰘰ed that travel and
transportation co󰘵s remain the responsibility of the cu󰘵omer.
However, this contractual obligation will not apply in the event of poor maintenance or misuse of B’twin bikes, as de󰘰ned in the user
manual of the product in que󰘵ion.
To bene󰘰t from the warranty covering one of the parts li󰘵ed above, you mu󰘵 simply visit the repair shop of a DECATHLON retail
󰘵ore, bringing either your DECATHLON 󰘵ore loyalty card or your warranty certi󰘰cate with you.
B’twin reserves the right to verify that all conditions of the lifetime warranty have been met and to implement all due necessary mea-
sures to verify this.
It is also speci󰘰ed that the lifetime warranty does not exclude the application of the legal guarantee(s) provided for under the French
Consumer Code (Code de la consommation) and Civil Code (Code civil), namely:
Article L. 211-4 of the Consumer Code: «The seller mu󰘵 deliver goods in conformity with the contract and take responsibility for any
lack of conformity present at the time of delivery. The seller is also held liable for any lack of conformity caused by the packaging, the
assembly in󰘵ructions or the in󰘵allation if he/she was made responsible for the latter under the contract or if it was conducted under
his/her responsibility».
Article L. 211-5 of the Consumer Code: «To be compliant with the contract, goods mu󰘵:
Be suitable for the use normally expected for similar goods and, if necessary:
match the description provided by the seller and possess the qualities that he/she presented to the buyer in the form of a sample or a
model;
display the qualities that a buyer can legitimately expect in view of public 󰘵atements made by the seller, the producer, or his/her
representative, notably in advertising or labelling;
Or display the features de󰘰ned by a mutual agreement between the parties or be suitable for any special use sought by the buyer,
made known to, and agreed upon by, the seller».
Article L. 211-12 of the Consumer Code: «Legal action prompted by lack of conformity lapses two years after the date of delivery of
the goods.»
Article 1641 of the Civil Code: «The seller is bound to the warranty on account of hidden defects of the item sold which render it un󰘰t
for the use for which it was intended, or which so impair that use that the buyer would not have acquired it, or would only have paid a
lesser price for it, had he/she been aware of them.
Article 1648 paragraph 1 of the Civil Code: «Legal action prompted by unacceptable defects mu󰘵 be brought by the buyer within a
period of two years from the date of discovery of the defect».
