This extraordinary printer ties in the new 12-color pigment
ink system with LUCIA ink and innovative hardware to produce

The combination of speed and quality is achieved with two
of Canon’s latest technological achievements—the L-COA
controller and the dual print-head system.
Multiple media-handling options in the iPF5000 device bring a
new dimension to the 17-inch printer market—productivity. The
ability to choose between paper types—without having to touch
the printer—coupled with large ink tanks provide for an
enhanced component in digital printing. The included software
programs add to the iPF5000 device’s uniqueness by providing
an "out-of-the-box" printing solution that can be utilized by all
types of digital printers. The iPF5000 device is the result of

AMAZING COLOR
The iPF5000 features Canon’s newly developed 12-color pigment
ink system with LUCIA ink that produces a wide color gamut to
expand the range of color reproduction. The expansive color
space produces brilliant color that accurately matches the image
captured with fine precise detail. The two levels of gray provide a
crisp monotone output that surpasses expectations. Also, the
utilization of automatic switching between regular black and
matte black eliminates the wasted ink and time spent swapping
out ink tanks.
EXCEPTIONAL SPEED
Engineered for speed and advanced image production, the
iPF5000 model boasts Canon’s new L-COA controller and a dual
print-head system with FINE technology. The L-COA print con-
troller intelligently processes print data and directs the two high-
precision, high-density (30,720 nozzles total) print heads to lay
down ink with extraordinary speed and accuracy.
MEDIA VERSATILITY AND PRODUCTIVITY
The multiple media-handling options for this printer are not
just versatile, but extremely user-friendly. The printer has a
standard media cassette tray, a rear manual feed, a front
straight path manual feed to handle media up to 1.5mm
thick, and an optional roll feed unit for printing long-length
output such as murals or banners.

the roll feed and cassette tray keep the workflow speed on
par with the printer.
