Enginetampering
Thefuelsystem,exhaustafter-treatmentsystem,anden-
gineonyourmachinearedesignedandbuilttogovern-
mentemissionsstandards.Tamperingbydealers,cus-
tomers,operators,andusersisstrictlyprohibitedbylaw.
Failuretocomplycouldresultingovernmentnes,rework
charges,invalidwarranty,legalaction,andpossiblecon-
scationofthemachineuntilreworktooriginalcondition
iscompleted.Engineserviceand/orrepairsmustbedone
byacertiedtechnicianonly!
Tractorintendeduse
Magnumseriestractorswithstandardequipmentand
authorizedattachments,areintendedtobeusedfor
customaryfarming,landlevelingandrelatedagriculture
operations(intendeduse).Installationofutility(dozer)
blades,tileplows,orpushbarsonthetractorisnot
recommended.Anytractordamageresultingfromthe
installationand/oruseofsuchequipmentisnotcovered
bythetractorwarranty.
ConsultanauthorizeddealerorCNHAmericaLLCon
changes,additionsormodicationsthatcanberequired
forthismachinetocomplywithvariousregulationsand
safetyrequirements.Unauthorizedmodicationswill
causeseriousinjuryordeath.Anyonemakingsuch
unauthorizedmodicationsisresponsiblefortheconse-
quences.
Thetractorisnotdesignedforlight/heavyforestryappli-
cations;usageisprohibitedforforestryapplications.
Thetractorisnotdesignedforfrontendloaderoperation.

ThismachinecompliesstrictlywiththeEuropeanRegulationsonelectro‐magneticemissions.However,interference
mayariseasaresultofadd‐onequipmentwhichmaynotnecessarilymeettherequiredstandards.Assuchinterfer-
encecanresultinseriousmalfunctionoftheunitand/orcreateunsafesituations,youmustobservethefollowing:
•Ensurethateachpieceofnon‐CASEIHequipmentinstalledonthemachinebearstheCEmark.
•Themaximumpowerofemissionequipment(radio,telephones,etc.)mustnotexceedthelimitsimposedbythe
nationalauthoritiesofthecountrywhereyouusethemachine.
•Theelectro‐magneticeldgeneratedbytheadd‐onsystemshouldnotexceed24
V/matanytimeandatanylo-
cationintheproximityofelectroniccomponents.
FailuretocomplywiththeseruleswillrendertheCASEIHwarrantynullandvoid.

ingandrepairstobecarriedoutbyprofessionalservice
personnel.Forsomeofthelatteractivities,theremaybe
aneedforappropriatefacilities,technicalskills,and/or
toolswhicharenotsuppliedwiththemachine.

Scopeandrequiredtraininglevel
ThismanualgivesinformationforuseofyourCASEIH
machine,asintendedandundertheconditionsforeseen

Routineserviceandmaintenanceconsistsofactivities
thatmustbedonedailyinordertomaintainitsproper
functionbyanoperatorthatis
•FamiliarwithCASEIHmachinecharacteristics
•Complyingwiththeinformationforroutineserviceand
safepractices,asspeciedbythemanufacturerinthis
manualandbythesignsontheCASEIHmachine.
Routineserviceincludesactivitiessuchasfueling,
cleaning,washing,toppingupuidlevels,greasing,
andreplacingconsumablearticlessuchaslampbulbs.
Thismanualdoesnotcontainalltheinformationrelated
toperiodicalservice,convertingandrepairstobecarried
outbyCASEIHprofessionalservicepersonnel.Forsome
ofthelatteractivities,theremaybeaneedforappropriate
facilities,technicalskills,and/ortoolswhicharenotsup-
pliedwiththeCASEIHmachine.
Periodicalserviceconsistsofactivitiesthatmustbe
doneatdenedintervals:

transmission,orothersubstancesorcomponentsthat
needperiodicalexchange.

CASEIHmachinecharacteristics
•Complyingwiththeinformationforconverting,aspartly
speciedbythemanufacturerinthismanual,inassem-
blyinstructions,orinothercompanyliterature
•InordertorebuildtheCASEIHmachineinacong-
urationwhichisappropriateforaspeciccroporsoil
condition(e.g.,installationofdualwheelsetc.)
Repair(anddismantling)consistsofactivitiesthatmust
bedone:
•Byprofessionalservicepersonnelfamiliarwiththe
CASEIHmachinecharacteristics
•Complyingwiththeinformationforrepair,asspecied
bythemanufacturerintheCASEIHdealer’sservice
manual.
•InordertorestoretheproperfunctionoftheCASEIH
machineafterafailureordegradationofperformance
whenscrappingordismantlingtheCASEIHmachine.

thisCASEIHmachine.Ifanyinformationinthismanual
isnotunderstood,orifyouneedmoreinformationoras-
sistance,contactyourCASEIHdealer.
Allpersonstrainingtooperate,orwhowillbeoperating
