Cleaningthemachine
Whenusingahighpressurewasher,donotstandtoo
closetothemachineandavoiddirectingthejetatelec-
troniccomponents,electricalconnections,breathers,
seals,llernecks,etc.Neverdirectacoldwaterjetata
hotengineorexhaust.
Failuretocomplywiththeseruleswillrenderthewarranty
nullandvoid.

toensureyoursafetyandthesafetyofothers.Readthe
safetyprecautionsandfollowtheadviceofferedbefore
operatingthemachine.

andlifeingeneral.Whenlegislationdoesnotyetrulethe
treatmentofsomeofthesubstancesthatadvancedtech-
nologyrequires,soundjudgmentshouldgoverntheuse
anddisposalofproductsofachemicalandpetrochemical
nature.
Familiarizeyourselfwiththerelativelegislationapplica-
bletoyourcountry,andmakesurethatyouunderstand
thislegislation.Wherenolegislationexists,obtainin-
formationfromsuppliersofoils,lters,batteries,fuels,
anti-freeze,cleaningagents,etc.,withregardtotheef-
fectofthesesubstancesonmanandnatureandhowto
safelystore,use,anddisposeofthesesubstances.Your
CASEIHdealercanalsoprovideassistance.
Helpfulhints
•Avoidtheuseofcansorotherinappropriatepressur-
izedfueldeliverysystemstolltanks.Suchdelivery
systemsmaycauseconsiderablespillage.
•Ingeneral,avoidskincontactwithallfuels,oils,acids,
solvents,etc.Mostoftheseproductscontainsub-
stancesthatmaybeharmfultoyourhealth.
•Modernoilscontainadditives.Donotburncontami-
natedfuelsandorwasteoilsinordinaryheatingsys-
tems.
•Avoidspillagewhenyoudrainuidssuchasuseden-
ginecoolantmixtures,engineoil,hydraulicuid,brake
uid,etc.Donotmixdrainedbrakeuidsorfuelswith
lubricants.Storealldraineduidssafelyuntilyoucan
disposeoftheuidsinaproperwaythatcomplieswith
alllocallegislationandavailableresources.
•Donotallowcoolantmixturestogetintothesoil.Col-
lectanddisposeofcoolantmixturesproperly.
•Donotopentheair-conditioningsystemyourself.It
containsgasesthatshouldnotbereleasedintothe

specialisthasaspecialextractorforthispurposeand
canrechargethesystemproperly.
•Repairanyleaksordefectsintheenginecoolingsys-
temorhydraulicsystemimmediately.
•Donotincreasethepressureinapressurizedcircuitas
thismayleadtoacomponentfailure.
Batteryrecycling
Batteriesandelectricaccumulatorscontainseveralsub-
stancesthatcanhaveaharmfuleffectontheenviron-
mentifthebatteriesarenotproperlyrecycledafteruse.
Improperdisposalofbatteriescancontaminatethesoil,
groundwater,andwaterways.CASEIHstronglyrecom-
mendsthatyoureturnallusedbatteriestoaCASEIH
dealer,whowilldisposeoftheusedbatteriesorrecycle
theusedbatteriesproperly.Insomecountries,thisisa
legalrequirement.

riodandifservicedattherecommendedintervals.
Run-inrecommendations
Avoidoverloadingtheengine.Operatingintoohigha
gearunderheavyloadmaycauseexcessiveengineover-
loading.Overloadingoccurswhentheenginewillnotre-
spondtoathrottleincrease.
Donotoperatewithoutaloadontheengine.Thiscanbe
asharmfultotheengineasoverloading.Varythetypeof
operationcarriedoutsotheengineissubmittedtoamix
ofheavyandlightloadsduringtherunning-inperiod.
Usethelowergearratioswhentowingheavyloadsand
avoidcontinuousoperationatconstantenginespeeds.
Operatingthetractorintoolowagearwithalightload
andhighenginespeedwillwastefuel.Selectthecorrect
transmissionratioforeachparticularoperationtosave
fuelandreduceenginewear.
Checktheinstrumentsandwarninglightsfrequentlyand
keeptheradiatorandoilreservoirstoppeduptotherec-
ommendedlevels.
Fuelsavingtips
1.Storefuelinproperlycleaned,rustandcontaminant
freecontainers.
2.Alwaysllthereservoirtankattheendofeachday
toreduceovernightcondensationofmoistureinthe
air,soastoavoiddamagetothefuelsystem.
3.Fuelltersshouldbereplacedasperrecommended
timescheduleasthelteringcapacityisnotretained
afterthisspeciedtime.Itmayallowharmfulcontam-
inationanddamagethefuelinjectionsystem.Follow
themaintenancescheduletodrainthewaterfromthe
ltersandcleanthesupplypumplter.
