About Daymak
Daymak is one of Canada’s largest Alternative Vehicle providers. We design, engineer,
manufacture, import and repair everything from recreational dirt bikes, go-karts and
electric golf cars to alternative transportation solutions such as e-bikes and gas scooters.
Our electric bicycles represent an energy-ecient and eco-friendly alternative for people who need to get
around the city. They greatly increase the practicality of bicycle transportation in urban centres. Costing only
a few cents to charge, an e-bike can make city life more convenient and much less expensive.
While there are many new Green technologies that are still in their infancy, electric bicycles have been de-
veloping over the last 40 years or more. E-bike technology has been dramatically rened since the introduc-
tion of the rst custom-conversion bicycles. Today, electric bicycles are a supremely reliable and aordable
means of transportation.

Safety / Riding Precautions
For your safety, please ensure the following:
- check both right and left brake levers, and that the brake sensors shut o power to the motor
- check the air pressure of both front and rear tires. The correct P.S.I. is listed on each tire.
- check both left and right turn signals and taillights work properly before riding
- check and make sure that your mirrors are tightened and allow for maximum visibility
- make sure that your battery power is sucient before you go out to ride
- additional passengers should always wear a helmet
- periodically charge the unit when not in use for long periods of time
- if you bring your charger, avoid shaking / rattling charger while riding
- do not over charge the battery by leaving the charger in the charging port. Once the battery is fully
charged remove the charger immediately.
- do not try to operate the unit while charging
- do not let anyone uner the age of 16 years old operate this vehicle
- do not make sharp / abrupt turns at high speeds to avoid tipping
- do not operate under the inuence of any use of drugs or alcohol
- do not completely submerge the unit in water
- do not operate in harsh weather conditions
- observe all trac rules, and do not operate in areas where motorized vehicles are not allowed.

Introduction
E-Scooters
Riding an electric scooter is a great way to hop around town conveniently and cheaply.
E- Bikes represent a natural progression in the development of urban transportation.
Using only small amounts of electricity, e-scooters have the potential to radically reduce the amount of pol-
lution in our cities. As well, they are very quiet, so they do not add to the high levels of noise pollution which
we often take for granted. They are easy, and usually free to park. They are unobtrusive and highly practical
additions to the urban landscape.
E-scooters are also inexpensive. They (currently) require no registration, no insurance, no licence and do not
incur parking charges. As well, compared to internal combustion engines, the engines in electric vehicles
have fewer moving parts and require far less maintenance.
Your Daymak e-scooter is the result of Daymak’s years of experience, the highly trained technical skills of our
sta and careful, ongoing design work by our engineers. We hope you enjoy using this product and welcome
any feedback that you may have.
New Laws
Most provinces in Canada, most states in the U.S.A, the United Kingdom and many European countries have
new laws that permit cyclists to use electric motors to assist the regular operation of bicycles. Please check
with your provincial or state government to learn about your local laws.

This diagram illustrates the various parts of your mobility scooter. Please note that many of these parts are not us-
er-serviceable and should be repaired only by trained professionals. This is especially true of the electrical systems and
the mechanical components.

Operation
Congratulations on your new Roadstar Deluxe mobility scooter. To begin, you will need to take the keys that
came with your scooter and insert them into your ignition. This is located on the main steering colum infront of
you when you are sitting on the machine.
To turn on the machine. Put the key in the ignition and turn it
clockwise to the right most position.
To turn o the machine turn the key counterclockwise to the
middle position.
Engaging the Wheel Lock
To lock the wheels perpendicular to the machine to prevent some-
one pushing it away to steal it the Roadstar Deluxe has a wheel
lock.
To engage the wheel lock:
1) Turn the handlebars to the left
2) With the key in the o position push into the key hole further
and turn counterclokwise to the left most position
*Please note there are 3 positions for the ignition and you
must push into the key to get it past the wheel lock*

Right Handlebar
1) Kill Switch - Press this button towards N to put the
scooter in Neutral, push it towards start so that the motor
will go.
2) Light Switch - The far left position will have no lights on.
The middle position will have only the brake lights on. The
far left position will have all the lights on.
3) Brake - Pull this lever to engage the front brakes and
stop power to the motor.
4) Throttle - Turn this towards you to engage the motor
and to go forward / backward.
5) 3 Speed Switch - Set it to position 1 for slowest speed
but furthest range. Set it to position 3 for fastest speed
and shortest range.
6) Forward and Reverse - Press this towards D to go for-
ward, R to go in reverse
7) Horn - Press this to honk the horn.
Left Handlebar
1) Brake - Pull this lever to engage the rear brakes
and stop power to the motor.
2) Next Song / Volume Up - Press this button once to
change to the song, press and hold it to increase the
volume
3) Pause / Play / Answer Call / Hang Up - Press this
button to pause or play your music. Press this button
to hang up or to
4) Previous Song / Volume down - Press this button
once to play the previous to the song, press and hold
it to decrease the volume
5) Power - Press this to turn on /o the Buetooth or
switch to FM radio.
6) USB Charging Port- Open this here and connect
your smart phone via USB to charge it.
7) Horn - Press this to honk the horn.
8) Turn Signals - Press this to the left or right to
indicate turning the respective direction. Press the
middle white button once your done.
9) High Beam / Low Beam - Press this button to angle
the lights up or down.

Bluetooth Connectivity
The Roadstar Deluxe now features Bluetooth speaker and phone system that syncs seamlessly to your smartphone. First
press the power button on the Roadstar to turn on the Bluetooth module. Once the module is on, go into your bluetooth
settings and look for “Daymak” in the devices.
Click on it to connect, and you will now be able to play music from your phone as well as answer phone calls with a click of a
button.

Speed Dial
The Roadstar Deluxe also comes with a speed dial so if you are taking it inside a mall or somewhere with close quarters you
can limit the speed drastically to make sure you never go to fast.
To do so look at the speed dial located in the left cup holder seen below.
Turn the dial clockwise to increase the speed and counterclockwise to decrease the speed.

Engaging Parking Brake
Underneath throttle there will be a small bar with a black nub covering it. This is to engage the parking
brake. To activate it, rst pull the rear brake caliper until it cannot go any further back.
Next, push the black nub up towards the handlebar to engage the rear brake lock.
Release the brake caliper and its set!
To disengage the parking brake, simply grab the rear brake caliper and pull it towards you again and the
parking brake will disengage and the bar will pop back out
Pull brake handle towards handlebar and push in the black nub
seen in the gures above and to the right.

Seat
The Roadstar Deluxe comes with an adjustable
seat that can be slid forward or backward to the
distance that you prefer. To do this, lift the handle
on the right hand side of the seat shown here up,
and while holding that up slide the seat back in
the direction you want.
The Roadstar Deluxe also comes with trunk stor-
age. On the back of the machine lift insert your
key into the key hole shown here. Turn the key
and lift the seat straight up to access additional
storage.
