Users manual for dyras MM-480 3in1 Stick Blender Set
NOTES
Please read the instruction manual thoroughly before using
your new appliance. It is important to keep these instructions
as a useful reminder that’ll help you enjoy the many features
available. If the appliance becomes faulty during regular use,
it should only be repaired by an authorised service engineer.
The manufacturer is not responsible if the appliance becomes
damaged or defective as a result of the user not following the
information included in the instruction manual.
IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION
The following safety instructions must be followed
when using the appliance.
Please read this section very carefully!
Of course, it’s not possible for us to anticipate or provide
safety rules for every specific situation, so we ask you to apply
commonsense precautions when using the appliance in a
situation that isn’t described below.
•
The appliance has been engineered for household use only, no
other (heavy duty, catering kitchen) uses are allowed.
• Never use the appliance outdoors.

Attention! Whenever the work is finished and the
appliance is no longer in use, or when during work
the hand blender is put down, for safety reasons
always unplug the power connector from the mains or
extension cable.
• This device is not supposed to be used by physically or
mentally handicapped people, or persons without experience
or knowledge (including children, as well), unless such a
person supervises or guides their use of the device, who is at
the same time responsible for their safety. As for children,
supervision is recommended to make sure that they do not
play with the device. This device is not supposed to be used by
children under the age of 14, not even with supervision!
• Keep the sharp chopping knife of the device out of reach of
children, even if the machine is being cleaned or is out of use.
• Warning! The edges of the chopping knife are very sharp and
may cause injury. Exercise particular care when removing the
chopping knife from the bowl, and when the bowl is emptied
or cleaned.
• Only use the appliance on stable flat surfaces. Always be sure
that the appliance cannot slip from the surface on which it is
located; and cannot fall into any container of liquid, e.g. a sink.

If the appliance does fall into liquid during operation (or it is
exposed to moisture), do not touch the appliance, but switch it
off by pulling out the plug from the mains socket and take it to
an authorised service centre for repair.
• To avoid electric shock, ensure the handle grip, which houses
the motor, power cable and plug are not immersed in water or
any other liquid.
• Never use an appliance or accessory that the manufacturer
did not supply with or propose for use with the appliance. The
use of such appliances might lead to accidents or irregular
function.
• Never lay the mains cable beside or across sharp edges or
hot surfaces. Never wrap the mains cable around the cover
of the appliance, do not pull the cable and do not lift the
appliance with the mains cable because the cable can break
or the insulation can be damaged. A damaged cable must be
replaced by an authorised service engineer. The appliance
must not be used or connected to a wall socket if the cable is
damaged

Don’t put the appliance near hot objects
(e.g. oven, hob, heating appliance etc.) or
on any hot surface.
Don’t place the appliance anywhere it
could slide down, fall or be knocked off
accidentally.
Never let the hand blender rest on the head of the
stainless steel blending attachment as this position is
unstable.
• Never touch the appliance with wet hands. Make sure your
hands are dry when you plug the mains connector into the
socket and when you unplug it. Always keep the casing,
cable, mains plug and wall socket completely dry. Avoid
using the appliance near water or any other liquids. Do not
touch the appliance if it gets wet or is exposed to moisture;
unplug it from the mains socket immediately and take it to an
authorised service engineer for checking or repair.
• Do not lengthen or alter the mains cable of the appliance. If
you need a longer cable between the appliance and the wall
socket, you should buy a standard extension cord from an
electrical dealer. When using an extension cord, be careful not
to create a hazard that you or someone else could trip over.

• The blender’s operating buttons require continuous pressure
during use. The motor stops immediately they are released.
• Before connecting the appliance to the mains supply please
check that the food processing attachment is correctly
connected and properly fitted. Only fully assembled
appliances should be connected to the mains. Never remove
the attachment during operation (connected to the electric
mains). Before removing the appliance attachment ensure that
the motor has stopped completely. Switch off the appliance by
withdrawing the power plug from the wall socket.
• Do not allow any objects to fall into the motor unit ventilation
slots. Do not insert anything into these slots, as this can cause
damage, electric shock or a short circuit. Take care to prevent
unwanted solid or hard objects from falling into the mixing
bowl as these could cause accidents or damage the appliance.
• Don’t use the appliance in the presence of explosive or
inflammable gases, vapours or liquids.
• The use of the appliance must be avoided in areas where the
temperature is too high or too low or where the appliance is
subject to vibrations. Avoid using the appliance under wet or
vaporous conditions. The appliance can be used within the
temperature range of +10°C to +35°C and stored within the
range of +5°C to +40°C.

Attention! The appliance and its accessories cannot be
washed in a dishwasher. For cleaning read the chapter
“Maintenance and cleaning”.
Attention! The blades of the appliance are very sharp
and rotate at high speed. They can cause severe injuries
if not used according to the instructions. Never operate
the hand blender without attaching the blending,
beating, or chopping attachment or with the blades
turning in the air (without being immersed in food).
Never point the mixing stick of the appliance towards
others standing nearby even when it is turned off. Never
touch the moving parts.
To prevent accident hazard and damage to the blender,
keep your hands, clothing and other kitchen appliances
away from its moving parts. Do not wear loose clothing,
chains, bracelets or other jewellery during work. Wear a
scarf or cap to retain your hair while using the appliance.
To avoid spattering food from the bowl, always turn on
the appliance with the attachment used immersed in
the food within the mixing bowl.
Never use the appliance mixing stick for processing solid
foods. This attachment can only be used for processing

liquid foods (fluids, creams, sauces, dips, etc.). Make
sure that during use the food to be processed covers
the wider part of the mixing stick. Never use the hand
blender to crush ice cubes or prepare ice slush!
• Do not attempt to crush ice using this device!
• The mixing bowl should never be filled above the 750 millilitre
marking on its side, or in excess of the maximum quantities
specified for each type of food.
Attention! The total volume of food ingredients in the
bowl of the chopping attachment - including any liquid
ingredients - must not exceed the 750 ml mark on the
side of the bowl (information about the volumes of solid
ingredients which can be put in the bowl at the same
time is included in the section - using the chopping
attachment). This condition should be met so that the
volume of liquid added to the solid ingredients does not
exceed 200 ml.
• Attention! The cutting edges of the knife are very sharp, and
can cause injury, please take special care when removing the
cutting knife from the bowl and when emptying or cleaning it.

• Attention!
The chopping unit is not capable of blending liquids, so please
never pour liquid into the mixing bowl even if it contains
solid food. For such kitchen tasks use a blending appliance
specifically designed for this purpose, or use the mixing stick.
• Be especially careful when mixing warm liquids or food
because liquid spilled accidentally presents a scalding hazard.
When blending hot food, always remove the dish containing
the food from the hob before starting work. Avoid mixing food
hotter than 60 °C, as the appliance could be damaged if the
attachment comes
into contact with higher temperature food; the manufacturer
shall not be liable for appliances damaged under these
circumstances.
• We recommend you clean the appliance and the attachments
immediately after use.
• Some plants (for example carrots) contain natural colours
which might cause staining of plastic parts. This won’t have
any effect on the usability of the appliance.
• Never immerse the motor unit, the lid of the chopper or
the upper part of the beater attachment in water. Keep all
components away from running water.

• No part of the appliance or its accessories should be cleaned in
a dishwasher.
• If your appliance is damaged or operates in an abnormal way,
immediately stop using it and take it to an authorised service
engineer for checking, repair or adjustment.
• The manufacturer is not responsible for any damage
that results from overuse, incorrect operation, incorrect
maintenance, neglecting the information given in the
instruction manual or normal wear and tear. In addition, the
manufacturer is not responsible for damage caused by any
parts of the appliance breaking or cracking.
Do not lengthen or alter the mains cable of the
appliance. If you need a longer cable between the
appliance and the wall socket, you should buy a
standard extension cord from an electrical dealer. When
using an extension cord, be careful not to create a
hazard that you or someone else could trip over.
• You must not disassemble the appliance, remove its cover or
to try to repair it. Ignoring this advice could cause a serious
accident. There are no parts in the appliance that can be
repaired at home or used for any other purpose. Never operate
the appliance with a damaged mains cable or connector. Do

not use the appliance if it fails to work normally or if it has
been dropped or damaged. If the appliance becomes faulty
for any reason or if any moisture is allowed inside, take it
to an authorised service engineer for checking and repair.
Only service engineers who have been trained and approved
should repair the appliance. The manufacturer cannot take any
responsibility for unauthorised repairs or for any circumstances
resulting from not following the instructions.
Special instructions:
Very Important:
The device has been designed for intermittent
operation. The product may be continuously operated
for maximum 1 minute when using any of using any of
the attachments. The given operating periods must be
followed by a cool down period of 10 minutes. In case
you mix or chop more dense materials than the average,
please reduce the duration of operation. When using
the chopping attachment it is advised not to press the
operating buttons continuously, but intermittently,
thus you can achieve more efficient chopping. During
shutdown the mains plug of the device must be always
unplugged from the wall socket. Neglecting of the

stipulations for this cool down period, may damage the
device and is considered as unprofessional treatment.
The manufacturer will not be held liable for any
failure of the appliance caused by or originating
from exceeding the time established for continuous
operation or non compliance with the times prescribed
for waiting. The manufacturer will not be held liable
for any damage caused by improper use (e.g. improper
cleaning, maintenance, dry running), or overloading
(e.g. damage due to accidental or intentional mixing of
hard materials).
Please respect the environment when the appliance
reaches the end of its life. Electrical products must not
be disposed of with other residential waste because they
can damage the natural world and may be hazardous
to human health. You should dispose of the appliance
at an appropriate recycling site or by using a collection
service that specialises in electrical appliances.
You may wish to contact the retailer or the manufacturer
if you are unable to find convenient local recycling
facilities as they have some legal responsibilities for
recycling electrical products.

POWER SUPPLY
The device must only be plugged into an electric mains
supply of 220-240 VAC, 50 Hz. Always check that the
site voltage is identical to that indicated on the device
nameplate.

USING OF APPLIANCE
Introduction; applications for the appliance
• The mixing stick attachment can be used for processing liquid
foods, blending liquids and mixing shakes, sauces or baby
food.
• The beating attachment can be used for making whipped egg
and whipped cream.
• Using the chopping attachment the appliance is capable of
chopping vegetables (carrot, kohlrabi, onion etc.) boiled or
baked poultry, pork or beef.
Before use
1. Unpack the appliance and remove all the packing materials.
2. Inspect the appliance and the accessories carefully to verify
their soundness and undamaged condition. Only perfectly
sound and damage-free appliances may be connected to the
electrical mains.
3. Before using for the first time, clean the device and its
accessories as described in the chapter “Maintenance and
Cleaning”.

Using the mixing stick
1. Insert the mixing stick into the unplugged motor unit so that
the attachment’s shaft fits into the star-shaped opening at
the base of the motor unit; then turn it clockwise until the
bayonet lock secures the attachment tightly to the base. When
disassembling the unplugged appliance remove the mixing
stick from the base by turning it in the opposite direction, i.e.
counterclockwise.
2. Put all ingredients into a suitably sized mixing bowl and then
immerse the mixing stick of the appliance into the mixing
bowl’s contents. Insert the stick blender’s mains plug into the
wall socket and then turn on the appliance by pressing the
operating button.
The operating button has two positions:
– when the upper section is pressed, the appliance operates at
speed one:
– lower speed,
– when the lower section is pressed, the appliance operates at
speed two:
– higher speed.

Notes:
* For safety reasons the operating buttons must be continuously
pressed for operation.
* When selecting a mixing bowl be sure that the side walls
are sufficiently high to prevent any spattering of the liquid
ingredients during blending, at either slow or high speed
operation.
3. When blending is completed turn the hand blender off by
releasing the operating button, wait until the blade stops and
only then lift the appliance from the bowl.
4. When blending is finished, the appliance should be cleaned
without delay. Immerse the blending attachment into a bowl
ready prepared with a soft, neutral detergent solution and run
the blender for a few minutes. Next, immerse the attachment
into a bowl of clean water to rinse away any detergent
residues.
5. After use disconnect the appliance from the mains. Cleaning
the appliance as soon after use as possible is recommended.
Practical advice for using the appliance
• For optimal results move the blending attachment while
immersed in the ingredients.

Before making fruit mush, clean, remove seeds from and dice
the fruit; then add a little milk or other liquid to the mix before
blending.
• Do not attempt to blend ice, seeds or other solid matter with
the blender.
• When preparing mayonnaise pour all ingredients into the
beaker, then lower the blender attachment to the bottom of
the beaker and move it regularly up and down.
• Ensure that the food to be blended always covers the blade
guard head of the attachment.
Using the beating attachment
• Assemble the upper and lower elements of the beating
attachment, and then mount it on the unplugged motor
unit by inserting its shaft into the star shaped opening
on the bottom of the motor unit. Next, turn it clockwise
until the bayonet lock secures it tightly to the base. When
disassembling the unplugged appliance remove the blending
attachment from the base by turning it in the opposite
direction, i.e. counter clockwise.

• Put all ingredients into a suitably sized mixing bowl and then
immerse the beating attachment of the appliance into its
contents. Insert the stick blender mains plug into the wall
socket and then operate the appliance starting at low and then
high speed until reaching the desired effect.
Use the beating attachment only for beating egg white
or whipped cream.
The attachment cannot be used for blending other foods
(fluids, creams, sauces, dips, etc.).
Using the chopping attachment
• Place the chopping bowl on a stable, flat surface and then
mount the chopping knife on the shaft located in the bowl.
• Cut vegetables or meat into 1 to 2-cm cubes before adding to
the bowl. Take care that the meat is completely free of bones
and is not too stringy, otherwise the chopping unit may be
damaged. Take care to prevent fruit stones entering the bowl.
• Put all ingredients into the bowl, taking care not to exceed
the maximum quantity specified for each food type or the 750
millilitre marking on its side.
