REGOLAZIONE DEL REGOLATORE DI PRESSIONE
Il regolatore di pressione con il filtro incorporato deve essere installato per evitare che le impurità arrivi-
no alla valvola del gas. Alcuni accorgimenti dovranno essere rispettati :
La pressione del gas non deve essere superiore alla pressione massima prevista.
Per aumentare la pressione del gas in uscita avvitare la vite C ;
per diminuire la pressione del gas svitare la vite C.
Al termine della regolazione rimettere il coperchio
ALLACCIAMENTO ALLA LINEA GAS
Allacciato il bruciatore alla tubazione del gas è necessario assicurarsi che quest’ultima sia a tenuta perfetta. Assicurarsi pure che il
camino non sia ostruito. Aperto il rubinetto del gas sfiatare con prudenza la tubazione attraverso l’apposita presa di pressione e
quindi controllare il valore della pressione con un manometro idoneo. Dare tensione all’impianto e regolare i termostati alla tempe-
ratura desiderata. Alla chiusura dei termostati, il dispositivo di controllo fughe gas effettua una prova di tenuta delle valvole; Al ter-
mine della prova il bruciatore riceve il consenso per effettuare il ciclo di avviamento.
ALLACCIAMENTO ELETTRICO
Tutti i bruciatori sono collaudati a 230V 50 Hz monofase .
AVVIAMENTO DEL BRUCIATORE A GAS
Stesse raccomandazioni dell’ avviamento a gasolio.Portare poi l’ interruttore nella posizione gas, dare tensione
e chiudere il consenso termostato.La fase di preventilazione e accensione avviene nello stesso modo dell’ avvia-
mento a gasolio.Una volta effettuata l’ accensione regolare la portata del gas tramite la regolazione della valvo-
la di lavoro e portarlo in combustione con la stesse regolazioni aria e testa dell’ avviamento a gasolio.

APPARECCHIATURA SIEMENS LGB 21/22
L’apparecchiatura Siemens avvia il ventilatore e inizia la fase di prelavaggio della camera di combustione. Il corretto funzionamento
é controllato tramite il pressostato aria. Al termine della preventilazione, viene inserito il trasformatore di accensione e successiva-
mente le valvole gas. In caso di mancata accensione o spegnimento accidentale la sonda di ionizzazione interviene mandando in
blocco l’apparecchiatura entro il tempo di sicurezza.


Per calcolare la portata in kW del bruciatore, procedere nel modo seguente :
Controllare al contatore la portata in litri del gas e il tempo in secondi della lettura.

Alla chiusura dei termostati, il dispositivo di controllo fughe gas effettua un controllo della tenuta
delle valvole mettendo in pressione il circuito tra le due valvole gas. Al raggiungimento della pres-
sione di prova il dispositivo rimane in posizione di attesa. Al termine della prova si accende la spia
gialla sul dispositivo di controllo e il bruciatore riceve il consenso per effettuare il ciclo di avvia-
mento. In caso di mancanza di tenuta di una delle valvole e di conseguenza di un abbassamento
della pressione di prova il dispositivo mette il sistema in sicurezza di blocco.

FUNZIONAMENTO DEL BRUCIATORE A GAS
Dopo aver portato il bruciatore alla posizione gas, mantenere mantenere la stessa regolazione dell’aria selezio-
nata con la leva di regolazione testa. Effettuare quindi la distribuzione del gas secondo il flusso d’aria al fine di
ottenere un rendimento ottimale della combustione a gas e gasolio.
Girare l’interruttore sulla posizione "2" gas.
Spurgare l’aria del tubo attraverso il punto di misurazione del manometro e controllare la pressione ottenuta
Accendere il bruciatore portando l’interruttore sulla posizione “ON”. L’apparecchiatura selezionerà soltanto il
motore ventilatore.Il bruciatore effettuerà un prelavaggio preliminare. Durante questo tempo il pressostato
aria trasmette all’apparecchiatura le informazioni sulla ventilazione. Dopo il prelavaggio preliminare,l’apparec-
chiatura accende il trasformatore ed apre la valvola del gas al primo stadio e quella di sicurezza. Se il bruciato-
re funziona correttamente,il trasformatore di accensione si spegne automaticamente al termine del ciclo
dell’apparecchiatura. Posizionare l’interruttore I/II nella posizione I per tenere il bruciatore al primo stadio.
Regolare la portata del gas conformemente alla regolazione preliminare della testa, per fare in modo che la
combustione raggiunga il rendimento ottimale al primo stadio. Il bruciatore resterà ora al primo stadio fino a
quando l’interruttore non venga nuovamente posizionato in seconda posizione. L’apparecchiatura comincia
allora il secondo stadio aprendo la serranda aria e la valvola al secondo stadio. Regolare ancora una volta la
portata del gas onde ottenere un rendimento ottimale della combustione a due stadi. In condizioni normali di
funzionamento il secondo stadio comincia automaticamente dopo 24 secondi. Il bruciatore è ora programma-
to per funzionare in condizioni ottimali sia a gas che a gasolio.

- avviare il bruciatore
- collegare un apparecchio per l’analisi di combustione al camino
- con l’ausilio di un cartoncino ostruire progressivamente il condotto di aspira-
zione dell’aria fino ad ottenere un valore percentuale di CO2 pari a 10,8 %
(combustione di gas naturale).
- agendo sul regolatore H, diminuire il valore di taratura del pressostato fino a
che interviene il blocco del bruciatore
- togliere l’ostruzione al condotto di aspirazione aria e rimontare il coperchio G
- ripristinare il funzionamento del bruciatore agendo sul pulsante di sblocco
della apparecchiatura

Il controllo della corrente di rivelazione si effettua inserendo un microamperome-
tro con fondo scala di 1000 µA (corrente continua) in serie alla fotocellula.
Se la corrente di rivelazione è troppo bassa verificare il collegamento fase e neutro
del bruciatore e la messa a terra del bruciatore stesso. Normalmente il valore della
corrente di rivelazione è 200 µA.

Accendere il bruciatore portando l’interruttore alla posizione “ON”. Il regolatore elettronico della fiamma è
ciclico; parte quindi sempre dalla stessa posizione. Il regolatore mette in funzione la ventola e la pompa del
motore. Il bruciatore effettuerà un prelavaggio preliminare. Durante questo tempo il pressostato aria trasmet-
te all’apparecchiatura le informazioni sulla ventilazione. Dopo lapreventilazione,l’apparecchiatura apre la val-
vola del gasolio ad uno stadio e quella di sicurezza; il trasformatore si accende. Se il bruciatore funziona cor-
rettamente,il trasformatore di accensione si spegne automaticamente al termine del ciclo dell’apparecchiatura.
Posizionare l’interruttore I/II nella posizione I per tenere il bruciatore al primo stadio.
Regolare la pressione del gasolio ed il flusso d’aria al
primo stadio. Il bruciatore resterà ora al primo sta-
dio fino a quando l’interruttore non venga nuova-
mente posizionato in secondo stadio. L’apparecchia-
tura inizia allora il secondo stadio aprendo comple-
tamente la serranda aria e la pressione, al secondo
stadio ed in condizioni normali di funzionamento,va
selezionata a 12-15 bar (controllare la lettura sul
manometro al punto di pressione). Regolare l’aria di
combustione mediante la leva di regolazione testa.
I- Posizione 1° stadio

FUNZIONAMENTO DEL BRUCIATORE A GASOLIO
Girare l’interruttore sulla posizione “1” gasolio. Collegare alla pompa un manometro per misurare la pressio-
ne del gasolio.

AVVIAMENTO DEL BRUCIATORE A GASOLIO
Prima di accendere il bruciatore, assicurarsi che sia montato correttamente.Controllare che il voltaggio corri-
sponda ai dati di targa e che i collegamenti elettrici siano fatti correttamente secondo lo schema elettrico alle-
gato.Prestare particolarmente attenzione al collegamento della fase e del neutro, come pure quella della messa
a terra.Sfiatare poi le tubazioni del gasolio, controllare che la pressione sia nei limiti indicati; questo controllo
deve essere effettuato con un manometro gasolio nell’ apposita presa di pressione. Effettuati questi controlli si
da’ tensione al bruciatore ,si sposta l’interruttore nella posizione gasolio e si chiude il contatto del termostato
caldaia, fatto questo l’ apparecchiatura comincia il ciclo , fa partire la preventilazione e la mantiene per 30
secondi. Alla fine della preventilazione se il consenso del pressostato è presente viene innescato il trasformato-
re di accensione.Dopo tre secondi dall’innesco del trasformatore (tempo di preaccensione)vengono alimentate
le valvole gasolio e tre secondi dopo l’accensione il trasformatore viene escluso.Nel caso di bruciatori con
salto di pressione (dual 3-4-5P) all disinnesco del trasformatore entra automaticamente il secondo regime di
fiamma.In caso di mancata accensione il bruciatore si pone immediatamente in blocco.Una volta effettuata
l’accensione portare in combustione il bruciatore tramite le regolazioni aria e testa.

CONTROLLARE :
- La perfetta tenuta delle tubazioni;
- Usare tubo rigido dove é possibile;
- Non eccedere nella depressione che non deve
superare i 0,45 bar;
- La valvola di fondo dimensionata correttamente.
Spurgare l’aria contenuta nella pompa attraverso la presa di pressione e controllare la
pressione. Riempire di gasolio le tubazioni per facilitare l’innesco. Non far funzionare la
pompa senza gasolio per più di 3 minuti. Se l’innesco della pompa non avviene nel
primo prelavaggio del bruciatore rimane il blocco.
Nota : Prima di mettere in moto il bruciatore assicurarsi che il ritorno sia aperto. Una
occlusione provocherebbe la rottura dell’organo di tenuta della pompa.

PULIZIA E SOSTITUZIONE UGELLO
CONTROLLO ANNUALE
Il controllo periodico del bruciatore (testa di combustione, elettrodi,ecc.) deve essere effettuato da personale autorizzato una o
due volte all’anno a secondo dell’utilizzo. Prima di procedere al controllo per la manutenzione del bruciatore è consigliabile veri-
ficare lo stato generale del bruciatore e seguire le seguenti operazioni : -Togliere tensione al bruciatore (togliere la spina). -
Chiudere il rubinetto di intercettazione gas. -Togliere il coperchio del bruciatore, pulire la ventola e l’aspirazione dell’aria. -
Pulire la testa di combustione e controllare la posizione degli elettrodi. -Rimontare i pezzi. -Verificare la tenuta dei raccordi
gase gasolio. -Verificare il camino. -Far ripartire il bruciatore. -Controllare i parametri della combustione (CO2= 9,5 ÷ 9,8
per gas),(CO2= 12 ÷ 12,5 per gasolio),(O = inferiore a 75 ppm).

ADJUSTMENT GAS GOVERNOR
The gas governor, with built-in filter, must be installed so as to stabilise the outlet gas pressure
and to avoid that eventual impurities reach the gas valve. To increase gas pressure, remove the
cover of governor and turn screw C. Unscrew screw C to reduce pressure, then fit the cover.
Note: the inlet gas pressure must not be higher than the specified max. gas pressure.
CONNECTION TO THE GAS PIPELINE
Once connected the burner to the gas pipeline, it is necessary to control that this last is perfectly sealed. Also verify that
the chimney is not obstructed. Open the gas cock and carefully bleed the piping through the pressure gauge connector,
then check the pressure value trough a suitable gauge. Power on the system and adjust the thermostats to the desired
temperature. When thermostats close, the sealing control device runs a seal test of valves; at the end of the test the bur-
ner will be enabled to run the start-up sequence.
ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS
All burners are factory tested and set at 230 V 50 Hz .
START OF GAS BURNER
Same recommendations of the oil start. Then put the switch on gas position, give power and close the thermostat con-
sent. The ignition and preventilation phase goes on the same way than oil start. Once the ignition is made regulate the
flow rate by the adjustment of the working valve and set the combustion with the same head and air regulations of the
oil burner start. Inserting a screwdriver on the seat over the valve does the regulation of maximum flow rate: the
clockwise rotation decreases it, the anticlockwise one increases it.
ADJUSTING THE COMBUSTION PROCESS
IMPORTANT: to obtain the right adjustment of the combustion and thermal capacity it is important to analyze the
reducts of combustion with the aid of suitable instruments. The combustion and thermal capacity adjustment is done
simultaneously, together with the analysis of the products of combustion, making sure that the measured values are sui-
table and that they comply with current safety standards. On this matter, please refer to the table and figure below.

The Siemens control box starts the fan and begins the pre-purging of the combustion chamber. The air pressure switch controls the
correct operation. At the end of the pre-purging phase, the ignition transformer cuts-in followed by the opening of the gas valves.
In case of missed ignition or accidental shutdown, the ionisation probe cuts-in and set the burner in lockout mode within the safety
time.

To calculate the burner's capacity in kW, proceed as follows: Check the gas flow rate (in liters) on
the counter and the time of the reading in seconds.

LEAKAGE CONTROL DEVICE VPS 504
When the thermostats are closed, the gas leakage control device checks the valve seals by pressurizing the circuit between the two
gas valves. When test pressure is reached the device remains in stand-by for about 25 seconds. At the end of the test the yellow pilot
light on the control device lights up and the burner is enabled to carry out the start-up cycle. If the seal on one of the valves is
faulty and this causes a drop in test pressure, the device puts the system into the safety condition and the red pilot right on the devi-
ce lights up. The flame control device starts the burner fan to carry out prewashing of the combu-
stion chamber,checking fan air pressure via the air pressure switch. After preventilation the igni-
tion transformer starts operating, generating a spark between the electrodes and simultaneously
the gas valves open (safety gas valve VS and first stage operating valve VL). If the flame does not
ignite or goes out, total safety is ensured by an ionization detection probe. The safety time limit
in the event of no flame is less than 2 seconds at start-up and less than 1 during operation. In the
event of no gas being supplied or of a considerable drop in pressure the minimum gas pressure
switch interrupts burner operation. About 20/30 seconds after ignition the flame control device commands operation of the second
stage via the gas valve and air servocontrol, thus taking the burner to maximum power.

WORKING OF THE GAS BURNER
After putting the burner to the gas position, keep the same regulation of the air selected with the head regula-
tion lever. For getting an optimal efficiency by gas and by oil combustion make the gas distribution by fol-
lowing the airflow. Turn the switch on gas “2” position.
Bleed the air of the pipe across the test point of pressure gauge and check the obtained pressure. Ignite the
burner putting the switch on “ON” position.
The control box will only select the fan motor. The burner will make a preliminary pre-purge. During this
time the air pressure switch send all information about the ventilation to the control box. After the prelimi-
nary pre-purge, the control box opens the 1st stage gas valve and the safety one giving power to the transfor-
mer.
If the burner works correctly, the ignition transformer automatically switches off at the end of the control box
cycle. Put the switch I/II on the I position to keep the burner at the first stage. Adjust the gas flow rate com-
plying with the preliminary head setting to let the combustion reach the optimal efficiency at first stage.
The burner will stay at the first stage till the switch is not positioned again on the second position. Then the
control box starts the second stage opening the air damper and the second stage valve.
Set another time the gas flow rate to get an optimal efficiency of the two stages combustion. On normal
working conditions the second stage automatically starts after 24 seconds. The burner is now set to work on
optimal conditions whether gas or oil.
Ignite the burner putting the switch “ON”. The electronic regulator of the flame is cyclic; it always starts
from the same position. The regulator let work the fan and the motor pump. The burner will do a prelimi-
nary pre-purge.
During this time the air pressure switch send all information about the ventilation to the control box. After
the pre-purge, the control box opens the 1st stage oil valve and the safety one; the transformer turns on.
If the burner works correctly the ignition transformer automatically switches off at the end of the control box
cycle.
IONIZATION CURRENT
ADJUSTMENT OF GAS MINIMUM PRESSURE SWITCH
Unscrew off and remove cover M. - Set regulator N to a value equal to 60% of gas nominal feed pressure
(i.e. for nat. gas nom. pressure = 20 mbar, set regulator to a value of 12 mbar; for L.P.G. nom. pressure
of G30/G31- 30/37 mbar, set regulator to a value of 18 mbar).Screw up cover M
DJUSTMENT OF THE AIR PRESSURE SWITCH
Unscrew screws A and B and remove cover C.- Set the pressure switch to the minimum by turning
regulator D to position 1.
- Start the burner and keep in low flame running, while checking that combustion is correct. Through
a small cardboard, progressively obstruct the air intake until to obtain a CO2 increase of 0,5÷0,8% or else, if a pres-
sure gauge is available, connected to pressure port E, until reaching a pressure drop of 1 mbar (10 mm of
W.G.). - Slowly increase the adjustment value of the air pressure switch until to have the burner
lockout. Remove the obstruction from the air intake, screw on the cover C and start the burner by
pressing the control box rearm button.
Note: The pressure measured at pressure port E must be within the limits of the pressure switch
working range. If not, loose the locking nut of screw F and gradually turn the same: clockwise to
reduce the pressure; counterclockwise to increase. At the end tighten the locking nut.

Put the switch I/II on the I position to keep the burner at the first stage.
Regulate the oil pressure and the airflow at first
stage. The burner will stay at first stage till the swit-
ch will be moved on second stage position. Then the
control box starts the second stage opening the air
damper and the oil pressure must be set at 12-15
bar, on standard condition in the 2nd stage (check
the pressure gauge reading at the pressure point).
Adjust the combustion air with the head setting
screw.

Before turning on the burner, be sure that is properly assembled.
Check that the voltage corresponds to the data plate and that the electrical connections are properly made
according to the enclosed wiring diagram. Pay particularly attention to the connection of the phase and the
neutral, as well the earth one. Then bleed the oil pipes, check the pressure is on the showed limits; this check
must be done with an oil pressure gauge in the pressure test point.
Once these checks are made it needs to give power to the burner, move the switch to the oil position and
close the contact of boiler thermostat. Then the control box begins the cycle, it makes the preventilation star-
ting and keeps it for 30 seconds. At the end of preventilation if the consent of the pressure switch is present
the ignition transformer has power. After three seconds from the transformer sparking (preignition time) the
oil valves are fed and three seconds after the ignition the transformer is excluded. Dealing burners with pres-
sure drop oil pumps (dual 3-4-5P) when the transformer is excluded the second stage enters automatically. If
there is no ignition the burner goes in lockout. Once the ignition has been done make the combustion of the
burner through head and air regulations.
