Z-Axis Switch Board (PCB) Replacement
Fusion Maker - Fusion Edge - Fusion Pro 24 & 36
Parts Required Tools/ Materials Required
• LC0802 - PCBA, Z Switch
• 24 x 12 tables
• LC0824 - PCBA, Z Switch, 24
• 24 x 24 and 36 x 24 tables
• 5/32” Allen Wrench
• 5/16” Nut Driver or Adjustable Wrench
• Anti-Static Bracelet
• Pencil or Marker

Z-Axis PCB Replacement
Z-Axis PCB Removal
1. Turn o the engraver.
2. Disconnect the engraver from power.
3. Remove the right panel of the
engraver:
4. Place the anti-static strap around
your wrist and attach the clamp to a
bare metal suace on the engraver.
5. Locate the Z-axis PCB at the front right
side of the engraver:

5. Using a pencil, make a mark on the
engraver chassis that corresponds
with the top edge of the z-axis PCB.
This will help to ensure that the new
z-axis PCB is installed in the correct
position:
6. Disconnect the data cable on the
z-axis PCB:

7. Loosen and remove the four (4) 5/16
nuts that secure the z-axis PCB to the
engraver chassis:
8. Remove the z-axis PCB from the
engraver:
Z-Axis PCB Installation
1. Place the anti-static strap around
your wrist and attach the clamp to a
bare metal suace on the engraver.

2. Place the z-axis PCB over the
mounting studs:
3. Install, but do not fully tighten the four
(4) 5/16 nuts that secure the z-axis PCB
to the chassis of the engraver:

4. Li the z-axis PCB until the top edge
of the board is aligned with the
pencil mark created in the removal
procedure:
5. Tighten the four (4) 5/16 nuts that
secure the z-axis PCB to the chassis of
the engraver:
6. Connect the communication cable to
the z-axis PCB:
7. Replace the right panel of the
engraver:
Aer replacing the z-axis PCB, complete
the table calibration, CO2 and or fiber
focus, and autofocus calibrations.
