Y-Axis Bearing Block

Y-Axis Bearing Block Assembly
Removal
1. Turn o the engraver.
2. Disconnect engraver from power
source.
3. Remove the le or right panel of the
engraver, depending on which y-axis
bearing block assembly is being
replaced.
4. Loosen and or remove the four (4)
5/32” fasteners that secure the x-axis
assembly to the y-axis bearing block.
There are two (2) on the right side and
two (2) on the le side:

5. Once the x-axis assembly fasteners
are removed and or loosened, gently
li the x-axis assembly to free it from
the locator pins on the y-axis bearing
blocks:
6. Rest the x-axis assembly on the
chassis of the engraver.

7. Loosen and remove the four (4) Phillips
screws that secure the y-axis motor:
8. Remove the y-axis motor from the
y-axis assembly to access the y-axis
motor harness:
9. Remove the y-axis motor harness from
the y-axis motor:
10. The y-axis bearing blocks ride on the
y-axis guide rails in the engraver which
are secured to the y-axis guide rail
supports:
11. Loosen and remove the four to seven
(4-7) 7/64” Allen screws that secure the
y-axis assembly to the y-axis guide rail
supports through the circular cutouts
under the y-axis guide rail:
The y-axis guide rail supports are
calibrated and shimmed at the factory to
be parallel with each other. Do not re-
move the y-axis guide rail
supports.

12. Remove the rubber bumper from the
front of the y-axis guide rail:
13. Remove the y-axis bearing block
assembly from the engraver:

Installation
1. Place the y-axis assembly on top of
the y-axis guide rail supports, ensuring
the threaded holes are facing
downwards:
2. Install the rubber bumper on the y-axis
guide rail and ensure that the y-axis
guide rail is inserted fully forward in
the engraver:

3. Install, but do not fully tighten the four
to seven (4-7) 7/64” Allen screws that
secure the y-axis assembly to the
y-axis guide rail supports through the
circular cutouts under the y-axis guide
rail:
4. Once all of the y-axis guide rail
support screws have been loosely
installed, fully tighten each screw
following the order below:

5. Connect the y-axis motor harness to
the y-axis motor:
6. Position the y-axis motor into the
y-axis assembly and loop the y-axis
belt around the y-axis drive pulley:

7. Ensure that the y-axis motor is properly
seated in the y-axis assembly:
8. Install and tighten the four (4) Phillips
screws that secure the y-axis motor to
the y-axis assembly:
9. Place the x-axis assembly on the
y-axis bearing blocks:
10. Install and tighten the four (4) x-axis
assembly fasteners

11. Replace the side panels of the
engraver.
