Z-Axis Belt Replacement
Fusion Maker - Fusion Edge - Fusion Pro 24 & 36
Parts Required Tools/ Materials Required
• RC0596 - Belt, Table, Z24
• 24 x 12 table
• LC0504 - Belt, Table 24x24
• 24 x 24 table
• LC0726 - Belt, Table, 36x24
• 36 x 24 table
• 5/32” Allen Wrench
• Pencil or Marker

Z- Belt Replacement
Z-Belt Removal
1. Turn o the engraver.
2. Disconnect the engraver from power.
3. Remove the right panel of the engraver:
4. Remove the front access panel and the
crumb tray of the engraver:
5. Using a pencil, make a mark on the
engraver chassis that corresponds with
the leading edge of the z-axis motor
bracket. This will help to ensure the
correct z-axis belt tension is applied
when the new z-axis motor is installed:
6. Disconnect the z-axis motor electrical
harness.
7. Loosen, but do not remove the z-axis
motor tensioner thumbscrew to release
the tension on the z-axis belt:

8. Loosen and remove the four (4) 5/32”
Allen screws on the z-axis motor mount:
9. Remove the z-axis motor assembly:
10. Press the z-axis belt flat against the
bottom of the engraver chassis and slip
the belt underneath each lead screw
pulley.:
1. Once the z-axis belt has been slipped
under each lead screw pulley, remove
the belt from the engraver.
Z-Axis Belt Installation
1. Place the z-axis belt in the bottom of
the engraver.
2. Press the z-axis belt flat against the
bottom of the engraver chassis and
slip the belt underneath each lead
screw pulley. Ensure that the toothed
side of the belt wraps around each
lead screw pulley:
3. Repeat this process for all four (4) lead
screw assemblies in the engraver,
using the images below as a reference
for proper x-axis belt routing:

4. Insert the z-axis belt into the opening
for the z-axis motor, leaving adequate
space to ensure that the belt wraps
around z-axis motor drive pulley when
installing the z-axis motor:
5. Install, but do not fully tighten the four
(4) 5/32” Allen screws on the z-axis motor
mount:

6. Connect the z-axis motor electrical
harness.
7. Begin to tighten the z-axis motor
tensioner thumbscrew to tension the
z-axis belt:
8. Continue to tighten the tensioner
thumbscrew until the motor bracket is in
line with the mark made in the removal
procedure:
9. Install the front access panel and the
crumb tray of the engraver:
10. Install the right panel of the engraver:
11. Connect the engraver from power.
