X-ray Exposure
Registration of patient information
Select Exposure menu
X-ray exposure and image conrmation
Leave 10 cm (4 in.) or more space at both sides
of the Image Reader to allow the cooling fans
inside to intake and exhaust air.

The monitor lamp changes from
orange to blue.
2Power ON
After the Console (PC) has
booted, an application starts.
1Click
When is clicked, the
conrmation window is shown.

Conrm that “Shut-
down the PC” is se-
lected and click [OK].
3Power ON
Equipment initialization starts.
3Check
When the Console (PC) shuts
down, the power supply is
switched off automatically.
To switch off the power
independently, press the
(Stand-by Switch) for
approximately 4 seconds.
4Power OFF
Turn off the Main Power Switch.
1Select
Select the Exposure
menu.
The Read Image
window is displayed
automatically.
1Register
Register Patient ID,
Patient Name, Sex,
and Date of Birth.
Click when
the input of patient
information has been
completed.

• Slowly insert the cas-
sette straight along
the guide at the right.
• Before inserting the
cassette, remove
the exposure marker
from the cassette.

Start the Image Viewer
window and conrm
the image.

When this is clicked,
the display returns to
the Main window.
When a printer is
connected, the image
is put out to lm.

Frequent messages and countermeasures
is displayed. / Images are not transferred.
Not transferred image data remain in the
Image Reader. Do not switch off the power.
CAUTION
►Cause
- The read image data could not be transferred to the
Console (PC).
- The power supply of the Console (PC) is switched off.
- No Exposure menu has been registered.
The cassette has not been inserted correctly.
►Cause
The cassette has not been inserted correctly into the
Image Reader.
Do not pull out the cassette forcibly.
A part of the device may become broken.
If the IP protrudes out of the cassette pulled
out, return the IP into the cassette and close
the lid of the cassette.
CAUTION
Image reading is not completed.
►Cause
A cassette has been ejected without reading the images
exposed to IP.
Images remain on the IP.
Repeat image reading.

1Stop the buzzer.
Press the (Stand-by Switch) to stop the buzzer.
2 Conrm the Console.
- Conrm correct operation of the Console (PC).
- When the main power of the Console (PC) is off, turn
on the main power to start up the Console (PC).
- Conrm that an Exposure menu has been registered.
3 Conrm the cable connection.
- Conrm that the network cable connecting the Image
Reader and the HUB has not been disconnected.
- Conrm that the network cable connecting the Console
(PC) and the HUB has not been disconnected.
- Sometimes the error may be corrected by reconnecting
the network cable.
- Conrm that the power cord for the HUB has not been
disconnected.

1Stop the buzzer.
Press (Stand-by Switch) to stop the buzzer. Press
(Stand-by Switch) again to clear the error indication.
2Remove the cassette slowly.
Conrm that the (Cassette Removal Lamp) and the
(Cassette Ready Lamp) are blinking alternately,
press the (Stand-by Switch) again and then remove
the cassette.
3Align the cassette to the right and insert it
slowly.
Conrm that the cassette is not upside down or switched
front/back.
Insert the cassette following the operation instruction
attached to the Image Reader.
1Stop the buzzer.
Press (Stand-by Switch) to stop the buzzer. Press
(Stand-by Switch) again to clear the error indication.
2Remove the cassette.
Conrm that the (Cassette Removal Lamp) and the
(Cassette Ready Lamp) are blinking alternately,
press the (Stand-by Switch) again and then remove
the cassette.
3Perform image reading.
Insert the removed cassette into the unit and perform
image reading again.

Erasure of the Image on the IP
Image erasing is not completed.
►Cause
The IP has been returned to the cassette without
completion of erasing the images exposed to the IP.
Scanner Cleaning
Lines can be seen on the read image.
Line
Note that the streak on this example is
enhanced for the sake of clarity.
- Erase the image(s) on the IP 16 or more
hours later after is displayed.
- If is displayed, conrm that the image
is displayed on the Console (PC), and then
erase the image(s) on the IP.
- If is displayed, one or more images
remain in the IP. Activate the erasing mode
to erase the image(s) on the IP.

1Stop the buzzer.
Press (Stand-by Switch) to stop the buzzer. Press
(Stand-by Switch) again to clear the error indication.
2Remove the cassette.
Conrm that the (Cassette Removal Lamp) and the
(Cassette Ready Lamp) are blinking alternately,
press the (Stand-by Switch) again and then remove
the cassette.
Conrm that the image is displayed on the Console (PC).
3Switch to erasing mode.
Press the (Eraser Button) to switch to erasing mode.
4Erase the images on the IP.
Insert the removed cassette into the unit and erase the
images on the IP.
1Press the (Eraser button).
The power/erasing mode indicator lamp will be turned from
green to orange.
2Insert a cassette.
Erasure will be performed. Upon completion of the
erasure, the cassette removal lamp will blink.
3Remove the cassette.
Countermeasures
►Cause
It is possible that dust etc. has become attached to the
scanner of the Image Reader.
Never perform scanner cleaning during image
reading. This can cause trouble.
CAUTION
A white streak of about 5 mm (0.2 in.) may occur
at the edge of the image, but this is not a defect.
HINT
1 Conrm that the cassette is not inserted.
Remove the cassette to clean the scanner.
When a cassette is inserted, either the IP image is being
read or the IP image is being erased.
2Perform scanner cleaning.
Turn the scanner cleaning handle on the left side of the
Image Reader to perform scanner cleaning.
This can remove dust etc. which has become attached to
the scanner.
Countermeasures
Turn the scanner
cleaning handle

If lines still can be seen on the image after scanner
cleaning has been performed, maintenance is required.

Information
Please notify the dealer specied by our company.
- When an error occurs, jot down the error code and
perform error cancellation.
- An error may be resolved after turning off the main
power for a while and turn it on again.
- When an error requiring restart occurs, all
lamps blink and an error No. is displayed.
Jot down the error No. and restart the device.
If the error occurs again after restart, contact
your local authorized distributor.
- Do not turn off the Main Power Switch except at
the time when the system is down.
