sehr geehrte Kundin,
wir danken Ihnen für den Kauf dieses Qualitätsproduktes. Lesen Sie diese
Anleitung vor Inbetriebnahme sorgfältig durch. Beachten Sie insbesondere die
Sicherheitshinweise. Unsere Service-Informationen finden Sie am Ende dieser
Anleitung.
Bestimmungsgemäßer Gebrauch:
Der Aktenvernichter ist ausschließlich zum Zerkleinern von Papier geeignet. Jede
andere Verwendung oder Veränderung gilt als nicht bestimmungsgemäß und birgt
erhebliche Unfallgefahren.
WICHTIGE Sicherheitshinweise:
1. Lesen Sie die Bedienungsanleitung, bevor Sie das Gerät verwenden.
2. Halten Sie Gegenstände wie Kleidung, Krawatten , Schmuck , Haare
und andere kleine Objekte von der Einzugsöffnung fern, um Verletzungen zu
vermeiden.
3. Ziehen Sie den Stecker des Shredders heraus, wenn Sie ihn für längere Zeit nicht
benutzen.
4. Entfernen Sie alle Büro- und Heftklammern bevor Sie das Papier einführen.
5. Halten Sie Ihre Finger und Hände von der Einfuhröffnung fern, um
Verletzungen zu vermeiden.
6. Stellen Sie das Gerät so nahe wie möglich an einer Steckdose auf.
7. Der Shredder muss immer ausgeschaltet und ausgesteckt werden, bevor er wo
anders hingestellt, transportiert oder gereinigt wird und bevor der Auffangbehälter
ausgeleert wird.
8. Leeren Sie den Auffangbehälter in regelmäßigen Abständen aus, ansonsten kann
es zu einem Papierstau führen. Stecken Sie das Gerät aus, bevor Sie den
Auffangbehälter entleeren.

9. Achtung: Dieser Shredder kann keine CDs/DVDs , Kassetten und Disketten
zerkleinern.
10. Lassen Sie den Shredder, wenn Kinder oder Haustiere zugegen sind, nicht
unbeaufsichtigt.
11. Der Shredder kann nur Papier zerkleinern. Bitte führen Sie keine anderen
Gegenstände ein. Das Papier muss trocken und sauber sein.
12. Öffnen Sie niemals das Gehäuse. Sollten Sie Probleme haben, kontaktieren Sie
bitte unsere Service Hotline.
13. Das Gerät darf nicht mit einem defekten Stromkabel betrieben werden.
14. Ausschließlich für den Gebrauch in geschlossenen Räumen geeignet.
15. Bitte sprühen Sie keine entzündlichen Gase oder Öle auf den Shredder, da
dies zu Bränden führen kann.
16. Trennen Sie das Gerät bei Nichtbenutzung vom Netz.
Anmerkung: Um ein optimales Ergebnis zu erzielen und um die Maschine zu
schützen, empfehlen wir dem Kunden das Gerät 2 Minuten zu bedienen und dann für
60 Minuten zu pausieren.
ELEKTRISCHE SICHERHEITSRICHTLINIEN
Vor einer längeren Nichtbenutzung des Gerätes, bitte Netzstecker ziehen!
Bei einem Schaden am Netzkabel, Netzstecker oder am Gerät selbst, bitte dieses

Versuchen Sie bitte nicht das Gerät selbst zu reparieren!
Bitte die empfohlene Kapazität der Steckdose nicht überlasten!
Der Netzanschluss des Gerätes muss frei zugänglich sein!
Keine Veränderung am Netzkabel vornehmen, da es der vorgeschriebenen
Netzspannung entspricht!

Bedienungsanleitung
Den Aktenvernichter aufstellen:
1. Der Aktenvernichteraufsatz verfügt über einen ausziehbaren Arm, mit dessen
Hilfe Sie ihn auch auf verschiedene Körben platzieren können.
2. Achten Sie dabei auf einen sicheren Sitz des Aufsatzes und darauf, dass
Sie Ihre Finger nicht zwischen dem Oberrand des Papierkorbes und dem
Aktenvernichter einklemmen. Es besteht Verletzungsgefahr!

Hinweis: Dank des abnehmbaren Armes, kann der Aktenvernichter auch an
andere runde oder rechteckige Papierkörbe montiert werden. Der Arm ist auf
der linken Seite des Aktenvernichters montiert und ist geeignet für
Papierkörbe mit einer Breite von 270 mm bis 340 mm.
3. Den Netzstecker an eine übliche 220-240-Volt-Wechselstrom-Steckdose
anschließen.
Den Aktenvernichter in Betrieb nehmen:
Wichtiger Hinweis:
Dieses Gerät ist nur für den privaten Gebrauch in geschlossenen Räumen
und für einen Kurzzeitbetrieb von 2 Minuten konstruiert. Verwenden Sie den
Aktenvernichter nicht im gewerblichen Bereich und nicht im Freien. Der
unsachgemäße Gebrauch birgt Unfallgefahren.
Der Hauptschalter hat 3 Einstellungen. Zur Inbetriebnahme des Geräts stellen Sie
den Schalter auf Position „AUTO“.
1. AUTO (betriebsbereit, Standby): Bei Einstellung des Schiebeschalters auf
„AUTO“ ist das Gerät startbereit. Wenn das zu vernichtende Papier in die
jeweilige Eingabeöffnung eingeführt wird, startet der Schneidevorgang
automatisch.
Führen Sie das Papier nur GERADE in die Eingabeöffnung ein, um Papierstau
zu vermeiden. Nachdem das Papier vom Schneidwerk geschreddert wurde,
schaltet es automatisch in den Standby-Modus. Schaltet sich das Gerät nicht
automatisch ab, so überprüfen Sie, ob der Papierkorb voll ist oder sich noch
Papierreste im Schneidwerk befinden.
Führen Sie Papier nur in die dafür gekennzeichneten Eingabeöffnungen ein!
2. REV (Rückwärtslauf): Bei Einstellung des Schiebeschalters auf „REV“ bewegt
sich das Schneidwerk rückwärts. Diese Funktion dient zum Entfernen von
Papierstau (siehe Abschnitt „Schutz vor Papierstaus und Überhitzung des
Motors“).
3. OFF (Aus) wird empfohlen, beim Entleeren des Papierkorbs oder wenn der
Aktenvernichter über einen längeren Zeitraum nicht in Gebrauch ist.
Kapazität des Aktenvernichters:
Der GENIE 206 S schneidet bis zu 6 Blatt Papier (DIN A4, 80 g). Die Papierbreite
kann bis zu 21,8 cm betragen. Beim Zerkleinern von kleinen Papieren, wie
beispielsweise Briefumschlägen oder Kreditkartenquittungen, führen Sie diese in die
Mitte der Eingabeöffnung ein.
Bitte achten Sie darauf, dass nie mehr als die oben angegebene Maximalmenge
in die Eingabeöffnung eingeführt wird. Das Gerät kann dadurch beschädigt
werden.

Schutz vor Papierstaus und Überlastungen:
Der GENIE 206 S ist mit einem Motoren-Überlastungsschutz ausgestattet. Wenn der
automatische Überlastungsschutz des Motors ausgelöst wird, wird die Stromzufuhr
zum Gerät unterbrochen. Ursachen können die Folgenden sein:
Kontinuierlicher Betrieb des Aktenvernichters mit maximaler Kapazität über
eine längere Zeitdauer, z. B. länger als 2 Minuten ohne Unterbrechung.
Überschreiten der Schnittleistung, z.B. Einführen von mehr als 6 Blatt Papier
(80 g) in einem Arbeitsgang, oder falls das Papier nicht der Länge nach in die
Eingabeöffnung eingeführt wird.
Unter den oben erwähnten Bedingungen, wird der automatische Motoren-
Überlastungsschutz ausgelöst, woraufhin die aktuelle Zufuhr zum Gerät
unterbrochen wird.
In diesen Fällen ergreifen Sie bitte folgende Maßnahmen:
1. Schalten Sie den Hauptschalter auf OFF. Trennen Sie den Netzstecker von
der Wechselstrom-Steckdose, um Verletzungen zu vermeiden, und warten
Sie mindestens 60 Minuten, bis der Überlastungsschutz zurückgesetzt wurde.
Reißen Sie überschüssiges Papier oberhalb des Schneidwerks ab oder
entfernen Sie es.
2. Den Netzstecker wieder an die Wechselstrom-Steckdose anschließen und den
Schalter auf REV stellen. Ziehen Sie das verbleibende Papier von den
Schneidklingen weg. Wenn nötig, wiederholen Sie diesen Vorgang.

P-2: Empfohlen für Datenträger mit internen Daten, die unlesbar gemacht werden sollen.
Materialteilchenfläche ≤800 mm² oder Streifenbreite ≤6 mm Streifenlänge nicht begrenzt.
Reinigung:
Gefahr! Ziehen Sie vor jeder Reinigung den Netzstecker. Es besteht die Gefahr
eines Stromschlags!
Warnung! Die Schneidmesser des Geräts sind sehr scharf! Verletzungsgefahr!

1. Leeren Sie den Papierkorb regelmäßig aus.
2. Reinigen Sie den Papierkorb und den Aktenvernichter mit einem leicht
befeuchteten Tuch und ggf. mit einem milden Reinigungsmittel.
3. Entfernen Sie eventuelle Rückstände in den Schneidöffnungen mit einem
geeigneten Gegenstand. Stellen Sie sicher, dass dabei der Netzstecker
gezogen ist. Es besteht Verletzungsgefahr!

Dear customer,
Thank you for buying this high-quality product. Please carefully read through these
operating instructions before using the device for the first time. In particular, please
comply with the safety notices. Our service information is located at the bottom of
these instructions.
Intended Use:
The shredder is only suitable for shredding of paper. Any other use or modification shall be
deemed to be improper and involves substantial risk of accidents.
IMPORTANT safety measures:
1. Read the operating manual before starting to use the device.
2. Always be sure to keep all loose objects such as e.g. clothing, ties , jewellery
, hair and all other small objects away from the feed slot in order to avoid
injury.
3. Disconnect the mains plug in the event the document shredder is not be used for a
longer period of time.
4. Remove all paper clips and staples before inserting the paper.
5. Always be sure to keep your fingers and hands away from the feed slot in order to
avoid serious injury.
6. The device should be setup as close as possible to an easily accessible wall socket.
7. The document shredder must always be deactivated and disconnected from the
electrical line prior to moving, transporting and cleaning the device and prior to emptying
the waste basket.
8. Empty the waste basket frequently. Otherwise the shredder may jam. Please disconnect
the mains plug in order to empty the basket.
9. Attention: The document shredder is not suitable for CDs/DVDs , shredding
cassettes resp. diskettes.

10. Please do not leave the document shredder unattended e.g. in the event children
or pets are nearby.
11. The document shredder is only suitable for shredding paper, please do not insert any
other materials, the paper must be dry and clean.
12. Never open the casing. In the event of problems with the device, please contact our
hotline.
13. The device may not be operated with a damaged power cord.
14. For indoor use only.
15. Please do not spray any flammable gas or oil onto this shredder, it may cause fire.
16. Unplug this equipment when not in use for an extended period of time.
Remark: For optimum results and to protect the machine, we suggest the user to operate it
for 2 minutes and then rest 60 minutes.

cease operating the device (risk of injury)!

Setting up the document shredder:
1. The shredder attachment is equipped with a pull-out arm which can be used to fit the
attachment on various sized waste bins.
2. When fitting it, pay attention that the attachment fits securely and that your
fingers do not get jammed between the top edge of the waste bin and shredder.
Risk of injury!
Note: Thanks to the removable arm, you may also mount the document shredder on
other round and rectangular waste baskets. The arm is located on the left side of the
document shredder and is suitable for waste baskets with a width of 270 mm to
340 mm.
3. Connect the main plug to a standard 220-240 volt AC socket.

Starting the document shredder:
Important note:
This device is designed solely for private use in enclosed quarters and for brief
operation not exceeding 2 minutes. Do not use the document shredder for
commercial applications nor outdoors. Improper use poses risk of accidents.
The main switch has 3 positions. To start the device set the button into position “AUTO”.
1. AUTO (ready to operate, Standby): The device is ready to operate after setting
the sliding switch to “AUTO”. The shredding process begins automatically
when the paper to be shredded is fed into the insertion slot.
The paper must be fed STRAIGHT into the insertion slot to prevent paper
jamming. After the paper has been shredded by the cutting mechanism, the
shredder switches off automatically and enters Standby mode. If the device
does not switch off automatically, check whether the waste bin is full or there
is still residual paper in the cutting mechanism.
Only insert paper into the designated feed slots!
2. REV (reverse operation): “REV” make the cutting unit turn backward. With these
function paper jams can be removed (please refer to chapter “Protection against
paper jams and overloading”).
3. OFF position is recommended when emptying the wastebasket or when the shredder
is not in use for a prolonged period of time.
Capacity of the document shredder:
The GENIE 206S shreds up to 6 sheets of paper (DIN A4, 80 g). The paper width may
comprise up to 21.8 cm. When shredding small paper sizes such as letters or credit card
receipts, please insert them into the middle of the shredding slot.
Please ensure that never more than the above-mentioned maximum quantity is
inserted in the shredder. Otherwise the device may sustain damage.
Protection against paper jams and overloading:
The GENIE 206S is equipped with a motor overload guard. To protect the machine well, we
suggest the user to operate it in this way: work 2 minutes then rest 60 minutes. Under the
following conditions, the current feed to the unit’s motor is interrupted:
Continual operation of the document shredder with maximum capacity for a prolonged
period of time, e.g. longer than 2 minutes without interruption.
Overrunning the shredding capacity e.g. adding more than 6 sheets of paper (80 g) in
one operation or in the event the paper is not inserted length-wise into the feed slot.

Under the above-mentioned conditions, the automatic overload guard of the motor is
triggered, whereupon the current feed to the device is interrupted.
In such a case, please take the following steps:
1. Switch the main switch to OFF. Disconnect the main plug from the AC socket in
order to avoid the risk of serious injuries and wait at least 60 minutes until the
overload guard has reset. Now tear off excess paper from the top of the shredder or
remove it.
2. Reconnect the main plug to the AC socket and switch to REV. Pull the remaining paper
away from the shredding blades. If necessary, repeat this step.

Cleaning:
Danger! Unplug the power cord before cleaning. There is a risk of electric shock!
Warning! The blades of the device are very sharp! Danger of injury!
1. Empty the drip trays regularly.
2. Clean the drip trays and paper cutter with a slightly dampened cloth and possibly with a
mild detergent.
3. Remove any residue in the cutting holes with a suitable object. Make sure that while
cleaning the plug is pulled in order to avoid injuries.

Disposal
The packaging is made of environmentally friendly materials
that you can dispose of at local recycling points. Advice on the

obtained from your municipal or local administration offices.

waste sorting process; they are identified by abbreviations (b)
and numbers (a) which have the following significance: 1–7:

Il distruggidocumenti è preposto esclusivamente alla frantumazione di carta.
Qualsiasi altro impiego o eventuali modifiche sono considerati impropri e comportano
un notevole rischio di incidenti.
Indicazioni di sicurezza IMPORTANTI:
1. Leggere le presenti istruzioni operative prima di usare l’apparecchio per la prima
volta.
2. Tenere oggetti come indumenti, cravatte , bigiotteria , capelli e altri

5. Tenere dita e mani lontane dall’apertura di caricamento per evitare lesioni.
6. Posizionare l’apparecchio il più possibile vicino ad una presa di corrente.
7. Disinserire e scollegare sempre il distruggidocumenti prima che l’apparecchio sia
posizionato da un’altra parte, trasportato o pulito e prima di svuotare il recipiente di
raccolta.
8. Svuotare il recipiente di raccolta in intervalli regolari, altrimenti si può verificare un
inceppamento di carta. Scollegare l’apparecchio prima di svuotare il recipiente di
raccolta.

9. Attenzione: Il distruggidocumenti non è in grado di frantumare CD/DVD ,
cassette e dischetti.
10. Non lasciare il distruggidocumenti incustodito in presenza di bambini o
animali domestici.
11. Il distruggidocumenti è preposto unicamente alla frantumazione di carta. Non
introdurre oggetti di altro tipo. La carta deve essere asciutta e pulita.
12. Non aprire mai l’involucro. In caso di problemi, contattare la nostra linea di
assistenza telefonica.
13. Non mettere mai in funzione l’apparecchio con un cavo di alimentazione
difettoso.
14. Utilizzare il distruggidocumenti esclusivamente in ambienti chiusi.
15. Non spruzzare gas ed oli facilmente infiammabili sul distruggidocumenti,
considerato il pericolo di possibili incendi.
16. Scollegare l'apparecchio dalla rete quando non viene utilizzato.
Nota: Per ottenere un risultato ottimale e per proteggere l’apparecchio, si consiglia di
fare funzionare l’apparecchio per 2 minuti e di fare quindi seguire una pausa di 60
minuti.
DIRETTIVE PER LA SICUREZZA ELETTRICA
In previsione di un periodo prolungato di inutilizzo dell’apparecchio, scollegare la
spina di alimentazione.
Non utilizzare ulteriormente l’apparecchio in caso di danni al cavo di rete, alla
spina di alimentazione o allo stesso apparecchio (pericolo di lesioni)!
Non tentare di riparare l’apparecchio autonomamente!

Montaggio del distruggidocumenti
1. La testata del distruggidocumenti è dotata di braccio estraibile che ne
consente il posizionamento su vari cestini per rifiuti.

2. Assicurarsi che l’apparecchio poggi saldamente sul cestino per rifiuti
evitando di incastrare le dita tra il bordo superiore del cestino e il
distruggidocumenti. Pericolo di lesioni!
Nota: Il braccio estraibile consente di montare il distruggidocumenti su cestini
per rifiuti sia rotondi che rettangolari. Il braccio si trova sul lato sinistro del
distruggidocumenti e consente di montare l’apparecchio su cestini per rifiuti
con una larghezza variabile da 270 mm a 340 mm.
3. Collegare la spina di alimentazione ad una presa convenzionale a corrente
alternata da 220-240 Volt.
Messa in funzione del distruggidocumenti
Indicazione importante:
L'apparecchio è preposto esclusivamente ad uso privato in ambienti chiusi
e per un breve esercizio di 2 minuti. Non utilizzare il distruggidocumenti in
ambito commerciale o professionale e mai all’aperto. In caso di un impiego
non conforme sussiste il rischio di incidenti.
L’interruttore generale prevede 3 posizioni. Per mettere in funzione l’apparecchio,
portare l’interruttore in posizione “AUTO“.
1. AUTO (pronto all’esercizio, stand-by): con l’interruttore su “AUTO“
l’apparecchio è pronto all’esercizio. Appena si introduce la carta da frantumare
nella rispettiva apertura di caricamento, l’apparecchio procede
automaticamente alla frantumazione.
Introdurre la carta nell’apertura di caricamento solo con orientamento
DIRITTO, per evitare inceppamenti di carta. Una volta che il gruppo di taglio a
frammenti ha frantumato la carta, l’apparecchio passa automaticamente in
modalità di stand-by. Se l’apparecchio non si spegne automaticamente,
verificare se il cestino per rifiuti è pieno o se nel gruppo di taglio si trovano
ancora residui di carta.
Introdurre la carta solo nelle aperture di caricamento contrassegnate come
tali!
2. REV (marcia indietro): spostando il selettore in posizione “REV“, il gruppo di
taglio si muove all’indietro. La funzione consente di eliminare eventuali
inceppamenti di carta (vedi sezione “Protezione da inceppamenti di carta e
sovraccarichi“).
3. Si consiglia di passare alla posizione OFF (disinserimento) durante lo
svuotamento del cestino per rifiuti o se non si utilizza il distruggidocumenti per
un periodo di tempo prolungato.

Capacità del distruggidocumenti
Il modello GENIE 206 S è in grado di frantumare fino a 6 fogli di carta (DIN A4, 80 g).
La larghezza della carta può variare fino a 21,8 cm. Se si tratta di frantumare carta di
piccole dimensioni, come ad es. buste o ricevute di pagamento, introdurre il
documento al centro nell’apertura di caricamento.
Fare attenzione a non introdurre nell’apertura di caricamento mai più della
quantità massima indicata. Altrimenti l’apparecchio potrebbe danneggiarsi.
Protezione da inceppamenti di carta e sovraccarichi
Il modello GENIE 206 S è dotato di protezione da sovraccarico del motore. Appena la
protezione da sovraccarico del motore scatta, l’alimentazione elettrica
dell’apparecchio viene interrotta. Possibili cause:
Esercizio continuo del distruggidocumenti a massima capacità per un periodo
prolungato, ad es. per oltre 2 minuti senza interruzione.
Superamento della capacità di frantumazione, ad es. introduzione di più di 6
fogli di carta (80 g) in una volta o carta introdotta nell’apertura di caricamento
non in senso longitudinale.
In presenza di una delle circostanze sopra descritte, scatta la protezione da
sovraccarico del motore e il trascinamento del materiale introdotto viene interrotto.
In questi casi procedere come segue:
1. Portare l’interruttore generale in posizione OFF. Per evitare il rischio di
possibili lesioni, scollegare la spina di alimentazione dalla presa a corrente
alternata e attendere minimo 60 minuti fino a quando la protezione da
sovraccarico è ripristinata. Strappare o rimuovere la carta in eccesso che sporge
dal gruppo di taglio.
2. Ricollegare la spina di alimentazione alla presa a corrente alternata e portare
l’interruttore in posizione REV. Liberare le lame del gruppo di taglio dai residui di
carta. Se necessario, ripetere la procedura.

P-2: consigliato per supporti dati con dati interni che devono essere resi illeggibili. Dimensione del
frammento di materiale ≤800 mm² o larghezza della striscia ≤6 mm, lunghezza della striscia non
limitata.
Pulizia
Pericolo! Prima della pulizia, togliere la spina dalla presa di corrente. Pericolo
di scossa elettrica!
Avvertenza! Le lame dell’apparecchio sono molte affilate! Pericolo di lesioni!
1. Svuotare il cestino per rifiuti regolarmente.
2. Pulire il cestino per rifiuti e il distruggidocumenti con un panno leggermente
inumidito e, all’occorrenza, un detergente delicato.
3. Eliminare eventuali residui dalle aperture di caricamento con un oggetto
idoneo. Assicurarsi che la spina di alimentazione sia scollegata. Pericolo
di lesioni!

Le destructeur de documents est conçu exclusivement pour la destruction de papier.
Toute autre utilisation ou modification est considérée comme non conforme à l'emploi
prévu et présente de sérieux risques d'accidents.
Consignes de sécurité IMPORTANTES :
1. Lisez le mode d'emploi avant d'utiliser l'appareil.
2. Pour évitez de vous blesser, n'approchez ni les cheveux ni aucun objet, tel
que vêtement, cravate , bijou ou autre de la fente d'introduction.
3. Débranchez la fiche de secteur du broyeur de documents quand vous ne l'utilisez
pas pendant une période prolongée.
4. Retirez tous les trombones et agrafes avant d'introduire le papier dans
l'appareil.
5. Pour évitez de vous blesser, n'approchez ni les doigts ni les mains de la
fente d'introduction.
6. Placez l'appareil aussi près que possible qu'une prise de courant.
7. Il faut toujours éteindre le broyeur de documents et le débrancher avant de le
placer à un autre endroit, le transporter ou le nettoyer, et avant de vider la corbeille à
papier recueillant les documents détruits.

8. Videz régulièrement la corbeille à papier disposée sous le broyeur de documents
afin d'éviter les bourrages de papier. Débranchez l'appareil avant de vider la corbeille
à papier recueillant les documents détruits.
9. Attention : Ce broyeur de documents ne convient pas pour la destruction de CD,
DVD , cassettes et disquettes.
10. En présence d'enfants ou d'animaux domestiques, ne laissez pas le
broyeur de documents sans surveillance.
11. Le broyeur de documents peut seulement déchiqueter du papier. N'introduisez
pas d'autres objets dans l'appareil. Le papier doit être propre et sec.
12. N'ouvrez jamais l'appareil. En cas de problèmes, veuillez appeler la hotline de
notre S.A.V.
13. Vous ne devez pas faire fonctionner l'appareil avec un câble d'alimentation
défectueux.
14. L'appareil est conçu exclusivement pour une utilisation dans des locaux fermés.
15. Ne vaporisez pas de gaz ni d'huiles inflammables sur le broyeur de
documents, car cela pourrait provoquer un incendie.
16. Débranchez l'appareil du secteur quand vous ne l'utilisez pas.
Remarque : Pour obtenir un résultat optimal et protéger l'appareil, nous
recommandons au client d'utiliser l'appareil pendant 2 minutes, puis de suspendre
l'utilisation pendant 60 minutes.
