1 Notes
1.1 Important safety instructions
To ensure personal safety, it is important to follow these safety instructions.
XKeep these instructions.
àOnly specialists authorised by GEZE are permitted to carry out installation, commissioning and maintenance
work.
àUnauthorised modications to the system release GEZE from liability for any resulting damages.
àGEZE makes no guarantee in the event of combinations with third-party products. In addition, only original
GEZE parts may be used for repair and maintenance work.
àConnection to the mains voltage must be carried out by a qualied electrician. The mains connection and
equipment ground conductor test must be performed in accordance with VDE 0100 Part 610.
XThe customer must install a circuit breaker as a mains separator, whose rated value is aligned to the type, pro-
le, method of installation and the ambient conditions of the local power supply line. The circuit breaker must
have a minimum and maximum rating between 4 A and 16 A.
àAttach safety stickers to glass leaves (mat. no. 081476).
XIn accordance with Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC, a safety analysis must be performed and the door system
must be identied in accordance with CE Identication Directive 93/68/EEC before the door system is commis-
sioned.
àObserve the latest versions of directives, standards and country-specic regulations, in particular:

1.2 Installation notes
àThe drive is designed exclusively for use in dry rooms.
XOnly use the cables prescribed in the cable plan provided. Lay shields in accordance with the wiring diagram.
XAlways use insulated wire-end ferrules for wire cores.
XInsulate wires that are not used.
XSecure loose, internal drive cables with cable ties.
XObserve the maximum permitted overall current drain required to supply the periphery.
1.3 Safe operation
XSecure the workplace against unauthorised entry.
XPay attention to the swivelling range of long system parts.
XSecure the cover/drive shrouding against falling.
XBefore working on the electrical system, disconnect the power supply (mains and battery) and check that no
voltage is present. Note that if an uninterruptible power supply (UPS) is used, the system will still be supplied
with power despite the fact that the power supply is disconnected.
àRisk of injury by moving parts (drawing in of hair, clothing, ...) when a drive is opened.
àRisk of injury caused by unsecured crushing, impact, drawing-in or shearing spots.
àRisk of injury caused by sharp edges in the drive.
àRisk of injury due to glass breakage.
àDanger of injury through link arm or lever arm snapping back. Disconnect motor from the control only if
spring is relaxed.
àOnly operate the drive with a connected latching action switch.
1.4 Inspection of installed system
XCheck the measures for securing or preventing crushing, impact, shearing or pull-in spots.
XCheck the function of the presence sensors and movement detectors.
XCheck the protective earth connection to all metal parts that can be touched.

1.5 Disposal of the door system
àThe door system is made up of materials that should be sent for recycling.
The individual components have to be sorted in accordance with their material type.

The parts can be disposed of at the local recycling depot or by a scrap recycling company.

XIn the case of 2-leaf systems, connect the safety sensors of the active leaf with the active leaf control and those
of the passive leaf with the passive leaf control.
XInstall the sensor for monitoring closing on the door leaf, opposite hinge side.
If the SIS is activated during closing, the door reverses and opens again.
XInstall the sensor for monitoring opening on the door leaf, hinge side.
The door stops if the SIO is activated during opening.
For detection, the sensor output is open (GND applied to SIS or SIO input).
XCheck the function and correct setting of the sensors during commissioning and when servicing the assembly.
àTo operate the display programme switch DPS see chapter 28.4“Display programme switch (DPS)”.
àTo operate the service terminal ST220 see chapter 28.1“Service terminal ST220”.
The state of the drive to which the ST220 is connected is displayed.
XPress the key.
XSelect "Active leaf para" or "Fixed leaf para" using the or key and press the key.
XIn the selection menu, use the or key to select "Signals" and then press the key.
For further settings see the descriptions below.
The wall blanking range of the safety sensor SIO is set automatically during the teaching procedure.
If necessary, it can be changed with DPS or ST220 via the service menu, with
àDPS: Set the parameter aB to the desired wall blanking range (1° to 99°)
àST220: Set "Input signals", "SI3 – terminal SIO1", "SI3 wall blanking area" to the desired value (1° to 99°).

1 Status LED
2 Teaching button
àThe radio reception board WRB-5 can optionally be plugged onto the DCU800 control.
àThe radio receiver has the two channels FK1 and FK2.
àThe keys on the wireless transmitter can be taught separately using the teaching button on the radio receiver.
àA maximum of 12 transmitters can be stored per channel in the memory of the receiver.
If more than 12 transmitters are taught, the 12th transmitter is always overwritten.
àOnly one button can be assigned per transmitter to one radio channel.
àIf both radio channels are assigned to one transmitter button, only radio channel FK1 is connected when the
button is pressed.
àWhen the receiver has received and decoded a valid transmission signal, it connects the corresponding output
as long as the transmission signal is received, however at least for one second.
àIf the teaching button (TEACH) of the radio reception board is pressed for longer than 5 s, the taught transmit-
ters of both channels are deleted.
9.1 Radio channels
9.1.1 Radio channel FK1
The function of the radio channel FK1 depends on how long the assigned button is pressed.
àIf the button is pressed for less than 5 s, the function is similar to that of the contact sensor input KI.
àIf the button is pressed for longer than 5 s, the control changes to the DO operation mode. After the button
has been pressed again for 5 s, the control changes back to the AU operation mode.
The remote control does not work in the NA operation mode or in service mode.

Activating teaching
XPress the teach button on the radio reception board for about 1 s.
The LED will ash 1x per second.
The memory for the channel 1 is selected.
XPress the corresponding button on the radio transmitter briey within 30seconds.
The LED will light up briey as conrmation. The radio transmitter has been taught successfully and teaching is
nished.
If further radio transmitters are to be taught to channel 1, the steps must be repeated.

9.1.2 Radio channel FK2
The function of the radio channel FK2 is identical to that of actuation input KB.
Activating teaching
XPress the teach button on the radio reception board for about 1 s.

The LED will ash 2x per second.
The memory for the channel 2 is selected.
XPress the corresponding button on the radio transmitter briey within 30seconds.

If further radio transmitters are to be taught to channel 2, the steps must be repeated.

9.2 Insert the radio reception board WRB-5 to the control circuit board DCU800
XPress spacer (2) onto the control circuit board DCU800 (3).
XSet the radio reception board WRB-5 (1) onto spacer (2) and connector strip (4).
XMove the aerial to the right position, see gure.
