Many GM owners with Slave units Cassette, Single CD, or CD
Changer) will be pleased to know that they can now upgrade the
audio system to support Bluetooth Audio Streaming. This requires
sacrificing usage of the Slave unit which must remain connected but
will no longer play. A wireless connection means no wires, clutter or
complicated setup. All the user has to do is install the adapter to the
radio or slave unit), pair their Smartphone or Tablet and enjoy their

Remove GM Radio from dashboard to gain access to the 9-way
connector. Vehicle specific radio removal instructions are not
part of this guide, but may be available upon request)
1. With radio removed, disconnect the slave unit 9-way plug
from the radio See Fig.

2. Connect the 9-way slave unit plug from step 1 to the
connector on adapter harness See Fig. 3

3. For Radios with 32-way connector; connect the A2D-GM1
at the slave unit usually CD Changer)
4. Secure adapter box with included wire ties and proceed to
next section.

The pairing process varies from Phone to Phone but the basic steps
are the same. This process is done upon initial install and will not
have to be repeated

2. Load a CD or Cassette in the slave unit
3. Press the “TAPE/AUX”

5. Use the radio volume control button to set the playback level.
If distorted, lower volume on audio device or if inaudible,

the Radio. Use the smartphone built-in controls to access and
control the audio files.
6. If correct operation is confirmed go ahead and reinstall the
Radio.

factory wiring integrity. With the A2D-GM1 disconnected, the Slave
unit will work just as it did prior to installing the adapter.
