Congratulations on your purchase of an FI Cleaner
Tool. Products from HealTech Electronics Ltd. are
the most advanced aftermarket accessories and
maintenance tools for motorcycles.
The FI Cleaner Tool is compatible with a wide range
of the current Euro 4 emission class motorcycles
(2017 onwards, depending on make/model).
The engine management system monitors
various sensors of the motorcycle. Whenever
there’s a fault in the system, the FI light will come
and stay on even if the fault condition no longer
exists, e.g. a loose connector was reconnected.
It takes several full running cycles and a lot of
time to get the error cleared without an OBD Tool.
This is when the FIC Tool comes in very handy
for workshops – it saves a lot of time whenever
working on a motorcycle. It is much quicker and
more convenient to use the FIC Tool for clearing
errors than using an OBD Tool.
Note:
- The FIC Tool will not clear the FI light if the error
is still active. However, it will clear it in a few
seconds if the problem has been resolved.
- The FIC Tool will not clear the error history (stored
errors) from the ECU, so it will still be possible to
troubleshoot recurring problems later.
- The FIC Tool does not connect to the ABS ECU,
therefore it will not clear the ABS error light.

Locate the diagnostic connector of the bike, usually near the ECU module. Normally it has a removable
cap or “dummy” plug (without wires) attached to it. If in doubt, refer to the bike’s Service Manual.
Make sure the ignition key is in OFF position. Connect the FIC Tool.
Have the engine stop switch in the RUN position, gearbox in Neutral. Turn the ignition key ON. No need
to start the engine.
The bicolor LED on the FIC tool shows the current status:
Turn the ignition key OFF. When maintenance is complete on the vehicle, disconnect the FIC Tool by
releasing the locking latch first to separate the connectors. Do NOT pull the cables.
Turn the ignition key OFF, wait about 3 seconds and try once more.
If it does not help, it means there’s no communication to the ECU.
Ensure you have connected the unit to the diagnostic connector.
Check both connectors for loose or bent contacts, then reconnect
and start the engine. If communication cannot be established, the
unit is not compatible with this motorcycle. The most probable
cause is that the vehicle is not EURO4 compliant.
The error can not be cleared, the fault is still present.
With the FIC Tool connected, do one run cycle (take a short ride so the
engine warms up completely) and turn the ignition key OFF. If the
FIC Tool still can not clear the error on the next power up, connect
an OBD Tool to read the error code.

If you see the FI light disappearing on the dashboard, it is safe to
turn the ignition key now to speed up the process.
