ELECTRONIC AIR CLEANER
LIPPLICATION
The
W834
is a low-voltage control and indication
xmel for use in Electronic Air Cleaner installation:;.
The W834A is used with Electronic Air Cleaner Pack:-
Lge Y502B and the W834B is used
with
the Y504. The
3mel provides living area supervision of Air Cleaner
xzrformance and the W834A also
provides
manual con-
x01 of fan operation.

FAN SWITCH (W834Aonly): Spstslide switch.
TERMINALS: Screw-type, color coded.

MOUNTING: Surface, with screws “1‘adhesive plate;
on 2 by 4 inch outlet box with Bag Assembly 211365
which must be ordered separately. See Figure 2
for methodof assembly.

The W834 consists of a basic panel assembly and a
snap-on coyer. when remoting the COYBI, pull out
the top first.
Run
color-coded thermostat cable from the Air
Cleaner junction box to the
W834
installation location.
MOUNTING
Select several attractive locations for the W834
Staius Control Panel. Let the homeowner make the
final choice, but be sure the WE34 is ins~lled in an
eye-catching position. Check to see that obsiaclos
such as ducts, plumbing and wiring wili not hinder
installation.
For directwall mountingwith screws, use ihe W834
Panel base as a template, 01‘ see Fig. 1 for mounting
hole dimensions and leadwire entrance hole location.
If the W834 is to be mounted with the adhesive wall
s remove the protective backing from the wall

CHECK light: Indicates that it. is past time to wash
the electronic cell (and optional collector cell, if used)
in Ihe Air Cleaner. This lirrht also shows the bome-
cnvne~ when a recently was&d cell needs additional
drying time: 01’ when electrical service is required.
When the relative humidity is very high, this light
may stay energized for extended periods.
SCREEN light: Indicates a clogged condition at the
protective screen. The light is turned on by the 3130
Filter Flag* Indicalor and is powered by a trans-
former in the Air Cleaner Power Dear. The proiec-
Live screen is normally cleaned whenever the elec-
tronic cell is washed so ii may never be&me clogged
and this light may never turn on.

FAN SWITCH (W834A only): Provides a convenieni
meant of manually turning onthe system fan and Air
Cleaner to have
constant
air circulation in Ihe home
without having io walk to the fan controller at the
furnace. Used only ii a similar switch is not provided
at Ihe thermostat.
When the ON position is selected, the fan and Air
Cleaner operate continuously. When the AUTO posi-
tion is selected, the fan and Air Clemer operate auto-
matically with the beating or cooling equipment.
INDICATOR BULB REPLACEMENT
TO replace, remove ihe cover of the W834, unscrew
the burned-out bulband screw in a new bulb, Part No.
119580. Replace tile cover.
