oriented on handle shank so that it will secure drawer unit when handle is horizontal on drawer (see note
#2).
8). Remove 3rd row seat(s) from vehicle and fold second row seats forward.
9) With cargo hatch open, remove the two cargo tie-down loops from the cargo area using a T50 Torx
wrench. Position the two short 1” rounds spacers (provided) in the recesses where tie-down loops were
removed. The storage box will later be positioned over these stand-offs and bolted into place.
10) Position a long nut plate (has 3 drilled/tapped holes) under each of the most forward 3rd seat brackets
located on each side of the cargo area (see note #3). Note positioning of nut plate in the photo and situate nut
plate accordingly with the stamped “F” on the nut plate toward the front of the vehicle.
11) Place the two provided 1/2” X 1” X 3-1/2” clamp plates over 3rd seat mounting rods, positioning them
above each nut plate (see note #4). Note that clamp is positioned over the two drilled/tapped holes in the nut
plate that are closest to the rear of the vehicle.
12) Insert two (2) of the 3/8” X 1-1/2” Hex Bolts and flat washers through each clamp, threading them into
Nut Plates. Take care to insure that the Nut Plates/Clamps are positioned so that they will be pulled against
both of the 3rd seat mounting rods when bolts are tightened (review positioning in note #4). Do not tighten at
this time.
13) Remove Access Panel from rear of Storage Box using a 1/8” Allen Wrench. Carefully slide Storage Box
into cargo area.
14) Position Channel Iron horizontally over the forward set of holes in the nut plate and insert the two (2)
3/8” X 2-3/4” Hex Bolts and flat washers through the 2 holes in the channel iron, threading them into Nut
Plates (see note #5). Do not tighten at this time.
15) Insert the two, 4” pieces of strap so that one piece is centered under each end of the Channel Iron where
Channel Iron contacts Storage Box (see note #5).
16) Install M10 X 60 Allen bolts and washers through case and 1” round spacers and into threaded holes that
held tie-down loops. (It may be necessary to raise the front of the box to allow bolt to start) Tighten
securely.
17) Evenly tighten all eight bolts, do not over tighten.
18) Guide drawer back into drawer slides and re-insert detent pins.
19) Install Drawer Liner (foam) into drawer.
20) Install Cargo Liner by first centering liner on top of Drawer Unit. Then, insert the Cargo Liner Retention
Block into the recess molded into the cargo liner. Using the Phillips Head Screwdriver, install the three #8 X
1-1/4” Stainless Steel Wood Screws through the holes in the Retention Block and into the top of the Storage
Box (see note #6). Take care to make sure the liner is center before attaching.
21) Your Storage Box should be treated as you would the exterior of your vehicle. Wash with gentle soap
and water and rinse well. The easiest way to clean the drawer liner or cargo liner is with a damp cloth or
sponge. If using a cleaner, 409® or Glass Plus® work well. The use or Armor All®, Son-of-a-Gun® or
similar items is discouraged as the products make the liner slick.
22) Your Husky Storage Box comes with a limited one-year warranty. Winfield Consumer Products
warrants its SUV Storage Box to be free from defects in material and workmanship of the product for one
year, from the date of purchase, with proof of purchase.
