Before Use
Attaching the Antenna
1. Placethecolorringontheantennaconnector.
2. Puttheantennaontheantennaconnector.
3. Rotatetheantennaclockwisetillhandtight.
Caution
Do not hold the radio by the antenna, because it may reduce the radio performance and
life span of the antenna.
Installing the Micro-SIM Card and Micro-SD Card
1. Openthecardslotcoveronthetopofthebatterycompartment.
2. Installthemicro-SIMcard.
a. Pullthemicro-SIMcardtrayoutoftheslot,andplacetheSIMcardwiththegold
contactsfacinguponthetray.
b. InsertthecardtraywiththeSIMcardbackintotheslot.
3. (Optional)Insertthemicro-SDcardintothecorrespondingslot.
4. Putthecardslotcoverbackinplace.

To re-install the micro-SD card, take the card out completely, and then re-insert it to the
slot.
Attaching the Belt Clip
1. Aligntherailsonthebeltclipwiththegroovesonthebattery.
2. Pressthebeltclipdownwardsintoplace.

Attaching the Battery
1. Pushthebatteryuntilitisfullyttedintotheslot.
2. Pressthebatterylatchuntilitisfullyttedintotheradio.
Charging the Battery
Caution
●Read the Safety Information Booklet before charging.
●Use the approved charger to charge the battery.
●The remaining lithium-ion battery power is limited to 30% pursuant to the new lithium
battery shipment regulation approved by International Air Transport Association
(IATA).
Beforeinitialuse,fullychargethebatterytoensureoptimumperformance.Youcancharge
theradiowithbatteryattachedorchargethebatteryalone.

Todeterminethe chargingstatus,check theLED indicatoronthechargeraccordingtothe
followingtable:

Basic Operations
Turning the Radio On or O
Toturntheradioon,pressandholdtheOn-O/Endkeyuntilthesplashscreenappears.
Toturntheradioo,doasfollows:
1. PressandholdtheOn-O/Endkeyuntilthepower-oselectionscreenappears.
2. TapDevice Power O,andthentapSure.
Adjusting the Volume
Toadjustthevolume,directlyrotatetheSmart Knob.
Selecting Channels or Contacts
1. PresstheSmart Knob.
2. Rotatetheknobtoselecttherequiredchannelorcontact.
Note
If you do not operate the knob within 5s, it automatically returns to the volume control

InNBmode,onlythetopscreenison.Theradioaccessesonlyprivatenetworkservices.The
NBmodeincludesthefollowingtwotypes:
●Conventionalmode:Theradiocommunicateswithoneormoreotherradiosdirectly
withoutusinganetwork.
●Trunkingmode:Theradiocommunicateswithoneormoreotherradiosoveranetwork.
ToswitchthespecificNBmode,gotoSettings>PMR>Work mode,andthentap
ConventionalorTrunking.
