Before switching on this device, make sure that the power supply is
220V / 240VAC 50Hz.
Your supplier does not take any responsibility if the safety norms are
not followed.
Always disconnect power supply before handling anything inside the
device.
Do not use this device without earth connection.
The device has to be connected by authorised and fully trained
personnel only.
After modify or verifying a function always check the machine.

Introduction
Introduction
This manual contains informationaboutthe installation, menuprogramming and maintenance of the
different machines whichare controlled bythe Vend Master System (VMS) 1, as there are change
machines, ticket and token dispensers.Allthese machines have one thing incommon: after inserting a
certainamount of coins it returns the amountand/or a product to the value corresponding to that of the
amount of inserted coins. As the controlsystems ofthe machines described inthis manual are similar,
all are equipped withVMS-1 circuit boards. The controland programming depend onthe software and
the model of the machine. General programming is described inthis manual.
Read this manual carefullyto guarantee flawless operation.
Always indicate the model and serial number whenasking for more information about your machine!!
Connection possibilities
§ One input to connect the coinsystem or the banknote reader.
§ Two outputs to control ticket dispensers and/or coin hoppers.
The maximum accepted quantityof coins/banknotes depends onthe system; the coins/banknote to be
accepted are: € 0,05, € 0,10, € 0,20, € 0,50, € 1,00, € 2,00 // € 5,00, € 10,00, € 20,00, € 50,00.
The coins to be returned mayinclude anyof the above mentioned.
When requested the system canbe prepared to accept and returnother coins or foreignmoney.
Depending onthe type of machine, various coinand/or banknotes reader systems canbe installed to
allow the admittance of different types of coins and/or banknote.
Coin system models:
§ Mechanic coinmeter WH-N1, maximum admittance 1 type of coin.
§ Electronic coin meter WH 800.00, maximum admittance 6 types of coins.
Banknote reader models:
§ Banknote reader Smile
§ Banknote reader CVI(GPT-2/GPT+), always witha banknote stacker
§ Banknote reader Ardac
§ Banknote reader Armatic
Money and/or ticket return units:
§ Coin hopper Asahi Seiko SA-595
§ Ticket dispenser Asahi Seiko CD-200
§ Coin-Control hopper C-24/MK-2

We recommend youto take into account the following points to guarantee correct functioning of the
machine:
· Installthe machine ina visible busyplace;
· Fixthe machine to a solid and smoothwall, or use the optional installationcolumn;
· Make sure the machine is perfectlylevel;
· Connect the machine to a cleangroup withearthconnection;
· The connectionof the machine should be permanent(withoutsocket) or to a wall socket well outof the
user’s reach.

§ Switchthe machine off.
§ Fillthe hopper(s) and/or the dispensers with coins and/or tickets.
§ Switchthe machine on.
§ Test the change machine withvarious types of coins or banknotes.
§ Change the menuif wrong values are returned.
Incase youhave a machine which returns 2 types of coins / products it is veryimportant that each
hopper /dispenser is filled withthe correct coins / tickets.

The coin hoppers
The coin hopper(s) is/are the coinunit(s) of the machine; these have to be filled withcoins to guarantee
correct functioning of the machine. There are two copper plates, located in the lower part of the hopper,
to show whenit is empty. These copper plates always have to be covered bycoins to avoid the
activationof the 'empty' signal. Like this, there are always enoughcoins left,and youcanrefillbefore the
'empty' signal is activated.

Maintenance
Preventive maintenance depends onthe locationof the machine and onhow frequentlyit is used.
§ The coin hopper(s) do(es) not need anytype of maintenance provided that no rubbish(paper etc.) is
introduced at filling it/them.
§ The ticket dispensers require onlylittle maintenance, depending onwhether paper or plastic tickets
are used.
§ The electronic and mechanic coinmeters canget slightlydirtyindustyplaces; this mayaffect the coin
admittance. Therefore, the mainmaintenance measure consists incleaning the coinshafts withan
alcohol based, non-greasyand non-aggressive liquid.
§ The electronic card reader has to be cleaned quite frequently(depending onhow frequentlyit is used)
bymeans of a special cleaning card to avoid interference withthe transactions.
We recommend youto contact the supplier of the machine withregard to the maintenance of
banknote readers and ticket dispensers; he will inform youabout a maintenance contract.
