Tool Assembly
Connect the tool to the control unit following
this steps:
1. Insert and push the guide nozzle until the end
and tighten the screw.
2. Connect the jack.
Solder Wire Loading
1. Put the solder reel into its support.
2. Introduce the solder wire into the inlet nozzle
until it reaches the wheels.
3. Use the Tin Reload Process in Main Menu by
pressing the tool button
The Relaod Procees screen opens.
4. Make sure the wire passes through the Inter-
mediate Nozzle and enters into the Guide Tube.

Changing Guide Sets
1. Assemble the counter wheel (1).
2. Insert the intermediate nozzle (2) until its collar
rests against the housing and tighten the screw.
3. Assemble the inlet nozzle (3).
4. Assemble the guide wheel (4) and tighten the
screw.
5. Assemble the blade first, then mount the
blade clamp (5) onto the same axis and tighten
the screw. Caution: handle the blade carefully
to avoid injury.

Changing Wheels and Blade
For this operation, disconnect the device from the mains. Disconnect the tool from the control unit
and open its cover.
First disassemble the guide tube (6), the nozzles (2)+(3), then the Wheels, Blade and Clamp (4)+(5).
Disassemble the Counter Wheel (1). Use the allen key and the spanner, provided with SF.
1. Assemble the counter wheel (1).
2. Insert the intermediate nozzle (2) until its collar
rests against the housing and tighten the screw.
3. Assemble the inlet nozzle (3).
4. Assemble the traction wheel (4) onto the axis
and tighten the screw.
5. Assemble the support wheel (5) and tighten
the screw.

Replacing the Guide Tube
Once the tool is disconnected from the control unit follow the instructions below:
1. Disassemble the outlet nozzle (1) from the guide tube.
2. Open the guide clamp (2), take off the guide tube (3) and insert the new one.
Note: The guide tube length can be easily adjusted (4) when the guide clamp knob (2) is open.
4. Once the guide tube length is adjusted close the guide clamp knob (2).
5. Assemble the outlet nozzle (1) onto the guide tube tip.

Control Process
Choose between continuous, discontinuous and program mode:
Program Mode
With the SF you can define up to 35 dynamic programs. In each one you can configure up to 3
steps with different lenght wire and dispensing speed.
Execute them sequentially and cyclically with the ‘Edit Concatenation List’ option.

Safety
- Do not use the units for any purpose other than soldering or rework. Incorrect use may cause fire.
- The power cord must be plugged into approved bases. Be sure that it is properly grounded before
use. When unplugging it, hold the plug, not the wire.
- Do not work on electrically live parts.
- The tool should be placed in the stand when not in use in order to activate the sleep mode. The
soldering tip or nozzle, the metal part of the tool and the stand may still be hot even when the station
is turned off. Handle with care, including when adjusting the stand position.
- Do not leave the appliance unattended when it is on.
- Do not cover the ventilation grills. Heat can cause inflamable products to ignite.
- Avoid flux coming into contact with skin or eyes to prevent irritation.
- Be careful with the fumes produced when soldering.
- Keep your workplace clean and tidy. Wear appropriate protection glasses and gloves when working
to avoid personal harm.
- Utmost care must be taken with liquid tin waste which can cause burns.
- This appliance can be used by children over the age of eight and also persons with reduced physical,
sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience provided that they have been given adequate
supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance and understand the hazards involved.
Children must not play with the appliance.
- Maintenance must not be carried out by children unless supervised.
It is imperative to follow safety guidelines to prevent electric
shock, injury, fire or explosion.

Before carrying out maintenance, always allow
the equipment to cool down.
- Clean the station screen with a glass cleaner
or a damp cloth.
- Use a damp cloth to clean the casing and the
tool. Alcohol can only be used to clean the
metal parts.
- Periodically check all cables and tubes.
- Replace a blown fuse as follows:

- Replace any defective or damaged parts. Use original JBC spare parts only.
- Repairs should only be performed by a JBC authorized technical service.
1. Pull off the fuse holder out and remove the
worn fuse. If necessary use a tool to lever it off.
2. Insert the new fuse into the fuse holder and
assemble it to the station.
