SAFETY INFORMATION
For your safety, read this manual thoroughly
before operating with the Wheel Balancer
This Wheel Balancer is intended for use by properly trained automotive techni-
cians. The safety messages presented in this section and throughout the ma-
nual are reminders to the operator to exercise extreme caution when servicing
tires with these products.
There are many variations in procedures, techniques, tools, and parts for ba-
lancing tires, as well as the skill of the individual doing the work. Because of
the vast number of wheel and tire applications and potential uses of the pro-
duct, the manufacturer cannot possibly anticipate or provide advice or safety
messages to cover every situation. It is the automotive technician’s responsi-
bility to be knowledgeable of the wheels and tires being serviced. It is essential
to use proper service methods in an appropriate and acceptable manner that
does not endanger your safety, the safety of others in the work area or the
equipment or vehicle being serviced.
It is assumed that, prior to using the Wheel Balancer, the operator has a tho-
rough understanding of the wheels and tires being serviced. In addition, it is
assumed he has a thorough knowledge of the operation and safety features
of the rack, lift, or floor jack being utilized, and has the proper hand and power
tools necessary to service the vehicle in a safe manner.
Before using this Wheel Balancer, always refer to and follow the safety messa-
ges and service procedures provided by the manufacturers of the equipment
being used and the vehicle being serviced.

IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
When using this equipment, basic safety precautions should always be followed, in-
cluding the following:
1. Read all instructions.
2. Do not operate equipment with a damaged power cord or if the equipment has been
damaged - until it has been examined by a qualified authorized service technician.
3. If an extension cord is used, a cord with a current rating equal to or more than that of
the machine should be used. Cords rated for less current than the equip- ment may
overheat. Care should be taken to arrange the cord so that it will not be tripped over
or pulled.
4. Always unplug equipment from electrical outlet when not in use. Never use the cord
to pull the plug from the outlet. Grasp plug and pull to disconnect.
5. To reduce the risk of fire, do not operate equipment in the vicinity of open containers
of flammable liquids (gasoline).
6. Keep hair, loose fitting clothing, fingers and all parts of the body away from moving
parts.
7. Adequate ventilation should be provided when working on operating internal combu-
stion engines.
8. To reduce the risk of electric shock, do not use on wet surfaces or expose to rain.
9. Do not hammer on or hit any part of the control panel with weight pliers.
10. Do not allow unauthorized personnel to operate the equipment.
11. Do not disable the hood safety interlock system or bypass the intended operation.
12.
Use only as described in this manual. Use only manufacturer’s recommended attachments.
13. Always securely tighten the wing nut before Spinning the shaft.
14. ALWAYS WEAR SAFETY GLASSES. Everyday eyeglasses only have impact resistant
lenses, they are NOT safety glasses.
15. Balancer is for indoor use only.

3.0 Introduction
This wheel balancer combines advanced, high-
performance technology, robustness and reliability with
very simple, user-friendly operation.
The low rotation speed of the wheel ensures that this
balancer is very safe.
It is characterised by a display and input panel which
are easy to use and guarantee rapid, intuitive operation.
Operator time and effort are reduced to a minimum,
while maintaining accuracy and reliability.
Always work in a clean area and with clean wheels,
no dirt stuck in the tyre or on the rim. That way proper
mounting of the wheel and an optimal balancing result
can be achieved.
Application
The off-the-vehicle wheel balancer is designed for
dynamic and static balancing of passenger car and
light-truck wheels, that fall within the limits stated in
the technical speci!cations.
This is a high accuracy measuring device. Handle
with care.

4.1 The display

1. Rotation indicators of the correction plane.
The indicators show the direction the operator has
to rotate the wheel (by hand) after a balancing run.
2. Weight Application Position (WAP) indicator.
The indicator will light up when the wheel is in the
correct position for weight application. This indicator
will be referred to as the WAP indicator.
Refer to the weight mode selected before applying
a weight!
3. Display.
Depending on the stage of the program the display
gives the operator information about rim sizes,
balancing weights, error codes, etc.
4. Weight units indicator, “Oz”.
The indicator will light if the weight is displayed in
ounces instead of grams.
5. Motorcycle Dynamic and Static Indicator.
The indicator lights up when you activate the
motorcycle wheel balancing program or the single
weight (static mode).
6. Flange compensation.
This indicator lights up when flange compensation
is activated
7. Weight Position Indicator.
Apply a clip-on weight to the rim at the position

Les indicateurs indiquent la direction vers laquelle
l’opérateur doit tourner la roue (manuellement)
après un équilibrage.
2. Indicateur (WAP) Position de la Pose des
Masses
L’indicateur s’allume quand la roue est dans la
position correcte pour la pose des masses. Cet
indicateur est appelé indicateur WAP.
Se reporter au type de roue sélectionné avant de
poser la masse !
3. Affichage
Lors des différentes étapes du programme
l’af"chage donne à l’opérateur des renseignements
sur la taille des jantes, les masses d’équilibrage,
les codes erreur, etc.
4. Indicateur “Oz” d’unités de poids
Cet indicateur s’allume si le poids est af"ché en
onces au lieu de grammes.

El indicador se iluminará cuando la rueda esté en

este indicador nos referimos con el nombre WAP.
¡Consulte el tipo de rueda antes de aplicar el peso!
3. Pantalla.
Dependiendo de la fase del programa la pantalla
facilita información al operador sobre los tamaños
de llanta, los pesos de equilibrado, códigos de
error, etc.
4. Indicador de unidades de Peso, “Oz”.
El indicador se ilumina si el peso en pantalla se
visualiza en onzas en lugar de gramos.
5. Indicador movimiento Dinámico y Estático
El indicador se ilumina al activar el programa para
el equilibrado del movimiento de las ruedas.
6. Compensación de la brida.
Este indicador se ilumina al activar la compensación
de la brida.
7. Indicador de Posición Peso.
Aplicar un peso de clip o adhesivo en la posición
de la llanta indicada cuando el indicador WAP de
este plano se enciende.

1. Diameter key with indicator.
Press to select “rim diameter” mode, the current
diameter or “dia” value will appear and the unit
will beep.
The current value will be shown on the display and
can be edited.
2. Width key with indicator.
Press to select “rim width” mode, the [¦- - -¦] symbol
will appear, representing the width value and the
unit will beep.
The current value will be shown on the display and
can be edited.
3. Offset key with indicator.
Press to select “Offset” mode, the ---I or current
offset value will appear and the unit will beep.
4. + key.
To increase an input value (e.g. rim diameter, offset,
rim width).
Hold the key down to increase the values shown
automatically.
5. - key.
To decrease an input value (e.g. rim diameter,
offset, rim width).
Hold down the key to reduce the values shown
automatically.
6. Function key.
Activates the second function of multi-function keys
(indicated by the graphics on the lower section of
the keys). Press this key and F appears on the
left display then disappears when you press one
of the function keys. The F on the display also
disappears when you press the function key again
(it is sometimes used like enter).
7. Fine key (Lens)
Press to toggle the read-out accuracy between
Normal, i.e. 25, 50 or 100 grams (0,5,1 or 2 oz)
depending on the registered value and Fine i.e. 10
grams (0.5oz) regardless of the registered value.
The unit will beep. Release the key to return to
normal accuracy. F+Fine key activates the car
wheel optimisation and minimisation operation.

F+Fine key; activates the PRO MATCH function,
optimisation and minimisation procedure.

7. Fine key (Lens)
Press to toggle the read-out accuracy between
Normal, i.e. 0,5,1 or 2 oz (25, 50 or 100 grams)
depending on the registered value and Fine i.e.
0.5oz (10 grams) regardless of the registered
value. The unit will beep. Release the key to return
to normal accuracy. F+Fine key activates the car
wheel optimisation and minimisation operation. The
unit will beep.

Pour diminuer la valeur d’entrée (par ex. diamètre
de jante, déport, largeur de jante).
Maintenir pour changer automatiquement la valeur

6. Touche Fonction
Presser cette touche pour activer la seconde
fonction de touches multi-fonction (graphiquement
visualisé dans la partie inférieure des touches
mêmes). L’’indication “F” sur l’affichage à la
gauche Il sera af!ché lorsque la touche “F” sera
sélectionné. L’indication “F” disparaîtra en pressant
de nouveau la touche, (parfois la touche est utilisée
aussi comme fonction de “ENTER”).
7. Touche fine (Loupe)
Appuyer sur cette touche pour basculer la précision
de lecture entre le Normal, c’est-à-dire 25, 50 ou
100 grammes (0,5, 1 o 2 oz), selon le valeur relevée
et 10 grammes (0,5 oz), indépendamment de la
valeur relevée. . La machine émet un bip sonore.
Relâcher la touche pour revenir à la précision
normale.
F+Fine ; active la fonction “PRO MATCH”,
procédure de la optimisation et minimisation.

4.2 El panel de mandos

1. Tecla de Diámetro con indicador.
Pulse para seleccionar el modo de “diámetro de
la llanta, aparecerá “día”, el valor del diámetro
corriente y la unidad emitirá un sonido, bip.
El valor actual se muestra en pantalla para que

2. Tecla de ancho con indicador.
Pulse para seleccionar el modo de “ancho de la
llanta”, aparecerá el símbolo I---I el valor de ancho
y la unidad emitirá un sonido, bip.

3. Tecla de desequilibrio con indicador.
Pulse para seleccionar el modo “Desequilibrio”
(“Offset”). Aparecerá la indicación “[- - -¦]”, el valor
de desequilibrado corriente y la unidad emitirá un
sonido, bip.
4. Tecla +.
Para aumentar un valor de entrada (p. Ej. diámetro
de llanta, desequilibrio, ancho de llanta).
Mantenga la tecla pulsada para cambiar el valor
indicado automáticamente.
5. Tecla -.
Para disminuir el valor introducido (p. Ej. ancho de
llanta, desequilibrio, diámetro de llanta).
Mantenga presionado para cambiar el valor
indicado automáticamente.
6. Tecla de Función
Para activar la segunda función de las teclas
multifunción (indicada grá!camente en la parte
baja de las teclas). Al pulsarla hace aparecer F en
la pantalla de la izquierda, si se vuelve a pulsar otra
tecla función la F desaparece. Esta letra también
desaparece volviendo a pulsar la tecla por segunda
vez ( a veces se usa como ENTER).

Pulse para intercambiar la precisión de la lectura
entre Normal, es decir, 25, 50 ó 100 gramos (0,5,
1 ó 2 oz) según el valor medido y Fine, es decir,
10 gramos (0,5 oz) independientemente del valor
medido. La unidad emitirá un sonido bip. Soltar la
tecla para regresar a la precisión normal. Pulsando
F y a continuación la tecla Fine se activa la función
de optimización del equilibrado y minimización de
las ruedas de automóviles.

8. Weight key
Press to select the required weight application
mode (weight mode), the unit will beep.
F+Weight key; activates the Motorcycles wheel
balancing Mode.
9. Stop key.
Press to stop spinning the wheel.
The STOP key also has an emergency stop
function.
10.g/oz key.
Toggles between reading in grams and in ounces,
and vice versa.
F+g/oz; activates the C-Code functions (refer to
Chapter 5.10), special user functions.
11.Static/Dynamic key.
Toggles between dynamic and static modes.
Stat/Dyn key activates the function for balancing
with a stick-on counterweight inside the tyre.
The INT LED on the panel lights up.
Note: The Static mode can only be selected after
the measuring run.
12.SWM key, hidden weight split and mm/inch Key
Press to select the SWM function, hidden weight
split. This can only be activated after selecting the
ALU2P/ALU3P application mode.
In combination with the “F” key, toggles between
readings in inches (default setting) and millimeters.
13.START key.
Starts the machine spinning the wheel.
4.3 Main shaft lock

The main shaft is locked when the pedal is depressed.
This facilitates tightening or untightening of the
clamping nut and retains the wheel in the correction
position for correct !tting of the balance weights.
Note:
This lock is designed only to facilitate orientation
of the wheel and must not be used for braking the
main shaft.
