Gooseneck Microphone

These instructions are intended for users with
basic knowledge of audio technology. Please
read these instructions carefully prior to opera-
tion and keep them for later reference.
1 Applications
The electret gooseneck microphone GM-5212SW is
specifically designed for use on desktops, lecterns
and mixers (e.g. for conferences, presentations or
talkback applications). It can be directly connected
to the audio device used (e.g. mixer) or via a micro-
phone desktop base. Power is supplied to the mi-
crophone via the audio device connected or via the
desktop base.
2 Important Notes
The product corresponds to all relevant directives of
the EU and is therefore marked with .
The product corresponds to the relevant UK legisla-
tion and is therefore marked with UKCA.
•
The product is suitable for indoor use only. Protect
it against dripping water, splash water and high
air humidity. The admissible ambient temperature
range is 0–40°C.
•
For cleaning the product only use a dry, soft cloth;
never use water or chemicals.
•
No guarantee claims for the product and no liability
for any resulting personal damage or material dam-
age will be accepted if the product is not correctly
used or not expertly repaired.
If the product is to be put out of opera-
tion definitively, dispose of the product in
accordance with local regulations.
3 Before Operation
1) Place the windshield on the microphone.
2) Connect the microphone to an XLR microphone
input on the audio device used: either connect the
microphone directly to the microphone input of
the device or to the input of a microphone desktop
base, then connect the output of the base to the
microphone input of the device. The microphone
requires a supply voltage which must be provided via
the microphone input (12–48 V phantom power)
or via batteries in the desktop base.
3) Bend the gooseneck so that the microphone is
optimally adjusted to the person speaking.
4) To switch the microphone on and off, press the
button on the red LED ring (☞fig.1). When the
microphone is switched on, the LED ring lights up.

Diese Anleitung richtet sich an Benutzer mit
Grundkenntnissen in der Audiotechnik. Bitte
lesen Sie die Anleitung vor dem Betrieb gründ-
lich durch und heben Sie sie für ein späteres
Nachlesen auf.
1 Einsatzmöglichkeiten
Das Elektret-Schwanenhalsmikrofon GM-5212SW ist
für den Einsatz als Tisch- oder Pultmikrofon konzi-
piert (z.B. für Konferenzen, Präsentationen oder Talk-
back-Anwendungen). Es lässt sich direkt oder über
einen Mikrofon-Tischfuß an das verwendete Audio-
gerät (z.B. Mischpult) anschließen. Die Stromversor-
gung des Mikrofons erfolgt über das angeschlossene
Audiogerät oder über den Tischfuß.
2 Wichtige Hinweise
Das Produkt entspricht allen relevanten Richtlinien
der EU und trägt deshalb das -Zeichen.
•
Setzen Sie das Produkt nur im Innenbereich ein.
Schützen Sie es vor Tropf- und Spritzwasser sowie
vor hoher Luftfeuchtigkeit. Der zulässige Einsatz-
temperaturbereich beträgt 0– 40 °C.
•
Säubern Sie das Produkt nur mit einem trockenen,
weichen Tuch, niemals mit Wasser oder Chemika-
lien.
•
Wird das Produkt falsch verwendet oder nicht
fachgerecht repariert, kann keine Haftung für da-
raus resultierende Sach- oder Personenschäden
und keine Garantie für das Produkt übernommen
werden.
Soll das Produkt endgültig aus dem Be-
trieb genommen werden, entsorgen Sie
es gemäß den örtlichen Vorschriften.
3 Inbetriebnahme
1) Den beiliegenden Windschutz aufstecken.
2) Das Mikrofon mit einem XLR-Mikrofoneingang am
verwendeten Audiogerät verbinden: entweder das
Mikrofon direkt in den Mikrofoneingang des Geräts
stecken oder in den Eingang eines Mikrofon-Tisch-
fußes, dessen Ausgang dann mit dem Mikrofonein-
gang des Geräts verbunden wird. Das Mikrofon
benötigt eine Speisespannung, die über den Mikro-
foneingang (12–48V Phantomspeisung) oder durch
Batterien im Tischfuß bereitgestellt werden muss.
3) Das Mikrofon durch Biegen des Schwanenhalses
optimal auf die sprechende Person ausrichten.
4) Zum Ein- und Ausschalten des Mikrofons die Taste
am roten LED-Ring drücken (☞Abb.1). Bei einge-
schaltetem Mikrofon leuchtet der LED-Ring.

Niniejsza instrukcja przeznaczona jest dla użyt-
kowników posiadających co najmniej podsta-
wową wiedzę na temat technologii audio. Przed
rozpoczęciem pracy proszę zapoznać się z niniej-
szą instrukcją a następnie zachować ją do wglądu.
1 Zastosowanie
Elektretowy mikrofon na gęsiej szyi GM-5212SW zo-
stał specjalnie zaprojektowany do zastosowania na
pulpitach, mównicach i mikserach (np. podczas kon-
ferencji, prezentacji lub wykładów). Można go pod-
łączyć bezpośrednio do urządzenia audio (np. mik-
sera) lub za pośrednictwem pulpitu mikrofonowego.
Mikrofon jest zasilany przez podłączone urządzenie
audio lub przez podstawkę na biurko.
2 Środki bezpieczeństwa
Mikrofon spełnia wszystkie wymagania norm UE i
dlatego został oznaczony certyfikatem .
•
Urządzenie przeznaczone jest do użytku jedynie we-
wnątrz pomieszczeń. Należy chronić je przed dzia-
łaniem wilgoci oraz wysokiej temperatury (dopusz-
czalna temperatura otoczenia pracy to 0–40°C).
•
Do czyszczenia urządzenia należy używać suchej,
miękkiej tkaniny. Nie stosować wody, ani chemicz-
nych środków czyszczących.
•
Producent ani dostawca nie ponoszą odpowiedzial-
ności za wynikłe szkody (uszkodzenie sprzętu lub
obrażenia użytkownika), jeśli urządzenie używano
niezgodnie z przeznaczeniem, nieprawidłowo pod-
łączono bądź poddano nieautoryzowanej naprawie.
Po całkowitym zakończeniu eksploatacji
urządzenie należy oddać do punktu uty-
lizacji odpadów.
3 Przygotowanie do pracy
1) Założyć piankowy wiatrochron na wkładkę mikro-
fonową.
2) Podłącz mikrofon do wejścia mikrofonowego XLR
w używanym urządzeniu audio: podłączyć mikrofon
bezpośrednio do wejścia w urządzeniu lub poprzez
podstawkę mikrofonową, a następnie podłączyć
wyjście podstawki do wejścia w urządzeniu. Mi-
krofon wymaga zasilania (phantom 12– 48 V), które
musi być dostarczane przez wejście mikrofonowe
lub przez baterie w podstawce mikrofonowej.
3) Wygiąć gęsią szyję tak, aby mikrofon był optymalnie
dopasowany do osoby mówiącej.
4) Mikrofon wyposażony jest we włącznik on/off, znaj-
dujący się w dolnej części (☞rys.1). Gdy mikrofon
jest włączony, świeci się pierścień diodowy.

1 Posibles usos
El GM-5212SW es un micrófono electret de cuello
de cisne diseñado para su uso como micrófono de
mesa o de escritorio (por ejemplo, para conferencias,
presentaciones o aplicaciones de talkback). Se puede
conectar directamente o a través de un soporte de
mesa para micrófono al equipo de audio (por ejem-
plo, una mesa de mezclas). El micrófono se alimenta
a través del equipo de audio al que está conectado o
a través del soporte de mesa.
2 Notas importantes
El producto cumple con todas las directivas pertinen-
tes de la UE y, por tanto, lleva la marca .
•
Utilizar el producto sólo en interiores. Protéjalo de
gotas y salpicaduras de agua y de una alta hume-
dad. El rango de temperatura de uso admisible es
de 0°C a 40°C.
•
Limpie el producto siempre con un paño seco y
suave, nunca con agua o productos químicos.
•
Si el producto se utiliza de forma incorrecta o no se
repara profesionalmente, no se aceptará ninguna
responsabilidad por los daños materiales o persona-
les resultantes y no se concederá ninguna garantía
para el producto.
Si el producto debe ser retirado definitiva-
mente de circulación, elimínelo de acuerdo
con la normativa local.
3 Puesta en funcionamiento
1) Coloque el protector contra viento adjunto.
2) Conecte el micrófono a una entrada de micrófono
XLR del equipo de audio: directamente a la entrada
de micrófono de la unidad o a la entrada de un
soporte de mesa para micrófonos, cuya salida se
conecta a la entrada de micrófono de la unidad.
Elmicrófono requiere una tensión de alimentación,
que debe proporcionarse a través de la entrada del
micrófono (alimentación phantom de 12– 48 V) o
mediante pilas en el soporte de mesa.
3) Ajuste la posición del micrófono para la persona
que habla doblando el cuello de cisne.
4) Para encender y apagar el micrófono, pulse el botón
del anillo LED rojo (☞Fig. 1). Cuando el micrófono
está encendido, el anillo LED se ilumina.

1 Possibilités d‘utilisation
Le microphone col de cygne électret GM-5212SW
est conçu pour une utilisation comme microphone
de table ou de pupitre (par exemple pour des confé-
rences, présentations ou discussions «talkback»). Il
peut se brancher directement ou via un pied micro sur
l’appareil audio utilisé (par exemple table de mixage).
L’alimentation du microphone s’effectue via l’appareil
audio relié ou via le pied micro.
2 Conseils importants
Le produit répond à toutes les directives nécessaires
de l’Union européenne et porte le symbole .
•
Le produit n’est conçu que pour une utilisation en
intérieur. Protégez-le des éclaboussures, des projec-
tions d’eau et d’une humidité d’air élevée. La plage
de température ambiante admissible est de 0–40 °C.
•
Pour le nettoyage, utilisez uniquement un chiffon
sec et doux, en aucun cas de produits chimiques
ou d’eau.
•
Nous déclinons toute responsabilité en cas de dom-
mages matériels ou corporels résultants si le produit
n’est pas correctement utilisé ou s’il n’est pas réparé
par une personne habilitée ; en outre, la garantie
deviendrait caduque.
Lorsque le produit est définitivement retiré
du service, éliminez-le conformément aux
directives locales.

3 Utilisation
1) Placez la bonnette anti-vent livrée.
2) Reliez le microphone à une entrée micro XLR sur
l’appareil audio utilisé: soit directement à l’entrée
micro de l’appareil ou à l’entrée d’un pied de micro
de table dont la sortie est reliée à l’entrée micro de
l’appareil. Le microphone nécessite une alimentation
délivrée via l’entrée micro (alimentation fantôme
12–48V) ou via des batteries dans le pied micro.
3) Orientez le microphone vers le locuteur de manière
optimale en pliant le col de cygne.
4) Pour allumer et éteindre le microphone, appuyez sur
la touche sur l’anneau LED rouge (☞schéma1).
Lorsque le microphone est allumé, l’anneau LED
brille.
